Well today was busy as hay.  Made worse by the fact the morning shift didn’t  bother to courtesy prep any of the airplanes going out on our shift (which would have been fine had their shift been busy) but they were slow, and they could have, and they know better than to not to, they just decided be lazy cause the manager isn’t here.    

It’s okay though.  Have fun in the morning prepping all the planes we could have already prepped for you, morning crew, cause my coworker and I collectively decided to return the favor.

Convo I had with my mom in the car this evening....
 

Me: Hey mom I might be going to a convention near Seattle in August.  Just lettin ya know. 
 

Mom: Oh cool!  Is it another one of those furby conventions you like going to? 
 

Me: Really Mom?  Furby?

Mom: What?!  I thought you once said you liked going to those furby conventions!

Me:  It’s pronounced  FURRY.    Anyway it’s for the show with ponies you know I like.  
 

Mom: Oh okay, well have lots of fun!  

Learned that an asshole base customer that left my airport awhile ago and hasn't come back in awhile is coming back to base here at my airport.  

I'm gonna have to learn how to be a "jerk" I guess cause I'm not putting up with the stuff this guy made us do last time. One of the biggest of many examples is when he'd tell us to pull out his plane at 4:30AM (1 hour and 30 minutes before we open), then have the audacity to not show up till 8AM a lot of times, and  the call out fees we stuck him with didn't ever seem to deter it.   And would always curse us out if we were even slightly late to getting his plane out, or did anything wrong no matter how small.  

My manager has a problem with saying no to customers when he should, and I already know this asshole is gonna try to brow beat him into making us bend over backwards for him like he did the last time.  I was way too nice to this guy last time, and I'm just not gonna do it this time.   In the words of Applejack: "NO WAY NO HOW!" 

Gonna be good practice of getting better at standing up for myself, I'll say that.  

My parents got me an airline gift card for my birthday in April (pretty much always my request when they ask what I want cause I like to travel), and I think the perfect thing to use it on this year is to go to Everfree Northwest.  

Haven’t really decided yet, but if I do it also happens that my friend might just happen to be in the Seattle area around the same time for one of his other friend’s wedding.   If that ends up happening I’ll probably stay an extra day or so to hang with him a bit before heading home. 
 

I’ll probably end up going.   It’s hard for me to turn down going to that area.   I love the Pacific Northwest area in general.  
 

Also means I’ll have to watch the final two seasons faster than I originally intended since I definitely won’t be able to avoid spoilers while there, lol.

Today’s been a good day!  

The owner of the company I work at showed up today.  He called us into a meeting.  Was expecting it to be the general stuff.  What we’re doing wrong, right, where we could do better.  Yada yada. 
 

Nope.  He gave us a thank you for sticking with em for the past year speech and gave us all $1,000 

Wasn’t expecting that.  Very pleasant surprise    

I’ve finally decided to start watching the last two seasons of MLP.   

I’ve been debating on whether I actually wanted watch the final two seasons or not.  But I’ve decided it wouldn’t feel right to not to.  
 

Im only 2 episodes in so far,  and I’m gonna take it slow and not binge it just to enhance the experience.   It’s real nice knowing I’ve still got episodes yet to be seen so I don’t wanna lose that feeling too fast.  

 

So was walking to the mailbox at work today, and I heard a “Hello!” And I looked all around to see no one and was like “Wtf, must’ve been our friendly ghost at work” 
 

I go inside, and I hear it again while I’m talking to coworkers, and I was like “Did did y’all hear someone say hello?!”  and everyone was like “Uh no.” and I start to think I’m going crazy!  Then later when I got my phone out I noticed it was currently doing a video call to @Astral Soul on Discord, and it was just him trying to say hi after it pocket called him.   

Apparently, there’s a prisoner being picked up on a jet here tomorrow at my work site.   I’ve seen con airs multiple times before, but this one is a little weird. 
 

The media has called us asking about it, and some police officers came by today to gauge where they wanna park the jet, and best way to walk the prisoner to avoid as much camera presence from the media as they can.    I’ve never seen this before with a prison transport.  From the limited info I have on the location they’re driving him here from, and the things they’re going through to avoid as much media as they can I think it is a recent mass shooter they’re transporting.  
 

Guess I’ll find out tomorrow when it happens.  Hope they keep a good eye on him and not accidentally let him loose while here or something.

A customer today came in with a contract card that I haven’t much experience with, and when I was trying to charge his bill in the system the card kept declining the payment, so I kept trying over and over again.  
 

As I’m about to give up and ask if he has another form of payment the phone rings as I’m doing all this, and when I answer I just heard an exasperated voice saying “You have to add the “N” in front of the tail number when you type it in!” And he hangs up.  That was kinda freaky and Interesting to know they’re watching , and glad he descended from the heavens to help, but I also feel like an idiot now lol!   I could tell I wasn’t the only idiot he’s had to call before.  
 

I’m glad the “recently posted in” thing came back again on the homepage.  It’s been nice.

I recently got contacted by a popular podcaster interested in maybe including  my story about when I witnessed a plane crash that killed all 4 people on board in an upcoming episode he’s doing.  
 

I didn’t notice the message he sent till a few days later cause stupid Reddit didn’t notify me for some odd reason, but if it’s not too late I might actually be interested.  Gonna listen to a few of his podcasts first just to see what it’s like and stuff.
