And Halfblood, where've you been? I (we) missed you

Haha, I've been posting here and there bro.  I was using Spike Targaryen as a name for abit, but reverted back to Halfblood.  That and school work.  But I am back, and I am posting once again!

@@Moog@@Champion RD92, Coheed is my favorite band, of all time.  I highly suggest (if you're interested) to listen to their earlier works, especially In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3, which is my favorite album by those guys.  It has some sweet songs like these:

You can generally find all their albums in full length on youtube, just to give them a listen through and see if they're to your liking.  This is the only band that I'm hipster-y about.  By that I mean, I've been listening to them since 2002, went to a dozen concerts, and have bought all their current albums, haha.

And Afterman: Ascension & Descension are probably their best material.  Sooooooo good.

I didn't really understand Targaryen. I was gonna ask about it, but then I forgot. But you're here right now, so maybe you could tell me, if this isn't some super secret confidential classified forbidden piece of info.

Also, this.

Ha, its not super-secret at all.  It's from the "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, or more commonly known as Game of Thrones.  Targaryen is the family name of the house that controls dragons.  Badass mofos.

EXTOL'S BACK, BITCHES.

One of the first bands I really started listening to, and they decided to un-breakup.

Got off my sorry ass and listened to Korplikaani for the first time. Damn good band, I'll tell you.

And they don't take themselves too seriously ;)

Great series, I'll tell you. Have you seen the TV show? Everyone praises it so much but it's pretty lacking compared to the actual books.

And I might as well show off the goods that I bought yesterday

Dammit I really regret not buying CDs, that would be so awesome to have a CD collection :/

But iTunes gives you the album artwork on your iPod, so that's why I like buying from iTunes.

EDIT: OMG I'M SUCH A FUCKING RETARD, I JUST FOUND OUT YOU CAN GET THE ALBUM ARTWORK EVEN IF YOU IMPORT THE MUSIC FROM A CD, WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! I COULD HAVE BOUGHT ALL MY MUSIC ON CD'S!!! I WASTED SO MUCH MONEY, OMG I'M SO PISSED AT MYSELF RIGHT NOW!!!

Well...the only thing that my CDs are useful for is just to have them as a collection. I don't let any of my CDs ever leave the shelf that they stay on at all, unless I'm bringing them into a car or I'm importing them onto iTunes so that I can get that album on my iPod. So yeah I like to blow off 130$ on 9 disks that are just treated as a collector's item.

I might as well leave a few things here because I've got nothing else better to do

In Flames

Also, why not some Dir En Grey

Dude you got some NICE GOODS.

Could you tell me what the top-middle album is? A regular on another forum I used to go on had that as an avatar. Pretty cool to see that art here.

Also, yet another Mercenary plug. It's the last album to feature the bassist/backing vocalist Kral. I like him more than Rene, because most of his cleans aren't semi-harsh or anything, they're just booming. Awesome duo right there.

Huh, this sounds a lot like some Nevermore stuff, now that I think about it. I have to listen to that band again.

Top middle would be Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine. A great album, though after listening to it I'd put both the Downward Spiral and The Fragile ahead of it in my full NIN discography ranking. And yep I think I got a good score with those albums.

Well now I kind of want to buy CD's now, but then I will want to go buy albums on CD that I already bought, and I can't exactly afford to do that...ehhhh i don't know what to do :/

Well anyway, I think I will buy one of those Coheed and Cambria albums I listened to, those were pretty good.

Dude just buy the albums anyways. I've bought albums that I've already done a digital download for. Though I only did that for one album and that was because there was nothing else better for me to spend my money on. And also so that I could say that I bought all of the ISIS albums in the store, and speaking of ISIS...

This one is still my all time favorite song by them

I feel like I haven't posted something on here since forever... Anyways, I've begun my trek through Between the Buried and Me's discography. So far I've listened to their self-titled and Colors. I really liked them both, this is my favorite BTBAM song as of now.

Dude, that's probably my favourite song from the album, second favourite overall. I'd say that my first belongs to All Bodies.

240p but whatever.

Anyway, I've only viewed Alaska and Colors. I should probably check out their newer stuff. I've held it off for pretty long anyway.

My two favorite Between the Buried and Me songs that I know are "Prequel to the Sequel" and "Selkies: The Endless Obsession".

Seriously, I listen to "Prequel to the Sequel" like every day, it's so damn good!!!

Between the Buried and Me? I can't even begin to pick a favorite song. Most of them are all fantastic in their own way. I kind of want them to do something a bit similar to their debut, though.

Maaaaaan, I miss Periphery's 2005-era sound before they had the capability to mega-layer their music and do everything electronically.

Maaaaaan.

I haven't really listened to them. I'm not really a fan of death metal, but I know Moog said that they sound different than other death metal bands so maybe I will try to listen to them sometime.

Opeth sound different in the fact of how they don't growl throughout all of their songs and plus, what other Death Metal band use acoustic guitars? Blackwater Park is the album that most Opeth fans would say is a good start, and it has my favorite song by them on it.

Okay, I will try to get around to listening to that album, although I'm not sure when that will be.

On another note, I think I might go buy a Coheed and Cambria album today.

Okay so I spent over three hours trying to find that stupid Coheed and Cambria album and I finally found it, I had to go to three different stores -__-

I checked two electronic stores, and they both had an absolutely terrible selection of CD's, they were missing everything I wanted, so then I tried another store that mainly sells music, and they had a bit better of a selection, and so I found the album finally, ugh...

So anyway, here's what I ended up buying:

The Afterman: Ascension by Coheed and Cambria

2112 by Rush

Sounds of a Playground Fading by In Flames

For some reason, the albums cost more than they do on iTunes, what's up with that?
