  1. Fairness > equality. We will never get equality in certain areas. Nonetheless, it's important to remember that generalizations and averages are not always accurate. Where is this this rational majority I keep hearing about, then? They're certainly not the people who write the 'feminist perspective' articles published by most of the outlets I've seen. They are. On average, at least.
  2. I'm pretty sure it's the other way around. One can make it a constitutional monarchy. Yeah, I'm not fond of democracy as a concept. A direct democracy (which is what you're suggesting) is the ideology taken to the extreme. No thanks.
  3. That's not necessarily a problem. Socialism is an economic ideology. You might be thinking of communism. Doesn't have to be absolute.
  4. RationalWiki is about as bad as ConservaPedia now

  7. Unless you follow something like "New Covenant only", then you don't. You ditch it entirely. If you can find logical reasons not to believe in parts of it, outside of the Bible's context, you don't need to use it for morality in the first place.
  8. Not as far as I know. Which is great, because I never mentioned "the chances" or whatever "the final prediction" is supposed to be. I'm only talking 'boot evolution
  9. Ignorance of a child and the arrogance of an adult packed into one. Yay... Source: First-hand experience
  10. From what I've seen, most people who use it do it solely to be offensive for the sake of being offensive.
  11. no problem I tend to assume characters are straight until proven otherwise, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of them ended up being gay.
  12. Lol it's entirely possible. Gays aren't such a taboo subject in the media nowadays. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they added a gay character.
  13. Yeah, I never implied anything close to that. Only that it's perfectly normal to assume that a person would be straight.
  14. Ye... no. It's not society, it's simple statistical knowledge. Most people assume others are straight because most people have met more straight people than gay people (which is helped by the fact that there are far more straights than otherwise).
  15. I don't enjoy sexual relations with weapons, thanks.

  19. "people of color" Used by too many Marxists "women of color" see above "reverse racism" see above "misogyny" thrown around too much, and many times for very stupid reasons "white genocide" white supremacists are annoying little whineys "diversity" nobody wants this for non-Western countries "tolerance" usually used as an emotional appeal "equality" unobtainable goal "bigot/bigotry" useless buzzword that gets thrown around waaay too much Basically any of the neo-Marxist Newspeak the progressivist elite seem so intent on spreading.
  20. We have a lovely variety, ranging from Fox News wanting to turn the US into a theocracy, to the Huffington Post explaining why Black History Month is bad for not being about transgenders. Pick your poison.
  21. Mostly that they have a lot of young, impressionable people reading them. That, and they have a tendency to follow their ridiculous beliefs and start massive amounts of crap over them.
  22. Except for most of the mainstream liberal outlets (HuffPo, Salon, Slate, etc.), and universities (Berkeley) And it's not like being a white supremacist is a popular opinion either. After all, even being suspect of being one could destroy your career.
