  1. She definitely would be happy about it, I'm sure! Of course, I see one rather big problem with that... You think the Wonderbolts would have any use for non-fliers?
  2. Rainbow - Do you think there's a possibility of Scootaloo joining you in the Wonderbolts?
  3. Rainbow - Has Zephyr Breeze hit on you at all since getting a job? Twilight - Do you see Spike as part of your family? Why didn't you take him with you when you went with your parents?
  4. Hello there! My Cutie Mark is a North star. I earned it by roughin' it on my own in the Everfree Forest! I have a good sense of direction, like an internal compass, and I work well at adapting to environments I'm not used to. You could say I'm a natural explorer! Of course, something like that is now my day-by-day, but it was pretty incredible at the time, especially since I got chased down by Timberwolves. My parents were worried sick about me, but I got out of it just fine, and, well, here I am! Nice to meet you, too!
  5. I can work with that. My OC needs to get some time in the limelight, anyway, so if you're interested, go ahead and read up on her and tell me if you've got any preference for an OC you'd like to throw at her, and we'll work from there! Haha, I know your Rarity! Back on my old account I was in EqE and I remember you! I'd be happy to RP with you! Do you have a preference on character to interact with? It might be fun to do a Rarity x Rainbow thread.
  6. I'll PM you soon! I've taken a look at some of your RPs, and I'm able to work with your style no problem. The question I must ask is whether you are OC only or if you are okay with playing canons.
  7. Completely separate from my Chrysalis Take-Over thread (if you want something that's not 1x1, check that out over here). I have nearly no RP partners in this fandom, and I'd love to make some more. I'm on another forum where I RP, but I'd also like to get a few going here! Chrysalis Take-Over will be my priority on this site, but if you don't mind me being a bit slow I'd love to start some things with y'all. I generally have a preference for RPing canons, and the ones I specifically take are Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, and Scootaloo (though I'm able to write Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity as needed, and I'm willing to try other canons). In addition, I'm quite the TwiDash fan. That being said, I do have an OC, so if you want to do OC RPs, I'm cool with giving those a shot. She's linked in my signature if you need to find info on her. I'm a little picky on who I RP with as I tend to prefer it with people around my level, so if you do have samples of threads that you've been in already, that would be convenient. And if you need any from me, I'd be willing to show you RP threads that I've done on other sites!
  8. I think maybe it's just hard for me to imagine a life without suffering. A lot of the terrible events in my life also led to the best ones eventually, whether it's been through meeting my best friends, overcoming the adversity that I suffered through in the first place, or learning a truth about myself I was uncomfortable to face but ultimately forced me to, and thus I came out of it being a better person.
  9. @kaiser5578 Hi there, and thank you for your interest in my RP! You have great characterization for Trixie in your samples, and I definitely had fun reading them! Unfortunately, though, I can't accept this audition, as it doesn't meet the quality that I'm needing from this RP. So you're not left not knowing why I'm giving you a no on this one, here's a few comments about what specifically in your RP samples led to this denial: As this is going to be a third person perspective RP, writing all of your auditions in first person is a little disorienting unless you're going to give a clear first person voice, which I didn't read into your narration. You have a few grammatical mistakes, and while I'm able to overlook the occasional typo here and there, they're distracting enough in your writing that they detract from its quality. In particular, there are some issues with capitalization as well as punctuation that are present throughout all five of the RP samples. Detail in your RP samples is a little lacking. This is probably at least partly due to your choice to make these RP samples in the first person, but I don't get a good impression of what Trixie is feeling. Many of the sentences you use are simple sentences, and while simple sentences aren't bad, an overabundance of them can lead to writing feeling choppy or empty when reading; extra detail would fix this issue. Now, just because I'm saying "no" now doesn't mean it's "no" forever. If you can work on upping the quality of your posts and then re-audition, I'm happy to give you another shot at it then! I'm wondering if I should include my own samples as Scootaloo to give potential volunteers a good idea of what kind of quality I'm expecting out of this RP. Hmm...
  10. I'm cis and very content as that, but there is a time during each month I've wished I was male instead.
  11. I've always been pretty non-religious, but doing research into religions has further turned me away from them. I used to say I was "agnostic", but thanks to some videos and information I've seen, atheist is a better fit for me. "Agnostic atheist" is redundant because atheism is saying you don't believe in god, not that you believe there is no god. One is passive, the other is an active belief.
  12. Well, when I was actually disciplined and it didn't just turn to arguments and fights since I'm an adult now, I was spanked and also locked in the restroom for hours on end after I did something wrong.
  13. Oh, honestly. Twilight's no fun sometimes, huh, Rainbow?
  14. C-cute? I - I don't know, but... Thank you!
  15. Hehe... Adorable. Your parents seem like they would be totally ecstatic to adopt her. Ever consider abducting her? I mean, it's not like her actual parents would notice... ... No, Twilight, I'm not encouraging your friends to break the law, why would you suspect such a thing of me?
