  1. I hope Tropical Melody is alright, he hasn't responded in a while. I wanted to say happy birthday to him but for some reason I cannot post on his profile.
  2. Goodness, Gorrath is such a brute in Megas XLR. Threatens his own minions with mutilation if they do not obey his orders. "Don't let him get away, or I'll have all of your jorblocks!" yikes! :(

  3. Even popular shows can be flawed, Dragonball Z is one of them. But really it's a story of its heroes making bad decisions and getting lucky, kind of annoying that it took the entire Dragonball Z series for Vegeta to learn to cooperate instead of his "every man for himself" routine, he made the same mistake in Buu arc as he did in Cell/android arc, lets his enemies reach full power to satisfy his ego. I guess a guilty pleasure movie for me would be Space Jam, it had such a great theme song though, but good songs alone, do not make a good movie, it had its problems which critics did point out. A guilty pleasure video game for me, it would be Sonic Unleashed, again, that game had a great OST, but problematic video game design.
  4. I'm shy of my MLP fan fiction about rebirth, which is why I don't use my real name. You might have figured it out already though. But that does not matter, it reflects my desire for a kinder world. I respect people here all the same. Whether you like my opinions or not, you're part of a community that is so respectful and caring, and I thank you.

  5. If the show had continued we could've seen Queen Chrysalis be reformed. And after that in this hypothetical conclusion, perhaps Twilight Sparkle could develop a blessing spell that for as long as Changelings do not leave Equestria, they would never need to feed on emotional energy again. For the spell to work, war with Changelings would need to end.
  6. I don't suppose people who created the show thought that part through, that could have proven to be a very dangerous weapon for villains in the show.
  7. Megas XLR had racist characters, Gorrath calls Coop a "monkey boy" after threatening to return, his utter contempt for humans on display.
  8. Honestly, though my opinion may not be popular, I would have liked to see Chrysalis reform in later seasons of the show MLP FIM, I don't know how it would happen though, but getting her to let go of her hatred for Twilight Sparkle and her friends, would've been a cute scene. It's easy for people to hate her back for what she has done, but no one starts out evil. I have to agree with a friend who emailed me about this one time, it is sad that Chrysalis is consumed by bitterness, even when shown by Thorax that Changelings did not really need to live a parasitic lifestyle to survive, as love and the positive energy that comes from it in Equestria, can be shared. Although she got locked in stone in season 9 and was imprisoned for her aggression against Equestrians, an eternal punishment basically removes all possibility for redemption for her, which sucks.
  9. Kindness, probably, I don't have as much of a sense of humour as Pinkie Pie does and I am not very good with jokes. So comparing myself to Pinkie Pie would not be accurate. However I more closely align with Fluttershy's element out of all the other elements. I guess loyalty works for me as well, a little of myself exists in Rainbow Dash. Quite literally my MLP fan fiction involves my imaginary self reborn as a Pegasi in alternate timeline Equestria to be their friend. And my desired personality traits are what Fluttershy's are. Even if shyness made others perceive me as weak, I would not care, I'd much rather that happen than be abusive. Magic would be cool and all, but if I had that in that fantasy world I would be too worried about it corrupting me which is why I don't desire to be a Unicorn if such a wish came true in a fantasy world scenario. There's nothing inherently evil about being a Unicorn, so please don't take this as an argument for speciesist supremacy, an attack on any fan who wishes they could be a Unicorn in Equestria or anything like that, that is not my intention, and I would not want it to be interpreted that way, either. All I am saying is I would not trust myself with that amount of power, ruining that world even by reckless or negligent behaviour, would be unacceptable to me.
  10. Megas XLR OST Ro Sham Bo is definitely one of my favourite tracks from that TV series.

  11. and they are a waste of money. Vaping may do less damage than smoking, but the best thing is to try to quit altogether, even if it's hard. Some people never start vaping or smoking in the first place. Considering that vaping can cause inflammation of the lungs it is clear they are doing something harmful.
  12. I don't know what's more stupid in early gen Sonic the Hedgehog video games, the fact that Sonic can still drown with invincibility, or the fact he can drown but still breathe in space.

I guess developers thought giving Sonic an astronaut suit in stage acts in space in Sonic Adventure 2 would be too cumbersome for the player. :D

  14. I never saw Fluttershy's shyness in MLP FIM as a weakness, a lesson to be learned is it is okay to show vulnerability, it is okay to have good manners and respect for others. And if I were in that fantasy world as a Pegasi myself, I would like my personality to be similar to hers. If being shy and sensitive makes me a better person, I would have no problem with it. I wished I could be like her, I don't always behave in a way that she generally does, but I try.

