  1. I don't think FIM can be topped...at least, not by another mlp series. After this series, I feel like the franchise won't come back for a LONG time. I mean, how will they follow up after such an incredibly popular and well-made show? I don't think it's possible. Maybe I'll work for Hasbro after I get my illustration degree...
  2. I just watched if for the first time... Oh god, that looked awful and way too sexual.
  3. We're getting a lot of crazy different answers here. Remember, the book in inspiration manifestation AMPLIFIED Rarity's magic. She isn't usually that powerful. I figured Flim/Flam would be equally strong as Rarity, if not stronger, seeing as they built that crazy, magic-powered machine that did the same amount of work as a whole group of ponies... But I'm not sure how much credit goes to the machine and how much goes to the magic. :/
  4. "Oh, dear! Oh dear, oh dear!" Fluttershy cried, panting heavily as she ran. The pegasus had attempted many times to take off and fly, but her wings seemed locked to her sides as her nerves got the best of her. She saw her friends tale a sharp turn through her blurred vision, and hurried to catch up. She didn't care where they were going, heck, she didn't care if somepony else had their hooves on the void stone right now--she just cared about making it out of this creepy forest with all of her limbs (and friends) intact. *** Zecora hummed as she pulled some leaves from a brilliant purple plant. It was nearly spring now, and her Autumn bulbs were just sprouting. She dropped the leaves into a mortar and began to crush them, humming along.Attest a moment, her ear twitched. Zecora put down the pestle slowly and tilted her head. She quit humming. What was that sound? She poked her head outside, and saw bushes rumble in the distance. "What interrupts my brewing potion? Somepony is making a great commotion..."
  5. Sounds good to me. You're in. Just read up on what we've got so far, then feel free to jump in. The floor is yours. Well, one of has to play Zecora now. I'll do it, unless one of you wants to.
  6. Do you all think Starlight started this cult because she was disappointed by her own cutie mark? I mean, we still don't know exactly what it means. Is it magic? Is it that specific spell? Or maybe she was something of an outcast to society, so she went and formed her own. She's like a more successful and mad version of Trixie. Anyway, another theory is that the mane 6 will have to "purify" her with their friendship-magic. Starlight Glimmer probably has an incurable personality, so they'd need to resort to using magic to fix her mind, whether it be the Elements of Harmony, or some new form of magic that they unlocked after becoming united in their sort of magical-royal-council-of-friendship. I could see this being the theme of season five. Find bad guy, save day, fix bad guy, repeat. Or perhaps, Find bad guy, save day, bad guy escapes, bad guys unite somehow, "purify" the lesser evils, then take down the BBEG with the old enemies as allies. As for HOW Starlight will make a comeback, I'm still unsure. She'll probably do something like what Trixie did, and take her problems to ponyville...and hey, if that means we can get another "zecora saves the day" episode, I'm all for it.
  7. How to stop Starlight Glimmer? Maybe...spread cult awareness across Equestria? That's basically the only way to deal with maniacal charismatic manipulators, but I really doubt the show will take that sort of turn. Maybe they'll pull some BS like what they did with Sunset Shimmer and just turn her into a suddenly apologetic good guy after beating her up a bit with the magic of friendship. :/
  8. Are there any other less-powerful unicorns I should include I this poll? Maybe to replace Stalight Glimmer, seeing as she's more powerful than the others on this list?
  9. You've convinced me. So, do you with the level system we have so far?
  10. I really wonder about her. I mean, is she a super-skilled unicorn, or is that spell the only one she knows? I think if its her cutie mark talent, it might have been somewhat of a freebie for her. Somewhat. I don't know. Is she stronger than Sunset Shimmer or Trixie? I kind of doubt it...even if she did get a 2-part special.
  11. I honestly love the idea of an element of sacrifice...but i think it would go to Discord.
  12. "So nopony sees see what happens next!" That could have taken a much more...graphic turn.
  13. Care to contribute here? http://mlpforums.com/topic/125542-place-the-power-read-post-before-voting/

I'd love to RP her, but I honestly have no ideas (yet) regarding what could replace Luna in her backstory. I guess I'll just have to do a little daydreaming and figure this out. :/ Would you have any suggestions?
  15. I picked Sugar Belle, but Double Diamond is a close second. Although, tbh, I liked Sugar Belle's design better BEFORE she got her mark back.
  16. We're just trying to place levels on the spells themselves, in terms of difficulty to learn and preform.
  17. This is a poll regarding this thread. The purpose of this thread is to gauge the power of the unicorns in the series, and try to figure out a sort of "level system". I encourage you to check out the thread and discussion before voting. I just want to see what everypony thinks. And remember, the level system was completely fan-made, so you're allowed to disagree with it. That's what the poll's for! Brief explanation: Magic will be scaled on levels 0-10, NOT 1-5. In this poll, I only included 1-5 levels per character to save space that would probably not be needed. (Ex: I didn't put "Level 10" as an option for Trixie, because there's no way she's that strong.) Got it? Good. Level 1 would be the most basic of basics. Level 10 would the Elements of harmony, the Crystal Heart, Discord, and Tirek.
  18. I just finished watching the two new episodes...that was some Cupcakes Jonestown Big-brother shiznat right there. It was really cool to see some other ponies kicking butt, though! I really liked the characters in this episode.
  19. Yeah, sorry about that. I guess my mind's been elsewhere lately.
  20. Handicapping? I have a feeling you mean the opposite, right? Like, they're under-compensated ability-wise? I understand where you're coming from, and I agree that a cutie mark shouldn't limit your talents, but I don't quite agree with this statement...simply because, well...it isn't the case. (and it isn't what we're talking about here.) This limitation of power ISN'T canon, and ponies AREN'T canonically limited by their cutie marks. If everyone except the mane six was weak/unspecial as could be, we wouldn't have the Wonderbolts, Trixie, Sunset Shimmer, or any of the other "rival" characters. Aaanyways... The purpose of this list is to try and estimate some sort of level system as close to canon as possible.
  21. Here's Amber Dust. Her cutie mark represents a light in the dark, or, more simply, hope. She got her mark by inspiring her friends with the help of stories of magic and adventure when they were at their lowest points (feeling as though life could only get worse for them).
  22. (This was more a question for you, Swinton. )
