Approximately 6 months, 2 days, 21 minutes and 5 seconds. Whoops, missed this one. Right now I'm working on a major rewrite for Poniverse.net, not anything amazing for an enduser, but it's laying the foundation of some new things, I am enjoying this quite a bit right now.

I just impersonated your user in order to find out if this was a forum or client problem (browser), and the sign out button shows for me. My guess would be that you've recently installed a browser addon, or something else, that is interfering with the area. If you are logged into the site while in another browser, does it persist? If you are using chrome, open up an incognito window and log into the forums, does it still persist?

This isn't a bug. When you login to MLP Forums you are required to login to Poniverse.net. Poniverse.net is the central site that all of our sites use for authentication, one Poniverse account can seamlessly log you into another one of our sites. If you are already logged into Poniverse.net and you click Sign In on the forums, Poniverse.net will automatically redirect you here as you are signed in there. Logging out of MLP Forums, will not log you out of Poniverse.net, neither will logging out of Poniverse.net log you out of MLP Forums. During the weekend I pushed out a big update to Poniverse.net to upgrade it to the latest version of the framework it was built on, in this upgrade it contained a fix for 2 year old bug that went unnoticed until recently, the remember me checkbox on the login page had never worked. In the future, you can either sign out of both sites, which would be the recommended way, or ensure the remember me checkbox is not checked on Poniverse.net when logging in and your login session will end when you close your browser.

Hey Ponies, First off we, the techpones, would like to apologise for the large amount of downtime over the past 24 hours (2015-07-07 to 2015-07-08), this is unacceptable. We’ve made a note of what caused a simple migration of a server to slow it down to impeccably slow times. Should we need to migrate a server like this one again, we’ll ensure our experience here makes it sail along without anyone noticing. To give some context into why this was needed, pretty much all downtime events, including EQTV channel corruption, last month were caused by storage related issues; We just kept running out of space. So on saturday, we acquired a new server to alleviate this issue. This new server was added to our cluster and we performed a live migration of our data to the new server; This took quite a bit of time. The migration of data started at 11:29AM (UTC-8) on 2015-07-04 and finished at 13:46 (UTC-8) on 2015-07-07. Whilst this was the bulk of the data done and copied over, a second run was needed to ensure we copied any new data to the new server, however, this required that the old one be shut down so that nothing could be written to it. As it happens, this took much longer than we thought it would due to the sheer amount of files we have on that server. (For a technical reason, feel free to hit me up on this.) Again, we’re extremely sorry that this happened; We never expected the downtime to last for that long.

The problem for this would be on the ad provider's end, we only provide the space and they dynamically provide the code to put in there. There's nothing we can really do about that.
