  1. I personally know quite a few guys that got a switch and they never experienced any of those errors. I feel like the internet may be spreading rumors again. Even "tech guys" can fall for them if they don't look into it enough.
  2. Have now officially confused self.

  3. I think some people may like the character dynamics that can be played with when two characters are stuck in some romantic relationship. It is still a very curious situation because shipping happens massively in a lot of fandoms. It might be linked to some human desire to see people linked together and not left alone. [Theory] People identify with certain characters and want to live their dream relationships through them in some cases.
  4. The brain-dead/alcoholic father is frustrating to see all the time because it tends to be used as a cheap laugh grabber or a way to skip characterization entirely. At least there are a couple TV mothers capable of doing basic tasks. Bonus: Disney channel's specific brand of teenager that has more 1st world problems than the actual 1st world.
  5. That reference to body pillows was awkward to say the least when I noticed it in stranger than fan-fiction. It really caught me off guard to see that kind of thing so blatantly used without being a movie reference.
  6. As a kid I actually remember seeing and using the different toys, I never watched the shows, and I hated the generation 2 ponies. They were always too tall and unstable. This problem is enhanced by the ponies never containing moving parts or ways to regain balance. The lack of balance in many figures like regular action figures and barbies was just too frustrating. I grew up with Generation 3 so I probably have a bias against the animated series.
  7. Planning on using the gym at the college I'm enrolled in. I don't have any good experience in a gym, so I'll probably try to force my roommate to go with me.
  8. The only reason I asked that question is because it seemed to suit her character well after seeing that changeling invasion alternate timeline.
  9. Were you inspired by anything in particular to stick her in this scene?
  10. Saw your topic about wanting to find a forum/content aggregator like FJ. Imgur, Voat(very small community), and gaiaonline(around 100 active members) are decent websites to check out.

I see what you mean. I can't think of any boards with a similar layout that have a lot of registered users. Maybe Newgrounds or an image booru has something like that but a lot of old sites lack substantial MLP communities ever since 2013.

Russian MLP forums are crazy and packed with fans so check it out sometime. Their entire fanbase has developed separately from the American one and it is amazing.

  11. Zootopia is the real success of Disney now. It grossed a massive sum of money in its opening box office sales alone to beat Frozen. MLP may be able to compete as a well known and recognized brand as well as having an established fanbase with a large range of ages and nationalities. Good marketing will be a major factor in the success of the MLP movie in the end though so we can't make many predictions now.
  12. The products you listed are very short from being "heavy hitters". Pokemon is actually property of Hasbro and Nintendo [it's Complicated]. MLP outperforms all of those properties (possibly even combined). They may receive more media attention but boy related toys have always had greater strength in that field. MLP is reaching further into other media, but it is an uphill battle for such an established brand. Hasbro has made a lot of risky decisions with their properties, so I'm sure they can stay quite competitive against the big boys: Mattel, Lego, Jakks Pacific.
  13. I could see it going for a NC-17 rating to bring in more people then release the X rated one as a director's cut.
  14. The first game to ever have an artistic and emotional impact on me was "Drawn to Life" from 5th Cell. I felt so immersed in the story and the characters unlike any other game I played before. It seemed like I actually knew the different characters and could understand their struggles in the story.
  15. Storms calmed down. I'm so happy to be safe.

  16. Tornadoes coming near where I live.

  17. Why did you join a forum then? This is such a lazy answer. You probably dislike personal engagement not people. I've met so many people who say they hate humanity and it hurts me. Apathy is terrible and selfish. It makes you a parasite to the world.
  18. I normally stick with business casual unless I am in a hurry. It feels amazing to wear a suit and tie and it really boosts my confidence.
  19. I attend a Southern Baptist church but I may be going to a Methodist church at some point. Personally, I don't like all the divisions in the churches and I feel like we need to work together more instead of debating unimportant theological points. "But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless." Titus 3:9 NIV.
  20. Lots of oceans and continents. Really, I expect there to be a mostly privatized space program in the United States and the fall of republicanism and democracy in many European nations, especially in the east. There will likely be a drastic change in manufacturing within the period and the energy industry. Africa will likely host the fastest growing economies in the world as well.
  21. I tend to lean "conservative" on issues but I have beliefs I consider liberal and libertarian.
  22. I just want to see the book from the first season (and used in other seasons) closing at the end of the cover. That would be a great resolution. The entire series will likely stay forever with the toy line. MLP is a popular brand that Hasbro won't let rot away.
  23. I have seen many jokes about Applejack lying, :scoots: Rarity being selfish, and Rainbow Dash not being loyal. -_- I get a good laugh out of these jokes but it made me wonder what the elements mean. A theory I have is that they are not related to what the character is or how they act. Applejack tells lies a lot, Rarity does things for her own gain, Rainbow Dash leaves in hard times, Pinkie Pie gets depressed, Fluttershy acts rudely, and Twilight is not always very magical or a good friend. Instead of the elements representing what the characters are, I believe they represent what the characters value and strive for. Sometimes the things they value the most are also the things they struggle with the most just like us. If their characters were defined by the elements they may be more 2-dimensional and less approachable. Extra Note: During the premiere of season 2, Discord reverses each character's element. Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash end up being the easiest to convert. That seems to correlate with them struggling with their values. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, however, live more like their elements which makes them harder to convert (especially Fluttershy).
  24. I personally dislike recreational marijuana use being legalized or socially accepted because it has the ability to damage the health of younger individuals and affects decision making negatively. Similarly to alcohol, I fear it could lead to more child neglect problems from stupid parents and poor decision making that hurts others. Cannabis itself could be useful in construction and fueling so I am fine with it. The leaves do have medical value as well, so under controlled environments, I believe it should be legal.
  25. My mother was kind of dismissive of the show when I first told her, but she saw the ABC news report on bronies and was shocked. She didn't realize there are so many fans and now she seems more likely to actually watch it.
