If smell indcates taste in any way, then no thanks.

I'll probably enjoy fancy wine in the future, or maybe not. I won't be finding out anytime soon, I can tell you that!

It's probably fort the better good if you do. Wine also helps your heart health if it's red.

Imagine if you will being on your death bed – And standing around your bed – the ghosts of the ideas, the dreams, the abilities, the talents given to you by life.

And that you for whatever reason, you never acted on those ideas, you never pursued that dream, you never used those talents, we never saw your leadership, you never used your voice, you never wrote that book.

And there they are standing around your bed looking at you with large angry eyes saying "We came to you, and only you could have given us life! But now. We must die with you FOREVER!

The question is – if you die today, what ideas, what dreams, what abilities, what talents, what gifts, would die with you?

Tasted beer and wine once, and I never did so again.

Plus, I don't understand why people find so much enjoyment in getting dizzy and losing their minds. I lose my mind already when I play classical music... well.. .in a healthy way mind you! :P

Well for people like myself, it's more or less about enjoying the buzz. It's more about savoring the flavor of your drink. I drink relatively slow so if I do end up feeling a bit buzzed, it don't get too affected by it. The buzz does feel good if you are controlled in your drinking, but I never reach the level of drunk because of how careful I am with alcohol. Like they said in Family Guy "Don't mess with Mr. Booze." lol

Ahhh. It's just that I never really enjoyed the flavours from the drinks. But that's me.

As for "Don't Mess with Mr. Booze", here's the original song, from the movie "Rat Pack"!

I second Social Drinking, at least with friends and family anyway. It a good way to be sure you drink in moderation. Though sadly even then some people are still out of control.

I know I'm a little young for this topic but I'm sure I can trust you guys, back in a hard time for my life I diddnt have very good friends and they peer pressured me to drink with them at a party we went to

I HATED IT I was only 15 at the time I an 16 now and I still feel bad for it and for breaking the trust of my mom. I was so ashamed when she looked at me and could tell I was drinking and I will never do it again even when I'm of age.

i drink occasionally whenever there is a social event that i am attending, or something

i dont like the taste of beer and i would never drink alone or "for the fun of it"

its more or less me trying to "fit in", i guess, even though i dont enjoy it.

I had alcohol only once and it was at a rennaissance Faire at 1A.M.

It was home brewed Mead (Honey based liqour) fizzy and sweet. kinda like soda pop.

I was in Training Garb ( I was one of the performers) I was talking to the queen, accross from the campfire was a fairy talking to a tree and standing was 2 knights in various armor drinking with a headless dragon.

I never drank again.

I'm too young to drink, but like 90% of my family are drinkers and I've seen every one of them drunk. They won't even admit that they are drunk. So, no, I'm not going to drink once I come of age.

Though I do understand that it can be drunk responsibly, but I don't want to take the chance.

Hi I hate alcohol.

Now and then I drink it like once every 6 months, very rarely I've drank it slightly more frequently.

But when I do drink I keep drinking and don't stop until I hit the floor cover it in vomit get scooped into the bathtub sing away the head pain then get anchored to the couch for the entire next day with a heavy hang over.

NO MORE OKAY

I have a big issue with drinking. I love the feeling of being drunk but it makes everyone mad. I end up saying stupid things and doing stuff not within my character. I am working on slowing down. My girlfriend got really upset over it. Really, I love alcohol. I just love her more.

Well, it's not that I don't like alcohol, it's just that I can't stand alcohol. One little glass of wine is enough to make me feel really sick.

The last time I had alcohol (It was vodka, really bad idea. I drank it as if it was water... ), I was literally holding onto the table so that I would not fall.

I don't get drunk, I get sick.

So, no,  I don't drink, not because I don't want to but because I just can't...

I've had a sip of alcohol once when I was like 6 years old. It was in a disposable cup and I thought it was just soda. Whoever had the bright idea to leave alcohol within a 6 year old's reach is beyond me.

Wow, I'm so glad to find this thread! I'm against alcohol. It's a personal choice because I have seen how alcoholism destroys lives (I'm also a little bit afraid I would end up like that too). I never drink, ever. People I know have given me a hard time before and it makes it hard to go out or be social because the status quo is always "hang out a bar." I don't even want to be in an bar so I have a really hard time with this. I always feel very alone about it. I'm really glad other people are like this too.

I'm drunk right know (liquor+vodka+orange juice). I only drink when I want to because it's fun, around other people, in depression or because of the taste.

I'm fond of beer and vodka (the latter only at parties), though it has to be half decent or I won't touch it. Drink for the taste more than the effects. Budweiser and Miller Lite is absolute piss. I've been in 19 countries so far and drank the local brew in every single one of them. By far Belgium is on top for its insane number of quality craft beers but my go to when I'm not feeling for the local is Heineken (Dutch), the Coca-Cola of beers. You can find it everywhere, but it only tastes just right in Europe. I'll jump on Chang (Thailand) or Asahi/Kirin (Japan) whenever I can find it outside of Asia.

Prefer to drink socially but I'll drink alone as well. Hard to beat a nice cold beer and some atmosphere.  ^_^
