So I found out that Periphery did a cover of "The Heretic Anthem" by Slipknot, which is pretty awesome because I consider myself a Slipknot fan. It sounds a bit too much like the original though, I expected Periphery to make it a bit more unique or something.

I like Husker Du, they aren't emotive core but they're post hardcore. I also have Songs About Fucking by Big Black and Rites of Spring's first album which I haven't listened to yet.

I will never do that. It's redundant as hell, a chore to maintain, and overall sounds silly/stupid/selfish in the grand scheme of things. Besides, only about two/three people will take interest - from the people that do listen to metal, it's mainly either technical and progressive metal or black and -core metal (don't start Djenty), and considering this is a pony forum, the numbers are even smaller. And that's a best case scenario.

 

Besides, I've invested too much time in this thread to give a damn about others.
