All right, since the conferences of the big three have passed, I must ask, who do you think won E3?

Personally, I'd say either Microsoft or Nintendo. Microsoft introduced many new games, and Nintendo put on a nice show. I didn't see Sony's, so I can't say anything about it, but I haven't heard good things about it. I'll go with Nintendo due to personal bias.

So, discuss/debate away!

For me, it's Nintendo! They put on a great show of games and performances, like the funny fight between Iwata and Reggie and the one made from Robot Chicken. I'm looking forward towards Nintendo's games, like the New Zelda, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Yarn, Bayonetta 2, both of the new Smash Bros with the figures, etc! Sony and Microsoft's presentation was bland. They mostly talked about games that you can get on either system, PC included. The other thing they pointlessly talked about was time limited dlc, like either one would get this or that dlc only first for a limited time before the other system gets those dlc.

Nintendo, hands down. Sony and Microsoft were both full of pandering and CGI, Nintendo was full of actual, in-game footage. Oh, and that fight between Iwata and Fils-Aime.

Nintendo had me at the Robot Chicken intro. The battle between Reggie and Iwata was just icing on the cake.

In all seriousness though, I'm pretty excited about the new Zelda and Star Fox developments. There were a couple of games from Sony's presentation that caught my interest, Rainbow Six and Grim Fandango especially. Happy to hear that too since I just picked up a PS4. I bought the Wii U first, and I'm definitely glad to have it now.

Also checked out EA -- Mirror's Edge 2 looks neat but seems pretty far out. The new Battlefield 4 DLC beta is pretty cool too, but I'm not sure if it's worth $60.

All in all, I'd say Nintendo takes this one.

Nintendo won easily, they killed it

Microsoft's though I thought was actually pretty good, kind of want an Xbone now

Sony's was alright, not convinced on the PS4 yet

EA's and Ubisoft's sucked

since rules one and two don't apply here,

/v/ said Nintendo won, and they had like a thousand plus post debate on it.

But they were the ones who were show casing more games than sony or EA. Who seemed content to just run CGI.

Nintendo's without hesitation. The Robot Chicken shorts were hilarious, the games all seemed exciting, and all the speakers seemed.. as if they could be approachable.

Though I loved Sony's play of LittleBigPlanet3. I was laughing so hard when they played it.

Nobody...

Microsoft had it right but not the right games for the most part

EA was boring as hell
Ubisoft was fine but not good

Sony had the games but that big middle snoozefest killed it

Nintendo is in their own world but they did have the best conference over all

Don't take my mouth of words as fact though

Possible rant / oversized, rambling chunks of text incoming:

I didn't actually watch anything from Sony or Microsoft...  Because I didn't care to and have no intention of purchasing either of their current consoles lol.  Therefore, Nintendo won. xD  Nintendo is about games.  That you PLAY; as opposed to watch.  It's about familiar characters and their respective worlds.  It's about fun.  And, apparently, they're the only company cool enough to make fun of itself.  I feel as though hardware specs, hype, and selling "what's cool" is all the others care about anymore (I didn't feel this way about Sony in the past).

Having been a gamer since the NES (beginning at the age of five or six), I don't like some of the gaming and related advertising trends I've seen in recent years.  It's about textures and polygon counts.  It's about how much blood, sexual content, and profanity you can stuff into a title.  It's about games becoming increasingly cinematic, and "gameplay" trailers being nothing but mini-movies that reveal practically nothing about honest-to-goodness gameplay.  It's about a shift towards online multiplayer, headsets with which to scream at campers, and fairly similar iterations of unimaginative first-person shooters.  It's not about fun.  Much less creativity.  I will get 8,000,000 times as much enjoyment out of the Mario Maker dealie than I could squeeze out of every "realistic" FPS ever released / that will ever be released.  But that's just me.  None of this is directed at people that enjoy the other companies or the types of games that I described; I feel as though all of us deserve better.  And the above doesn't necessarily apply to those indie devs out there that seem to actually, you know, like making games that are creative and fly in the face of some currently predominant genres.

