PsychedelicPony 440 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 I don't think so as their competitor Universal already has some rights to Transformers, but that being said Universal did have Marvel and I believe Disney bought that out from under them. CT-1138 3,182 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Now seriously, Disney has been doing awesome things with Marvel and Star Wars, I'm also a Disney fan so why not?If by awesome you mean "dumbing down" and "destroying" respectively, then yes. 2 Love is a most potent magic My FiMFiction | My DA | My Facebook
Banul 3,831 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 As long as the didn't fire the whole MLP team and bring in replacements, I think it would be fine. I'v always thought Disney tended to do a good job with its IPs.

Theshadowmaster235 70 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Disney is pure evil they've already destroyed star wars and just like modern day nickelodeon they ruin everything they touch if they buy hasbro and ruin mlp(and everything else hasbro has made) they will have to answer to an army of angry fans and I don't want to here about Disney making good shows and movies because they haven't made a good show in years they have strayed away from what Walt Disney had originally wanted and that was to make something that everyone can enjoy more than half of the shows on Disney channel are made solely for young children and have little to no redeeming qualities Disney XD isn't much better it used to have a few good shows but now it's mostly trash as well. Silver Letter 1,832 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Disney is a dangerous company. I hope this property does not fall into its hands. They are about to obliterate Star Wars so I don't want to see the same happen to MLP. Silver Letter!!! Comet Starflash 46 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Disney have already taken my beloved Star Wars (which, by the way, if they screw up I will hate them forever) now if they took mlp and made it bad... Espurr 449 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 (edited) If they take it, then we need to ban together one summer and protest at the Disney studio. Plenty of bronies probably live near there so those that will live closest will take them down first. Then a couple months later when they think it's all over then the rest of us with attack wil protests! Edited June 4, 2014 by Star Ruby I don't care what pony you like because I like everypony! Jon the VGNerd 885 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Disney already bought LucasArts, so its more than enough. Disney needs to stop being greedy and leave Hasbro be. Who knows what'll happen if Disney buys Hasbro (again, because greed).
RubyVesper 100 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Meh, I don't really care too much about that possibility. Wander Over Yonder proves that Disney can let us have good stuff, so if something is already good in a way that would suit Disney (coughMLPcough), it'd probably be just fine. And yeah, I watched all of Wander Over Yonder in one afternoon. I need more now. Upcoming music producer waiting for the money to buy a new Mac. Discordly Cutiepie 2,065 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 honestly i think in Disney took over MLP then it would become overly girly and i don't want to see that happen also most of the Disney movies that came out recently i don't like too much i used to like them but i don't know what went wrong with them anyway whats with Disney wanting everything don't they have too much as it is Don't judge a book by its cover. RainbowMau 291 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 If by awesome you mean "dumbing down" and "destroying" respectively, then yes. Superhero movies like Avengers, Thor, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy... TV shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., animated movies like Big Hero 6... And what about things like Star Tours (which BTW was way before Disney's purchase)... Yeah, big dumble down and destroy.

The Crimson Cross 7,532 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 I'm not particularly even sure why Disney would even think about buying Hasbro. I don't think Littlest Pet Shop and Furby are really their style either. Though to me Transformers seems a little too much action for Disney. I don't really know. Maybe it would be better? Since everyone here seems to be complaining about what would happen, I'll be the devil's advocate and say something different! We would likely get more MLP merchandise and games MLP would be advertised better there would likely be more MLP movies The show could possibly run on for longer Lot's of attention in the media Since the writers and such would still be doing their thing, I doubt their awesomeness is going to be withheld. Likely to see more epic moments like the season 4 finale! Personally I don't want it to be bought out by Disney, but I thought I'd throw in some ideas! Now with more added tea leaves! Silverhoof 2,844 June 5, 2014 Share June 5, 2014 If this happened, I would start a petition to create an MLP ride at Disney World, full animatronics, done Pirates style. All the villains would be there, the good guys, even Derpy (who would be somewhere in the background of every group scene) and Discord would hijack the ride into chaos, until Princess Twilight got things back under control. CT-1138 3,182 June 5, 2014 Share June 5, 2014 Superhero movies like Avengers, Thor, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy... TV shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., animated movies like Big Hero 6... And what about things like Star Tours (which BTW was way before Disney's purchase)... Yeah, big dumble down and destroy. Avengers was mediocre so was Thor. Winter Soldier was very good, I'll admit. Haven't watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, but I hear good things. Guardians of thd Galaxy hasn't even come out yet, but I'll be surprised if that doesn't flop. And I do know since Disney bought Marvel, the comics have been worse. Also, Star Tours is a crappy knockoff trying to imitate Star Wars. Furthermore, Disney has already canceled a couple anticipated games, Star Wars: The Clone Wars just as it was getting great, and obliterated the EU like the Death Star did Aldaaran. Sigh. That was a day millions of fans suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. 1 Love is a most potent magic My FiMFiction | My DA | My Facebook
Steel Accord 6,660 June 5, 2014 Share June 5, 2014 I'd be delighted! They wouldn't change Studio DHX, so the quality of the show would not suffer. All it means for us is that we get to see many of our childhood icons now co-exist with our new beloved characters! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeez upon reading some of your comments, I'm a little disheartened. Disney isn't some evil empire, it's an entertainment company that has brought the world joy time and again as per the vision of it's founder. Yeah they've made their mistakes, but it was never to intentionally make the material worse. Sometimes creative decisions don't pan out, you can't blame them for trying. They are indeed a large company, but I think the idea that "corporations are evil" is something we ourselves have been indoctrinated with. Why can't a for profit company make money and still live up to it's founding vision? I think it can, and baring a few stinkers, I believe they have. I don't regret a single iota of support, financial or otherwise, I've given my hero's legacy. 1 My ponysona: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/steel-accord-r1970 My AMA thread: http://mlpforums.com/topic/76698-as-steel-me-andor-oc/

That's destroying American heritage. Not to mention they've been known to butcher foreign films they buy the rights to in an effort to "make them more marketable to America" and they're huge supporters of SOPA. Seems pretty evil to me. The Crimson Cross 7,532 June 5, 2014 Share June 5, 2014 Gee @Steel Accord! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this! I guess your point on how we see corporations as evil is very true.