  16. Rainbow and Twilight, do you two go flying together? I recall Rainbow being very excited when Twilight got wings because she'd have a new flying buddy. And Twilight, how do you like flying?
  17. Hello there! I work for the search and rescue team stationed within Ponyville. If you file a missing report for a pony, it's up to me to find them! I also sweep the streets during winter since the nights can get very cold and make sure all ponies are within their homes at night. Oh - before you ask, no, I'm not supposed to defend Ponyville or anything like that! I have no combat training, and we've already got an alicorn princess who can handle magic far better than I could ever hope to... I'm just supposed to find ponies and help get them home if they get lost or stuck somewhere. I get paid pretty well, I think! I'm living on my own and I haven't had any problems with getting by.
  18. So, Twilight... Guess Flash Sentry is off the table for you? For everypony else, if you could be the princess of anything, what would you be the princess of? (Obviously no point to Twilight answering this, as she's already the Princess of Friendship!)
  19. Your view on this is understandable. It's true that it's inevitable for someone to suffer because they live. The issue is that you can't get the consent of someone who isn't existing. That's why people argue against abortion in the first place, because the baby is unable to consent to the operation. Personally, I'm pro-choice, because I believe the needs of the person who's conscious and alive override the needs of the idea of a person that may exist someday, not to mention that pro-choice minimizes the amount of babies killed, minimizes the suffering of those living, and encourages the usage of birth control as well as support for children who are actually born. Pro-choice is ultimately the better option and has been demonstrably so. However, I would argue that the positives of living, and being given the chance to experience that, outweighs the suffering. Think of it like this: getting a vaccine hurts when you first get it and can even make you feel a little sick, but it's worth doing because it prevents illnesses that could be even worse for you. Perhaps that's not an entirely apt analogy, but you must get the point I'm trying to stress: the suffering that is inevitable with life is worth the experience of it. And perhaps you could say that it is inherently selfish to want a family, but wanting a family is in our genes for a reason. The continuation of our species benefits our species as it does for any other animal on this planet. That drive is something that goes beyond morals and ethics. In fact, I think morals and ethics should not be applied to species survival at all. After all, when all we can do is survive, we throw out moral and ethics out the window - people in terribly poor situations will be tempted to steal because that's the only way we can get a meal, an animal normally not aggressive will lash out when backed into a corner with its life threatened... The point is, having a debate over the morals and ethics of life is not going to change what our instincts tell us to do. Which is why I think it is best that we look at what humans are wont to do and adjust quality of life depending on that, instead of focusing on whether or not something is morally sound. Revolving back around to the pro-choice thing, I'm not pro-choice merely because I believe it is the more ethical option; I certainly do, but it's not the only reason. I'm pro-choice because I know that women are going to get abortions either way, regardless of how I feel about it from a moral perspective, and I'd much rather that women have a safer option to do so as opposed to having to do so illegally in a way that would put their lives in jeopardy. And even if women were somehow prevented entirely from having abortions, even illegally, children would be forced to grow up in homes that do not want them, which leads to child abuse, and those abused in their childhoods are often likely to perpetuate that cycle of abuse to more people, which would make the cycle grow bigger, and bigger. I base my decision here, then, on what I know people will do, and choose the option that is least likely to result in the more negative outcomes. Since the parents are the ones able to consent and make the decision, they'll be the ones I cater my own philosophy around. Maybe it is unethical for them to have kids because the kid cannot consent to being given life, but it's not going to stop parents from having kids, and that's a personal decision that they're going to make. Instead of holding judgment on them, I support organizations and legislation that support parents and children in need to minimize the suffering that life will inevitably have. Another thing to consider, too: you can only truly understand joy if you understand suffering. Suffering is what brings humans together, suffering is what highlights the good things that life brings. Suffering is a necessary part of life, but does that mean suffering in itself is entirely a bad thing? Certainly it's agonizing at the time that you experience it, but suffering is what helps to give life meaning. Suffering allows us to grow stronger. Suffering brings us closer together. In a way, suffering does a lot of good things, not just bad. The unfortunate part of suffering is that some people are not as resilient as others, and another unfortunate side effect is that suffering is disproportional - that is, it affects some people more than others, which is inherently unfair and gives some people an advantage over others. The problem with suffering is not that it causes us pain, because pain is where we find value, but rather that suffering is not evenly distributed among people. There's no way to solve this problem... But there are ways to attempt to lessen its effects and bring everyone to similar playing fields. I'd say due to this that I think it's more complicated than just it being unethical to give people life, though I understand the perspective.
  20. Ant invasions are pretty common here during the summer. It's really obnoxious; I've had food ruined because the nasty-ass ants were crawling all over it.
  21. Oh, hello, everypony! Are you all having a good day? I hope so! My name is Canary Wing, and I'm taking some time off of my job to answer some questions! Feel free to ask me whatever you'd like, and I'll answer the best I can.