I agree, fortunately Nintendo doesn't give in to this. They sort of stick to what they've always been doing with adding new spins on the classic formula. Also it's usually Sony and Microsoft are usually at each other's throats well Nintendo is usually off to the side doing its own thing.

Imma have to say Nintendo. There is an e3 trailer of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire up on youtube with some actual gameplay footage and an actual release date(November 21, 2014). I am so hyped!

Microsoft certainly won me over, they showed plenty of games and didn't talk too much, just what I wanted.

Sony was full of boring hardware... The only thing I was genuinely excited for was the Ratchet & Clank movie and remake since it's one of my favourite franchises.

Didn't bother watching Nintendo as i'm not interested in anything they have to offer except Pokemon.

PC gamer, so I didn't care much for Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony for that matter. Truly, all I wanted was some more news on Tom Clancy's The Division, Assassins Creed, Far Cry 4 etc.

Nintendo killed it. Amazing press video, streaming the shit out of their own games, the Smash tournament, it was all just so amazing. :D

Microsoft's event was okay too I guess, but the tease with Conker in that creation tool game was just cruel. Boo. :okiedokielokie:

Sony also had a really good conference, but some parts were just long and boring. Could've been paced much better.

I dunno, I might just be a massive Nintendo fan, but I really think they had their best E3 ever here. Simply amazing. :)

Too easy. EA. Once again they impress me with their sports games announcements and I found it far more entertaining than anything Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo did. Ubisoft comes at a close second.

I came in to give an opinion, but this lovely person here says it all. Nintendo truly showed their A-game this year. :D

I thought E3 was fantastic across all the Big 3 this year.  EA and Ubisoft...not so much.  But I'm going to have to go with the general consensus and say Nintendo came out on top for the first year in quite a while (if only marginally in my opinion).

For all that was shown, I'm somewhat surprised that I'm most interested in Splatoon (with Ori and the Blind Forest as a runner-up).

All three had good shows. Sony and Nintendo came out on top. With Sony having the slight advantage for being the more well rounded offering. Nintendo had some great stuff but it was mostly stuff I saw coming. It was all good stuff though.

Sony had a lot of old and new, especially indie stuff that really impressed.

Microsofts was solid. Hell. I normally trash them for opening every show with Call of Duty but this years entry actually showed some promise but it's not anything I need an XBox to play, so half my criticism for using it still stands.

EA showed sports and Battlefield, with a tiny sliver of Mass Effect and Dragon Age. They get props for that sliver.

Didn't watch Ubisoft.

Nintendo definitely! their games and indepth gameplay is to die for! The games coming out are appealing to the masses and their overall Expo seemed to knock things out of the park! The fact that they can take devastating blows and STILL come back on top chained me! I love all the excitement they gave us in E3! They gave us reason to be excited! That is a wonderful display on their part!

The Iwata vs. Fils-amie fight, Fils-amech, Robot chicken, invitational, a new STAR FOX!! All of it! The fact that they do their own thing is what makes them special! Everything they did, they did right! So without any hesitation, its safe to say that Nintendo is solid winner of E3! (They can make fun of their own fans and still make us smile!) STAY FANTASMIC!!!

Sony did. They proved many valuable points and many people just didn't care about it plus a ton of in game along with Cinematics and features.

Microsoft could have done better.

Nintendo... They could have at best tried and have actually made things interesting for a more prone gamer. Sure they had a bit of nice things to see but I didn't want to sit 2 hours through it just to see things that would disappoint.

Sony did by a long shot. Then Micro and then everybody else with Nintendo at the bottom.

Once again, ever since the N64, Nintendo has completely failed to show they can make an original video game that is not a rehash of what they did before OR have a powerful 3rd party M Tripple AAA Juggernought support.
