  1. SHODAN from System Shock 2 and GLaDOS from the Portal franchise are obvious candidates.
  2. You would actually be the second to say that, behind myself.
  3. So, it's been a few weeks since Mario Kart 8's launch. Now that we've had a chance to experience all of the new tracks and updated retro tracks, what are some of your favorites and least favorites? My personal favorite tracks are Mount Wario, Rainbow Road, and DS Tick-Tock Clock. Each of these tracks are extremely technical and feature many cleverly hidden shortcuts or opportunities to overtake your opponents. My least favorite tracks are Mario Circuit, N64 Toad's Turnpike, and N64 Rainbow Road. All three of these tracks are incredibly straightforward and lack any sort of shortcut opportunities. Toad's Turnpike is especially frustrating due to the high volume of traffic that reduce the effectiveness of items, which is the only way to catch the lap leaders since there are no effective boosts or shortcuts anywhere on the track.
  4. The irony here is that many of you all are being extremely judgmental towards another community you consider to be judgmental towards Bronies. Even if you don't like or agree with The Fine Brothers or famous YouTubers in general, you should at least learn to respect and tolerate them. These are two key traits that largely define this fandom, and make us better persons for them. Personally, I don't watch The Fine Brothers but I acknowledge the fact that they found a niche on YouTube and have worked hard to reach the level of success they have today. Kudos to them.
  5. This isn't so much an underrated song so much as it is a forgotten one. Either way, it is absolutely fantastic. Midnight Oil - Beds Are Burning
  6. The rumor is false, The Last Guardian has not been cancelled. https://twitter.com/RohdeScott/status/475515804067569664
  7. You're damn right it is! Nothing beats an authentic slice of NY style pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately, if you don't live in New York it can be incredibly hard to find a place that does NY style pizza right. That aside, my favorite specialty pizza is a white (Alfredo sauce) pan pizza with chicken and pineapples...absolutely sublime.
  8. It's really strange hearing Korea try to emulate the Country/Folk movement that is currently very popular in the US. As far as the song goes, it's pretty good but when it comes to B.A.P I prefer the more hard and heavy style of songs like "Warrior". Anyway, the song currently stuck in my head now is Seether's new single! Seether - Words As Weapons
  9. After a lot of consideration, I've narrowed my choices down to two artists... Alizee Floor Jansen (Nightwish / ReVamp)
  10. http://imgur.com/a/i8uHg Confirmed: - Mega Diancie - Mega Sceptile (Grass/Dragon, Lightning Rod) & Mega Swampert (Water/Ground, Swift Swim) - Primal Groudon & Kyogre (See 'Primal Dialga') Discuss!
  11. I'll definitely be picking up the Luna and Rarity plushies once they're available, though I suspect Luna will be extremely hard to get ahold of given her immense popularity...
  12. I don't do heights very well. I've no issue with flying on planes, but I get sweaty palms when I get close to the edge of any sort of cliff or precipice. Also, I consider any sort of creature with more than four legs to be an abomination of life.
  13. The one game I've really been keeping a close eye on lately is Freedom Planet. If I had to describe it, Freedom Planet is like hybrid between the Sega Genesis era Sonic the Hedgehog games, and Gunstar Heroes. The game was supposed to launch last week but was pushed back to June 30. For anyone interested, there is a free demo available on the developer's site.
  14. I'm honestly surprised these guys aren't more popular, but I've recently started hearing them on my local radio stations so perhaps that will change in the near future. Regardless, this song has been stuck in my head for a few weeks now and has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. The Virginmarys - Just A Ride
  15. Twilight Sparkle - Calm Mind - Hidden Power - Telekinesis - Teleport Applejack - Bullet Seed - Bulk Up - Double Kick - Play Rough Fluttershy - Glare - Minimize - Rage - Sing Rarity - Attract - Dazzling Gleam - Fake Tears - Tail Whip Pinkie Pie - Dizzy Punch - Foresight - Tickle - Trick-or-Treat Rainbow Dash - Aerial Ace - Extreme Speed - Sonic Boom - Whirlwind
  16. As a child, I always thought I would grow up to be a computer engineer. As it turns out I wasn't far off, as I've been employed as a cyber security analyst for the last five years.

    gaming Mario Kart 8

Mario Kart 8 is a lot of fun, but it suffers from a few significant flaws preventing it from becoming one of the "best" kart racers. First and foremost, moving the leaderboard and minimap onto the GamePad screen was a very poor design choice. Not only is it frustrating trying to look down at the GamePad screen to see where everyone is and who has what item, but those playing with the Pro Controller or a Wiimote don't even have access to that information at all. Also, item balancing needs to be addressed. As it stands, it is incredibly difficult to break out of the 8th through 4th positions, and it is incredibly easy to maintain the 3rd through 1st positions. Regarding the character roster, I'm honestly okay with it. I agree that five baby characters is a bit excessive but the addition of the Koopalings is awesome, as Wendy is one of my favorite characters from the franchise. Pink Gold Peach might seem like a strange addition to the roster, but in Japan Metal Mario was one of the most popular and well received characters. Given that, it's not hard to understand why Nintendo added her to the roster. Overall, Mario Kart 8 is exactly what I'd expect from a Mario Kart game. It's familiar and fun, though slightly frustrating at times. In the end, I still think that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is the best kart racer on the market, but Mario Kart 8 is a solid entry into its long-standing franchise known for great kart racing.
  18. I really don't understand why Sonic Team always feels the need to constantly create new characters with every game. I mean, none of the existing roster has any real depth to them. Why not take an existing character and use it as an opportunity to flesh out their history and personality?
  19. I love Rouge for two ample reasons. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Really though, my favorite character is Wave the Swallow. I've always been fond of birds and I love Wave's personality. Also, she's purple, and that's my favorite color.
  20. Hello everyone, The name's Gardepede, and I'll be joining this seemingly wonderful community today. I'm a 25 year old Korean-American, born in Seoul and raised predominately on the East Coast. My hobbies include gaming, cooking, collecting Figma figures and Gunpla model kits, and (to a lesser extent) graphics design. Since 1998, I've had a vested interest in the Pokemon franchise. While I no longer watch the anime or collect the cards, I am still an avid fan of the games. Unsurprisingly, two of my favorite Pokemon are Gardevoir and Scolipede. On the topic of MLP, I took an interest in Friendship is Magic back in 2010 after reading an article online about the series. I've been hooked every since, though admittedly I still haven't finished watching all of season 4. I have all of the remaining episodes recorded on my DVR but I just haven't yet gotten around to watching them. Anyway, Rarity is my favorite pony. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. Otherwise, I'll see you all around the forums!
