This day just got worse

Today has certainly been a pretty bad day so far. Sure I almost dropped my phone in my cereal and had to memorize an entire book in 20 minutes for my ap English final, but no it gets worse. On top of all that I failed my physics final pathetically with a 25. I wasn't taught a majority of the stuff on the final due to trasferring states. Basically time was running out during the test which made me start to freak out and rush resulting in me doing even worse not to mention I didn't know how to do like 80% of the questions. so unless my mom somehow talks the counselor into curving my semester grade I'll have to retake the whole year of physics next year. not a happy camper. At least this doodle of my ponysona let me vent a little.

 

 

 

 

On the bright side my nutrition class made cupcakes for our final today.

Speaking of the bottom, I sat in organic chemistry lecture as the results were discussed. The low score was 40.

 

Guess what I got?

 

I aced the final though, ended up with a B+ in the class and kicked myself for not getting an A-.

But it is really stupid when the damn tests and finals throw a curveball at you and no matter how hard you think, you have no clue how to even begin to even. But as long as you have opportunities to get your grade up it'll be alright as long as you take them

Stuff like this happens to alot of people, I doubt I passed my Statistics course so that's my problem.  Those are some cool looking cupcakes by the way, makes me think of the Crab People from South Park.  I also like your drawing, I don't know how to draw.

Thank god my counselor loves me. My mom talked to him while I was taking my last 3 exams and he got my physics teacher to raise my semester average 3 points so I would pass. SENIOR STATUS. Whoop whoop

Math always pisses me off. Although I tend to have more trouble with science, which is weird since I want to major in science cause I want to be either a zoologist or marine biologist. But yet I struggle to pass even basic science high school courses

tis ok, i avoided physics like the plague and failed precal.  algebra? ACED precal? DERPED.  i just couldnt keep up  i took AP english too, it rocked! only ten kids in the class are you in ap english 4 with literature-based research?  you can skew all of that stuff, just excerpt what you need to make it fit your essay. it all relates to either life, death or love usually.  sometimes social status and economics but that ones a bit harder i think.  

what our teacher did that came in handy was to assign us a journal.  we read a chapter a night, and either drew or wrote our thoughts about it with a quote or two we thought was neat or important.  it keeps your brain focused on analyzing the piece not just enjoying it.

I'm sorry your day was so awful! My year so far (lol) hasn't been so hot either... I'm having to do math throughout June because I got so far behind (I homeschool).

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you but I'm glad you got your Physics average raised. Credit to you for seeking help by getting counselling too, I was too stubborn to accept help when I needed it but it looks like its benefitted you twofold here. I hope things continue to get better! Yaaaaas. Pre cal was so confusing to me that I dropped it after I had jaw surgery in February since I knew I was going to fail after being home for 3 weeks. I have to retake the whole class next year, hopefully my new teacher is way better than my old one.

 

And no, I'm not taking AP 4 Literature. Since I'm a junior I had to take AP English 3 Composition this year and it was so easy since writing is really no big deal to me, but I really hate reading and poetry and all that jazz so I'm not gonna torture myself with AP Literature.

 

For my English final I literally looked at spark notes for Things Fall Apart 20 minutes before my exam and wrote an essay on a book I've never read and analyzed a character from it and somehow got an 85 on the final. I literally had no idea what I was writing, basically just making up general crap about Okonkwo. It was insane.

I feel ya. I'm 90% sure I'm gonna have to retake biology cuz I don't know what the hell any of the stuff is. The funny thing is though; it's not my fault. My teacher sucks and almost got fired multiple times this year. I haven't learned anything.

I totally understand that feeling. My pre cal teacher in Washington I had for the majority of the school year literally had no idea how to teach. I feel like so many teachers need to be replaced for how incompetent their methods are. Literally 90% of my pre cal class was failing. All he did was throw the textbook at us and made us teach ourselves.

i couldve understood it if theyd taken the time.  we did a lesson a day. if you missed a day or didnt understand it, you were SOL because the next lesson built on that.  it was just too fast for me. id take notes, be like yeah that makes sense, answer questions in class.. but when i got home to do my homework, it just wasnt there anymore and i didnt know what i was doing ><
