  1. Cars, angry spiders, dogs, large amounts of people, zombies, enclosed spaces. Also being alone.
  2. This is a silly term that I have never actually come across before. I don't really see how someone would find it offensive. hape, v. to nonconsentually hug. "Help! I've just been haped!" I don't know a single person who would be offended by a hug.
  3. Network Security / Infosec / Penetration testing
  4. While I am male, and I don't have the requisite parts to experience the sensation, I am of the opinion that it is not a valid reason to take time off of work if it will not negatively impact your performance in any significant way. However, some women experience it differently, i.e, major cramping. This can be a valid reason if it is crippling. So no, not the period in itself, but maybe on some side effects thereof.
  5. Depends on the spider, honestly. Around here, we get a lot of brown recluses, though, to which I say: neigh. Those guys are dicks, ergo they are not part of the Man-Spider Pact of 2014, as signed by the Spider Dignitaries and the Resident of the Household. Otherwise, I leave them alone. Mostly. Sometimes there are border skirmishes. Hope is held between each side that it does not break out into all-out war.
  6. Exactly my thoughts. Both the Granny Smith and Fuji apples are my favourites; both for different reasons, but equally delicious.
  7. Ah, ethanol. How I wish I could have you. I have an allergy to ethanol; it makes me feel horribly, violently ill nearly immediately, depending on the ABV of the drink. If I drink very slowly, I can have a low ABV beer. I love beer. It does not love me. sniffs
  8. I am 'syrikaru' on skype. Add me, talk to me, but please avoid voice chat. I am also on Steam: luxypony. I occasionally play video games, though not many multiplayer. I may play some with you if you interest me in it. Otherwise, I am down to talk.
  9. Fair enough. I just noticed a lot of similarities with ASOIAF with the intro, what with the undead coming out of the frozen wastes and whatnot. I honestly didn't even get out of the first area because the combat was so awful. Also, the VA work was really sub-par.
  10. This. Oh my god, this. Gothic 3 was one of the worst games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Adding content, Bound by Flame. The story is literally a ripoff of A Song of Ice and Fire, and it's trying to be the Witcher, except linear, and with a combat system designed by a mentally handicapped ape. Awful.
  11. Stereotypes can be a useful teaching tool, especially if it's used to avert the stereotype. Stereotypes are an inherent feature of human psychology related to the concept of false equivocation[1], which is exceptionally common. While I also agree that the concept of gender roles is destructive to the fabric of humanity as a whole, the reasoning behind it is not unsound; for a very long time, it was very difficult to survive as a human[2], and since males are naturally inclined to strength and muscle definition[3], it is only natural that these gender roles developed. Now that we don't have to fight for survival (usually), the need for gender roles has diminished significantly, hence why people feel challenged by them, and the need to challenge them. Stereotypes are generally grounded in reality to some extent, hence why they develop. It is up to the writers of whichever show to enforce or break it. 12. The best possible way to make tea. and stir
  13. Both of these are great games. I just wish they'd develop Underrail more. Such potential to be a great game. To add to the topic; Hammerfight, nthing the Paradox Plaza games, Gimbal, Arma 3.
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO7VP34n2Ps Heaviest of heavy. But then again, so is all of Electric Wizard and related artists. Alternatively, Psych / doom is my forté.
  15. I used to have severe aquaphobia as a child, derived from an encounter with a large jellyfish. It took a forced swimming lesson (via attempted drowning ) for me to get over my phobia to the extent where I am not utterly useless in the water. I am of the opinion that aquaphobia is actually rather common; it's a big body of water that you can possibly drown in if you can't coordinate yourself properly. It's kind of reasonable, as far as phobias go.
  16. It's because people view neutrality as an 'undecided' stance, and try to influence you towards one thing or another. It is basic human nature to want to have people think in the same way you do. If you are surrounded by people who think in a similar manner as you, then you don't have to constantly worry about judgment and the repercussions that can arise from such.
  17. I do too. In other news, I am pansexual. Pans are great. Mmmn, that nonstick spray. (actually I don't care about gender because physical form does not wholly define an individual)
  18. The new Metal Gear Rising game; completely awful in terms of gameplay, but too absolutely absurd to dislike. How can you hate running along a missile to slice up a giant Metal Gear Ray? Come on. Virtual Boy. I really loved that thing, and it never gave me headaches. It was cool for its time. This, too. Summer is the opposite of good.
  19. I feel it. Superman 64 was tolerable. I rather liked the Star Wars prequels. In addition, I think all of television is intolerable, and most games a pretty much horrible these days. Tablets and other smartphone devices are distractions and not worthy of my time. Reddit is awful. Steam went downhill with the addition of Greenlight.
