Had this been released back on 2012 - 2013, it might have been more successful. But I guess the producers didn't see a need to exploit it too early and thus they released the Equestria Girls series. I joined the fandom in 2013, and back then, I would have been PUMPED UP to see an actual MLP movie that was not Equestria Girls. I have tons of friends I just met at my collage who LOVE MLP:FiM, but I don't know why they're not going to see the film... might be because of our country's dub. Not awful by any means, but it's sometimes laughably bad. Very few of them know about the leaks, and one told me if I knew of the leak, if I could pass her the link. Honestly, I first saw the leaked version, and THEN I payed to see the dubbed version to contribute for ONCE to the franchise. But when I saw the movie, I made sure that only those I trusted the most knew about my love for the franchise and that I saw seeing the movie. I believe that the fear of going to see the MLP Movie and being judged for it might be another reason why it's not as successful as we hoped :/

After watching my country's dub, I could understand A LOT better why Twilight snapped at the other Mane 5. The world outside of Equestria is different and they have to play by their rules. I liked how Twilight pointed that RD's Sonic Rainboom was not needed and caused more trouble in the end. I'm not too sure if Rarity, Applejack, or Fluttershy did something to deserve being talked to that way, but I understand that when you're angry, you can't always control your emotions, and they can be so strong as to make the other characters feel awful, even if they didn't do anything wrong. I'd complain about how Applejack and Fluttershy didn't do a lot (especially the latter), but that's something for another topic.

I also watched the Latin American Spanish dub, and I agree that all the VAs came back and did a good job for the most part. The casting for the others wasn't bad, but I didn't see any great performance except for Carla Castañeda in a particular scene. Capper's voice was a bit too distracting for me. I only went to see that dub just because I wanted to see how they adapt the lyrics to the songs, and to contribute for ONCE to the MLP franchise. I wanted to laugh so badly when the "We've Got This Together" song ended, as the final chorus is too literal, it forgot how the rhythm in the song went, and it's just too funny to take seriously. Gosh, I'd like to relive that moment! I had already seen the movie in English, but this time I could catch some jokes I couldn't hear well in English, and the jokes that involved puns were well adapted to the dub. I'd say the sound mixing was a bit muffled in places, like when Applejack explains that she was born in a barn and "spent most for my formative years". I couldn't understand Rainbow Dash say "Rrraised in a barn!". Fortunately it rarely happened in the film. The studio that did the editing is so far confidendential, but I can finally understand why! XD The songs that were adapted in the film and turned out good were "I'm the Friend You Need" (though some of the lyrics need a bit of work), "One Small Thing" and "Open Up Your Eyes". The first two songs in the movie had very simple lyrics that sometimes rhymed too much, and at other times missed the rhyme. I knew the lyrics in my dub were not gonna be too good, so I just made up MY own song translations. Overall, I definitely prefer the original dub, but I'm sure mine is not too awful. I'm glad I saw it on the big screen, and I would do so again with a *better* dub.

I was so excited when the little purple sparkle appeared on the screen XD And I was also enjoying how awesome it is seeing that logo on the big screen.

I have four favorites, which are "We Got This Together", "One Small Thing", "Open Up Your Eyes", and "Rainbow". My least favorite is "I'm The Friend You Need", but "Time to be Awesome" is in the middle. Cool, but not one of my faves. I'm starting to have a soft spot for it, though.

Nothing out of the ordinary for me. I was the first one to arrive, and after some minutes a couple of parents with their kids came too. A girl who looked a bit like my age stared a me for a bit, but I guess she was impressed I had the courage to see the movie on my own, 'cause I could tell her reaction was not of disgust XD All the people in the audience were not talking in the audience, which helped me hear some of the jokes that were whispered.

Of the 6 songs I've listened for far from this movie, I really liked: 1. We Got This Together 2. One Small Thing 3. Open Up Your Eyes 4. Rainbow My least favorite is "I'm The Friend That You Need", mainly 'cause I'm personally not a fan of samba, nor did I find that much purpose for it. It's still catchy, though. I like "Time to be Awesome" a bit better, as it sounds epic, and makes a bit more sense in the story. I just prefer listening the other four songs, but this one is growing on me.
