I think you’re referring to iridescence - it gives something a multicolored shine and, yeah, can be used for some really nice effects. Iridescent paint itself is a bit expensive for me. Except for the tacky version, which I’ve used as accents in a few of my pieces. Most of the time I use it on request, since I don’t need it a lot, but I’ve used it for a few of my own personal works. It’s practically impossible for me to recreate that effect on my own, heh. “Your work sounds pretty cool, even if it’s not commonly used. Here, anyway. Maybe. I dunno, I’m awkward. And probably insane. It’s funny, because that’s usually one of the first things I tell ponies that I randomly meet outside of business.” She continued a bit more quickly, “- But, uh, yeah. As of being a visual artist . . . It’s sort of like painting. I personally like to sketch things out with a thin quill, color the drawing, and then add lineart with a thicker quill. Sometimes I like to use a paintbrush to lightly add colors to lay on top of the other ones, which make for nice effects.” Harvest mage, huh? Didn’t sound like anything from this region of Equestria . . . not that Eventide was one to judge. I pretty much live under a rock, anyway. Don’t be awkward, Eventide.

I don’t like to use it a lot, though. It kinda feels like . . . mind control or something.” Thaaaaaaaat probably wasn’t the best thing she could have said to somepony she just met. Most ponies didn’t really like the sound of anything like mind control, especially with so many potential threats looming in and around Equestria. Cod.
