Nice to see a background pony take center stage this time around. While there is nothing wrong with the main cast, they don't always have to be the center of attention. I also liked the concept here and that even the best of intentions can end up going wrong.

The vibe I get from this one is that Sunset is in her own comic strip and is making one of the standard expressions such strips are known for. Here's another example of a piece of fanart not getting enough appreciation on Derpibooru. Cosplay time. I never get tired of this stuff. These three have become such close friends. I don't have a good description for this one other than it's suggestive. More cosplay of Sunset but now with Twilight and Starlight.

What's better than one Sunset plushie? How about two of them! It's double the Sunset plushie. Such a happy Sunset. It took me a moment to realize that she is blushing in this one. Seapony Sunset. In such a tense scene as this, why is Twilight thinking about strawberries? What's the context here? I feel like I've seen this one some years ago. Maybe it's a new version that made some improvements?

Whenever a new episode of Tell Your Tale appears on YouTube, I'll go out of my way to watch it and then comment on it here afterwards.

Hitch once again shows that he's a voice of reason and one who remains calm... In most situations. The other three did try their best to help only to have the situation become worse each time, but with hilarious results and some G4 nods in the form of Sunny's tiny wings. I appreciate Hitch opening up to Sunny and telling her that she needed to believe in herself and not worry about how the others are progressing with their own goals. So her alicorn magic creates a huge amount of glitter? Well, if she wanted to be fabulous over using such magic, this kind of thing definitely works.

Sunset knows how to relax. She's a real inspiration to us all. Here is Sunset holding on to some balloons. I wonder if she is thinking of using them to fly. Sunset is the Empress of Dominion. Sunset the kayaker. Now this is what I call an Equestria Girls Group Shot! Such a sweet kiss.

We won't know for certain until the issue is released and whether they were allowed to even bring such a thing up.

Looks like time has been rather kind to Discord in some ways but crueler in others. I suspect not having Fluttershy around in his life may have made him lose what moral compass he had and has become a villain once again. Or, perhaps something else has made him go back to his old ways.

G4 was one of those once-in-a-lifetime things which are almost impossible to recreate successfully no matter how hard you try. G5 is going to be successful given the amount of effort that's being given to it but there is no way it could ever be more successful than G4. I know that sounds bad but it's the unfortunate truth. G4 wasn't perfect by any means though as it had its share of bad content along with numerous controversies that plagued it every now and then. There's no doubt G5 will go through ups and downs of its own as that's only natural in the world of animation.

I feel so sorry for Posey in this short. Is it her lot in life to be on the receiving end of so much grief? Also, Izzy was borderline obsessive over completing that gift for Sunny. I shudder to think what could've happen had she gone too far.

So that's how those 'sunglasses' Zipp is shown wearing during the credits come from. I was wondering on the side if we were ever going to get an explanation and we did. Zipp reminds me a lot about Pinkie Pie when she tried her hoof at being a detective. While Zipp's isn't as memorable here as she had no one to bounce ideas off of, I can appreciate the sight gags and reactions.

With a stern look like that, this version of Maid Sunset is one who appears dedicated to her job. Now this is really adorable. Ever wondered what Sunset's mane would look like if it were styled differently? Here are six such variations. Sunset and Moondancer. I don't understand what the context is here though. Um... This would be a difficult question for people to answer. It's suggestive because of what she says. Now I wish Sunset had actually worn this at some point during Equestria Girls.

Too early to say because we've only been given a small taste of what G5 has to offer. Maybe wait until the new show proper has completed its first season or set of episodes and then a more favourable comparison can be made.

$40 you say? And you beat it within an hour? Yeah, I had a feeling that this game was going to be on the short end of things and not exactly be a masterpiece, but for what it's worth, we should be glad that we got a new MLP game seeing as G4 never got one. The $40 price tag is high for what this is so that may be a turning off factor for some. I won't even mention reviews from gaming journals and websites as it's obvious what kind of score this is going to get.

Watching it earlier this morning, I have to say that this special wasn't bad. I did feel that the stakes were pretty low in comparison to the G5 movie and the usual MLP trope checkboxes were checked off to ensure that they met their quota. The animation felt stilted at times which is to be expected given the lower budget but I can let it slide. With what they had to work with, the animation has true potential waiting to be unleashed and I hope they get that chance in due course. I'm actually happy that Earth ponies were given some kind of magic to work with as it was something in G4 that was lacking. I'm certain the lack of magic for G4 Earth ponies was intended from the very beginning so as to strike a balance between the three main pony tribes, yet giving them magic now felt like an evolution of sorts or maybe giving them a new sense of self. Their magic being associated with the very earth itself was smart and it seems different Earth ponies can use their magic in different ways. Glad that Pipp got to do something this time around since she was given the least amount of screen time in the G5 movie. Wasn't expecting Zipp to take the reins and be the main focus but it shows that the central protagonist doesn't need to be at the center of every single issue that comes up. Sunny saving the day was expected because her being the central protagonist means that she needs to figure things out when no one else is allowed to. Do I think Zipp should've saved the day? Maybe but then I think she was okay with Sunny doing that. And we have a villain... Who shall remain anonymous until the show proper.

Sometimes, Izzy's enthusiasm gets the better of her and she doesn't realize how problematic it can be. I think they need to tone that down in the future. On a side note, I loved seeing all those bloopers which makes me curious as to what else happens in Maretime Bay.

Cosplay time again. In this scenario, Sunset is taking a break from her mundane job. This is oh so precious. Anime Sunset. Speak softly and carry a baseball bat. Group shot time.

I guess that means the happy ending from the G5 movie was only temporary given what this clip shows. It makes sense as you can't really expect problems to just go away like that. These things take time to be fully resolved.

I'm going to go into this series with open eyes and see where things go from there.
