Not going to get all whiny, but when you've got to go, you've got to go, you know? Figured you guys out of all of them are the ones I should even bother telling. You guys have treated me well, and been some of the most rad guys I've talked to over the 'net. For that alone, I applaud you. Furthermore, I pretty much owe it all to Crispy for showing me metal beyond just modern prog, so for that... you've given me something I'll enjoy for a lifetime. Thanks man. To the rest of you, keep on rocking and keep it real. Sad to see you go, my friend, but all things come to an end. I actually entertained the thought of conspiracy, given the fact that they tend to kill political figures on stage in pretty brutal ways. But that's purely a hunch with no evidence. It sucks though, they're a great band. On that note, I will share with you one of the most influential songs in my life. Shadows of light, by Novembers doom. Reminds me a lot of The Human Abstract. seriously that is my favorite track off the album (which has been the first album i've bought in quite a long time). It's so jazzy, but also so heavy. Semesky's doing a great job on the vocals, i too am one of the people who are liking this direction. I know other bands also use this sort of vocal style but SS does it better than most imo. Most bands will focus too much on one side or the other, these guys have a much more equal ratio of the two.
