Are we ungrateful and expecting too much from MLP?

To be honest, fan-service ruins really good shows... I hate when fans get their way especially because it won't please everyone anyway; there will always be people disliking whatever gets produced. I actually appreciate series or movies that go against what people might ask for or find enjoyable... I've really come to like cliffhangers and unhappy endings which has nothing to do with MLP in general but it certainly is boring to always get what you want or hope for in a show... -

Exactly this... I do prefer the English dub for MLP but the German dub seems decent and I like the Spanish dub =P

It really depends on what I'm watching... If it's interesting enough to keep my attention, I'll do so... But if I get bored, I check my phone or do some other stuff or even quit watching completely... -

I go with the classic Braeburn and probably Soarin too^^ I wouldn't really go gay for any of the MLP stallions though... I'd go gay for InuYasha -

The answer is simple... It doesn't really matter... I just find it ludicrous when people criticize liking fictional characters as if there was any problem with that... -

Actually, it IS the other way around... Your special talent determines your cutie mark... I liked the episode^^ Also, Flutters was the most convincing one to have changed and adopted their beliefs I think... It is more believable for her to change than for example Dashie... -

Reading about all the episodes you guys dislike I think about most of them thinking "Hey, I actually really liked those in retrospective" I can't think of an episode I really disliked. That is funny because I almost always consider things I've watched to be more or less decent or nothing special when I think about them even when I really liked them^^ -
I don't think you will get to know a person that well simply by spending time with them; it depends... It is true but I still don't get how that makes having crushes on fictional characters a "bad thing" or a problem.

It might be fun for you and I might find it enjoyable too but I generally dislike most people so specifically searching for people I like to be around seems like too much of a bother to me. And in how far is that a problem? People tend to be way different than how they act in public or around certain people... I act completely different around most people than I act in front of my family... And even to them I don't really show who I really are... I'm most honest on the internet actually...

1. Why would I need to see more people if I have not intention to? 2. Why would I envy you for that? Pity might not be the right word but I'm unsure whether taking that long to develop a crush or fall in love was a good or a bad thing^^

1. The internet still is a reliable source on what people like or have crushes on though... Just google for having crushes on fictional characters... 2. I dislike people and tend to not go out to meet random people... I hate crowded places... 3. I don't know if that is good or bad... I don't know whether to envy or pity you for that... I guess neither really^^ It still seems weird to me... I have never met a person or at least haven't talked about that with any person I know that has never had a crush on a fictional character...

I can't give you a scientific source right now, but I will do some research now^^ 2. You seem weird to me but who am I to judge^^ You are truly the first person like that I've ever met =P 3. That seems reasonable to really fall in love with someone but I'm still more talking about crushes here which is something completely else...

It is not weird because a vast majority of people have had crushes on fictional characters or at least on actors who aren't like that in real-life either... Also, if you ever had a crush on someone on the internet, that is basically the same thing because they might be someone completely different in real-life. And even if that is not the case for you, even real people act so much different than who they might really be so your "argument" makes little sense to me...

Interesting... I just realized my statement was a little hypocritical you could say since I'm in love with my plushie :3 Well not essentially hypocritical because I admit that I'm a zoophile and plushophile but still...

If you are attracted to certain looks and personality and get crushes based on that, you don't get the same feeling towards fictional characters just because they aren't "real"? That is weird to be honest...

But why not? Have you ever had a crush on a human being? If so, what made you have a crush on them?

I find it easier to notice smaller aspects in the scenes when I don't have to concentrate on reading and watching at the same time because it takes a little bit of your attention away from what's going on in the picture... Also, I do enjoy to do other stuff while watching Anime and if I watched subbed I wouldn't get anything of the show at all^^ Admittedly, you don't get much of an Anime while doing other stuff in the meantime anyway

I will almost always prefer the English dub since it's easier for me and more comfortable to watch instead of having to focus on reading subs... Also, I don't get the argument of saying the original language has the better emotions because I simply don't care about this but only pay attention to their voices in general and I tend to prefer the English ones... I don't really mind watching subbed though and will do if there is no dub available...

MLP ponies aren't human females and closer to real-life ponies than human females too... Not concerning personality but appearance...