  16. Amused, laughing at an episode of Megas XLR.
  17. I prefer the video games of Pokemon compared to the anime, mainly because of the fun factor of gaming. The anime can be funny sometimes, particularly scenes with Team Rocket, for example James getting attacked by Victreebel gag, but there are not many episodes from the show I enjoy watching otherwise. Despite its poor reception I think Pokemon the First Movie is better than one might expect, Mewtwo actually calls trainers out for being exploitative toward Pokemon, making them battle for entertainment, though he was sort of hypocritical about it with his clones, I guess they needed something to move the plot along or to make it interesting for fans to watch. Mewtwo learned humans are also capable of compassion as well, when Ash was willing to throw his life away to stop their battle, which could have ended in death. Otherwise the anime is not great. Even in the context of the show, Ash fails at being a trainer in season 1, didn't even earn all of his badges, some gave their badges to him after feeling sorry for him, which makes you understand why Charizard disobeyed him.
  18. Pokémon Stadium 2 - Gym Castle Battle!: Kanto
  19. Ignorance, I guess. Rainbow Dash would've learned of the brutality of pirates in the movie though, I doubt she liked pirates very much after that. I mean, Storm King's thugs literally kept Ponies as slaves.
  20. They're repeating a pattern that also exists in our world, people with brazen bigotry view empathy as a weakness, the problem is people like that are often rewarded for treating people badly monetarily or politically, and so they continue to do it, if they are rewarded for bad behaviour, then they never truly learn how to treat a friend well. Didn't Elon Musk say empathy is a weakness? he is wrong of course. However flawed that claim is, there are people in real life who truly believed that even though historically, as social animals, altruism helped us survive and even push out some of the worst people. I would not call that bad writing to have villains in My Little Pony FIM who believe empathy holds them back or whatever, however with Discord, it was clear there were attempts to reform that villain, but it doesn't seem like creators of the show really followed through with that storytelling, they kind of left it up to interpretation as to whether or not he was truly reformed, considering he continued to behave recklessly and selfishly toward Ponies beyond season 4.
  21. I don't believe you're not working enough. People are judgmental though, if you're working but have difficulty finding money for say moving home, yeah that is one common faulty accusation that would get brought up by people who don't know you. If people travel with family but can't work even if it's only for a short time or if you have a good reason to be out of the country or State, like say visiting a relative or getting life saving surgery procedure done at a hospital somewhere else, people would assume everyone who does that are committing welfare fraud or something like that. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. The inescapable hellscape that is our planet.
  22. One show I wished would get a revival is Megas XLR. I loved that TV show, seeing Kiva, Coop and Jamie on their adventures. Seeing Coop blunder his way through defeating REGIS was funny.

  23. Blues Saraceno - Ro Sham Bo Megas XLR OST.
  24. From the beginning first. I saw clips on Youtube before that, but they hardly count as watching a whole episode. I loved the first episode though, seeing part 2 of episode 1 was endearing to see Princess Luna learn that family disputes don't have to be dealt with through violence. Princess Celestia also showed her maturity in this situation when she forgiven her sister instead of immediately banishing Luna to the moon again. Princess Celestia could've acted differently, it's not like she had to show mercy, but she did it anyway. That is an inspiring episode because it showed that justice isn't always about punishment, the other component of it is to make others learn what they did wrong, to learn how to say sorry and mean it, to not repeat the same mistake again. Conflict resolution is about stopping violence first and foremost.
  25. To reiterate my point yesterday about Dragonball. In relation to what some other people said about it, screaming and muscles is not the only criticism to make about the show, there are better ones. Bad decisions characters make, like Goku not taking his second year in the hyperbolic time chamber because he did not believe he could handle the training. Relies on his son, when he could have achieved Super Saiyajin 2 himself, and that was shown in the later arcs during the 7 year time skip, he would've reached SSJ2 before SSJ3 in Other World during that time. in OG Dragonball Goku was written better and to be less of a fool, but in DBZ and onwards his writing got a lot worse, both in and outside of filler. I can forgive the power up schtick to an extent, because they need to rely on their emotions for their transformations to work, it sort of makes sense within the context of saiyajin biology and mysticism in Dragonball fiction, but making the heroes as incompetent as they are, is unforgivable in my book. Fast foward into Dragonball Super beyond Broly movie, why is Frieza still alive? I cannot stand Goku in that timeline or Vegeta, they're both fools who don't even recognize the danger they're up against, they got their comeuppance for their ignorance in Black Frieza arc, but at what price? Frieza has not reformed and continues to be a problem. If Goku had any common sense, he would've asked for Frieza to be reincarnated, like Buu was, eliminating the problem and saving viewers from the monotony of a recurring villain we are sick of seeing. I agree with what some people said about it earlier, Dragonball certainly does not deserve the popularity it gets.
