Glory to the Vanu! As you can see. we are taking down the more heavily populated factions! Domination should be ours, hopefully.
  2. Although some of them look awesome, I think the indie scene in general is still plagued by one thing: Minecraft. Loads of games seem to share the "block" system, whilst that is not in itself a bad thing, I think it just shows a lack of originality. Definitely some good games on greenlight though, and I can see some truly superb games coming out of it in the future.

I'm part of the Vanu too My character is Pyrolysis, so you may find me some time The new conglomerate are winning, so we better fight them back. EDIT: I just took part in an epic hour long siege by the Vanu to take the Crown from the Terran. We are underpopulated, underpowered, but we still prevailed over the vastly larger force. We epically battled up the ridge, then battled through the massive complex to attain victory
  4. I'm no expert at java, but could it be an error related to use of Modifications in multiplayer?
  5. Favourite pokemon? Glaceon. It's Sp. Atk makes it lethal to all uber-legendary dragon types. Also, its epically cute and awesome. And game? Well my first Pokemon game was Emerald, so I'd say it is still my favourite today.

Right, tried it out today and my first impression is... pretty good. The big battles are awesome but the game is a bit buggy. I'm playing on EU server 1, so if anyone feels like joining me thats where I am.
  7. First impression of Planetside 2: The installer crashed and I had to hard reboot the computer.

Found this topic, here to say I have a key to the closed beta via PC Gamer magazine. Looks like it will be awesome, I'm downloading it now.
  9. I don't really order my bands, I never really have solid favourites, but I'd say my favourites at the moment are: - Dream Theater - Rush - Nightwish - Between the Buried and Me - Iron Maiden
  10. I'm a left handed guitar player, and I feel your pain, I hate not being able to find left handed guitars, shops around here hardly stock the ones I want. As for riffs, I'm more of an improviser, mostly because musical notation annoys me, and partly because I find it more fun. The first song I tutored myself properly was The Killing Hand by Dream Theater. It was a fun song to play and it is quite an accomplishment learning to play a long song. In terms of fun riffs to play I'd recommend all the usual bands: AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, that sort of thing. They have lots of awesome riffs to learn.
  11. Hmm, you could have a go at Empire by Queensryche if Crispy's suggestion isn't what your looking for. It is a direct criticism of the American system of pumping billions of dollars into national defense and neglecting law enforcement. I wouldn't know about that personally, I don't live in America, but I think it might be what your looking for. I would have suggested any Rage Against the Machine song, but they have quite a large amount of explicit language, which wouldn't be great in English class. Anyway, here's Empire:
  12. One of the most impressive Progressive Metal albums I have listened to in quite a while. The instrumentation, especially the violins, make it epic.
  13. Planetside 2 and Total War:Rome II. Both promise to be superb and I'm pretty sure they will be. Planetside 2 is a MMOFPS with large sprawling battles with hundreds of players, and Total War is an awesome strategy series created by the Creative Assembly, whose previous games in the total war series have been nothing short of amazing. Rome II is pretty far away though, so it is a while before it will be released. Speaking of games taking long to release, I really can't wait for Half Life 3.

    mega thread Anime Discussion Thread

Yeah, I've always wanted to watch anime,(The only one I ever watched properly was the Pokemon anime) but there is just such a large selection, it makes it incredibly daunting trying to find out which one to start with.
  15. I don't think there will be any significant sign of ageing in the show. I think as long as the show will be made the CMC will always be fillies (barring a 'future CMC' episode of some sort) and the Mane 6 shall stay relatively around the same age.
  16. They don't know... and they shall never know. If I'm honest, I've never had the courage to tell them because I don't know how they will react. Most of my friends know, and they just think its weird.
  17. Gaben is best pony.

Then why haven't I heard of him?

  18. Galactic Civilizations II. It was a bit like Sid Meier's Civilization... except it is in space. I'm a bit of a sci-fi nut, so I loved it. You got to build your own ships, wage war with enemy fleets and conquer the galaxy. I think it is pretty unheard of, even though it was developed by the same company that would later release Sins of a Solar Empire, which is also an awesome game.
  19. Bronies officially recongnised by Bioware. Well... sort of...
  20. I really wish more people would have heard about Opera. I have tried every single browser in the survey and Opera completely surpasses them in usability and simplicity, its Turbo mode, although occasionally buggy, is really good on my slow connection and its Speed Dial page is an excellent hub to get to where you want to go quickly.
  21. Nothing like relating to my inner geek with Powerglove's power metal cover of Gotta Catch em' All. Still awesome, no matter how many times I listen to it.
  22. Clayman is definitely my favourite In Flames album. Whilst I liked their other four 90's albums, it has the best production and the most interesting melodic guitar playing.
  23. Opera is best internet browser. I have a bad connection, and its Turbo mode makes web pages load incredibly fast, plus it saves all your tab sessions from your previous browsing. Speed dial means that you can get to web pages fast and even though it is less well known, it works with pretty much every website.
  24. Other people who like Night at the Opera aswell? I love Night at the Opera. It doesn't quite edge out Imaginations from The Other Side, but it is still absolutely epic. Speaking of Blind Guardian, well here is one of my favourite songs by them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ga-q0F7oWnU
  25. Uh my favourite debuts would probably be: Scar Symmetry - Symmetric in Design The Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium Sonata Arctica - Ecliptica Tesseract - One Dragonforce - Valley of the Damned Periphery - Periphery Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine Cynic - Focus King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King I could list loads more, but those are definitely some of my favourite debut albums.
