  1. Found this somehow. It's interesting. Also, I found a sketch that raises the question of whether or not djent is a genre. I think it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgVM48qNiqo
  2. And now for something completely different. Slice the Cake just released their first album this year. I think it's incredible; seeing how deathcore gets a pretty bad reputation, it's nice to know that bands like this, The Contortionist, and others are keeping the good parts of this style very much intact.
  3. People saying that djent bands besides Meshuggah are ripoffs of Meshuggah really get to me. If you enjoy music like theirs, it'll show in your songwriting. Simple as.
  4. Now to find a copy of Ki that isn't distorted...

the Devin Townsend album? because if so, i can give you the FLAC version of it (or MP3 if you prefer that).

  5. Heard this in a Turntable room. It's pretty rad how this band can make such heavy yet faithful cover arrangements of something like Winnie the Pooh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSKgOww3ycg
  6. Mike Patton's solo work can be very out there. He has a whole album's worth of the ramblings you hear below.

  8. I know next to nothing about this band, but DAMN is this stellar.
  9. How about my OC that I just have and don't really use for anything? XD http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/radio-head-r969
  10. One of my favorite mathcore bands, PsyOpus, covered this song. It was hilarious.
  11. I have a $40 gift card for a record store. What wax would YOU recommend, metal thread? In other news, Emmure appeared in my Contortionist radio on Spotify (ew).
  12. Royal Castle Friends Set :D

  13. I kind of feel like I'm leaning toward one side of the fence I'm on with Volumes. I like the instrumentation, but the vocals can distract from that a bit.
  14. Bought my first figurine yesterday. It's Fluttershy and it comes with a little suitcase and two chipmunks :D

I saw one with wings. Don't need it now though.

  15. I use Fraps as well. I tend to record mic audio in Audacity though, as Fraps' mic recording isn't the best quality.
  16. I think The Wall is superior to Dark Side of the Moon, and I like Behold... the Arctopus. People have given me crap for the latter. NNL and company should sympathize.
  17. Goodbye Ponibooru ;(

I should have seized the opportunity to get those torrents they put up :(

ponibooru was basically the largest repository of pony images available on the net. it's taken down now due to personal reasons, though, and there probably won't be as good an image site for pony stuff ever now.

    4. Nah

      Nah

      Who cares

  18. I live in Stony Brook, New York. The alumni of our school district include Kevin James and Mick Foley, which is pretty sweet.
  19. Upcoming? It's already out. I've listened to most of it, and it is pretty killer. Have more French djent.
  20. Coin Coin Chapter One by Matana Roberts was the first jazz album I remember enjoying to a large extent. The buildup in this track is especially haunting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FIVYIKzhzg
  21. My favorite jazz album of all time is this classic from the man himself, Charles Mingus. Absolutely untouchable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sagdEu1WSyM
  22. Djent with deathcore elements. And progressive stuff in there too. It's stuff like this that makes Chelsea Grin look like amateurs. Oh wait they are
  23. Seeing how his name is Radio Head, it'd have to be a Radiohead song. This song, in particular, is kind of ominous.
  24. Wow. Would 01011001 be the best place to start? And where would I go from there? Confusing... Is this metal enough for you? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph0cDjGELNU
