  1. I know, right? I wanted to see her perform in the one Rarity had her in... I hope so! Not sure though...Shores got into more than one episode so maybe.
  2. Tavi? .... YES! That's how to properly exit stage right. And yeah, AJ was a hero here. Sad that Rara was too high on ego at first to question her manager but I suppose people tend to be reluctant to be critical of the people closest to them.
  3. I might agree with you. Very emotional too. The songs at the end made my face salty. Oh yes. That was my favorite too but this one is a good match. I'll probably rewatch this a hundred times like I've done for Lost Mark. *gives hoofsies*
  4. I do agree. Disagreements between two people often do have effects on otherwise non-involved third-parties. Although we tend to consider choices and situations from the perspective of a relational vacuum, this is not how it works in reality. Also, communication and cooperation are the best means by which to solve problems. I think it's fair to say that the two sides in the episode did need the "neutral" ponies to get them to see that. :grin2:
  5. That's a problem I've run into in real life. Even if one person is calm, rational, and willing to put down their pride, it still gets nowhere if the other person is not. Relationships are two-way streets in a sense. Also, I like how Fluttershy was essential to the solution rather than a sidekick.
  6. "Best ponies" may only be an opinion, but I agree! *brohoof* Also, down here is the southwest the original tale of the Hatfields and McCoys doesn't get around much. Had to look that one up myself.
  7. Shy might not be the best pony to keep Twi's feverish dedication in check but it certainly went better after our princess was exhausted. Twilight will always listen - just sometimes it takes a bit of time. And anyways, I'm not sure if either of them would have been able to solve the problem before they got that back history. No one can deny, however, that they worked together very well at the end. Part of what makes them my favorite pair.
  8. I know, right? I have been waiting for this duo almost the whole season! I was happy with the result too. Twi and Shy do great together and I'd love to see more episodes with them. I enjoy other pairs too but perhaps this one most because of how their personalities seem to work well together. And we can always do with more Princess Book Horse.
  9. I didn't mean vague with what happened with Discord. I meant the moral of the story was vague. At least that was how it was for me.
  10. I agree for the most part. I mean, it's only natural to have a full range of emotions and experience them. It's also natural to feel the urge to regulate certain emotions over others. In fact, you might say that regulating our emotions is one factor that keeps us above barbarism. I don't think Twilight shouldn't have felt how she did in this episode. Rather, I think the plot surrounding it was too vague. At the end of the episode, I wasn't really sure what she did and did not feel and what exactly happened. The ultimate point might have been right as rain but I was left too confused at the end.
  11. Don't forget that the episodes stream on equestria.tv on Saturday mornings. If you can't get on, links always go up on equestriadaily. http://www.equestriadaily.com/2015/11/season-5-episode-22-what-about-discord.html
  12. Hmmm, I think I'm going to have to concur on this one. -_- I think there were some other good moments - like with Spike. But overall, I would agree with you. Could have been better with some other characters or maybe some dialogue pizzazz. Lots of people seem to have a similar opinion on this one. Know what could have livened up this episode? Maud. She rocks!
  13. Didn't you know? That is why so many kids dream of growing up to be an astronaut!
  14. *gets on rooftop to declare how rooftastic it was* I totally agree. I really enjoyed this episode even though I saw it late because of a trip I was on. I've rewatched it many times now and it's up there with the Lost Mark as my favorite episode this season. It does well series-wise too. I love the Pies! We finally got to see them all, which I've been looking forward to since S1. Inkie...I mean Marble is my favorite! Or maybe Maud. So hard to choose.
  15. As slow as I can be with merch, I just found out about this today. Oh gosh! I know what early Christmas present I'm getting for myself~ So glad they finally did this. It's only been what? 5 years? Having a Christmas album is like having a holiday episode. It's semi-mandatory.
  16. Oh gosh! I missed this too?! It must happen! How long has it been since we've had a Twi and Shy centric episode? I mean, with those two specifically as the main. S1?
  17. I know I did. But I'm like Oliver Twist when it comes to Flutterbat.
  18. You and me both. Also, it would have been awesome if one of the others had their costume as a bat version of themselves! Can you say Raribat? View on Derpibooru - Original source
  19. Quite right. I may like this season the most for the moral lessons alone. It's super rare to have this kind of ending where a character gets to overcome an obstacle and yet retain themselves without conforming to the majority. It's really quite profound when you think about it.
  20. I love it when they surprise us with an unexpected ending that's good. I didn't see this one coming but I was very happy with it.
  21. Whoa! That would be one of the most cliched plots ever! I really hope it doesn't happen. The last thing we need is a resurrected King Sombra snatching the foal and re-enacting the story of Rapunzel. (I would laugh so hard.)
  22. I've only recently looked into this because I can be slow on certain things in the fandom. Honestly, though, I see a few problems with it that others have mentioned and/or touched upon. One issue is the cost/quality/dev time. From what I've seen so far of Herds, it's costing too much considering the length of development time and end quality (including character selection). In other words, other fighting games do more faster and with less. Even if you don't think cost is a problem, you still have the other two issues. I think the biggest issue is actually just the genre though. Fighting games are just not the biggest pull. I know tons of fellow bronies that would love Herds if it was just about any other genre. Yes, there are quite a few that want a fighting game but just look at the polls here on the forums. I've seen at least two and the fighting genre polled at 5% or less. I'm sure we'd get a more accurate rating with a larger polling base, but I have yet to find an outside poll on game genres that ever puts the fighting genre out of the dismal single digit percentages. (6% national share of video game sales was the best I found.) So, having said that, I just don't see this ever becoming a [significant or non-mediocre] success unless they branch out Herds as a series with different mediums like different game genres or a tv show. I'm not hating on Herds here. To the contrary, I love the style and if there were a tv series (or just a web series) I'd throw my wallet at it. Or imagine if there was a Herds game in the genres of Fallout, or Sims, or Age of Empires...I know legions of people way more interested in those sorts of things.
  23. Works for me! Now he has an extra pony to guard too. Currently in a belly, but still!
  24. Oh quite. It's hard to top the last episode on that, but this is pretty big too. I think most of us saw it coming. Great news all the same and plenty of fodder for the fics. It's awesome to see our favorite guardpony having a little fun! Or is that former guardpony now that he's a prince? No matter.
  25. Celestia just goes in and pays up for the damages? What about the bureaucracy? We need a committee! Now that's some strong character from the CMC. They'd have every right to be sore about DT's past actions but their commitment to their values overcomes it. It's really quite profound.
