"Shhh...shhh...it's okay." Addie said as she gently picked up Shooting. She gathered some of her magic and let a healing energy run though Shooting. One by one, the bleeding bruises faded away and soon, Shooting was fully healed. "We can go home." Addie stated as she cradled Shooting in her arms.

Shooting watched as her hoof was all healed. She sucked on it, quieting her crying down. Once she was calm she took the hoof out and hugged Addie. It became one of her new comforters, Addie and her hoof. She felt like there was a bigger mess than there actually was on her face.

Addie continued to cradle Shooting in her arms before getting up and heading towards home. Addie walked slowly towards her house. It was near dinnertime, and Addie had a small cramp in her stomach. "Are you ready for dinner?" Addie asked Shooting as she continued to walk.

Shooting kept hugging Addie. She now knew that Addie actually loved her. "I'm hungry so dinner sounds great right now mommy." Shooting responded. Her stomach grumbled, not as loud as earlier but still loud. Shooting got off Addie and held her hoof instead.

Addie continued to walk slowly back to the house. "Would you like to have dinner out or have dinner in the house?" Addie asked as she continued to walk slowly towards her house. She held Shooting's hoof. "What would you like for dinner honey?" Addie asked.

"Dinner in the house." Shooting choose. She kept holding Addie's hoof, so she wouldn't get lost. "I don't know. You can pick mommy." Shooting said. "Mommy, why did you decide to pick me up earlier when I ran into the bench and was crying?" Shooting asked. The question entered her earlier but it was distracted by other things.

"Well...you were chased by those bullies and I didn't want you to go without someone to look after you. Nopony wants a little foal like you wandering around..." Addie stated as she continued to walk towards her house. Addie soon got to her door and opened it. She went to the kitchen.

"So you decided to take me in. Thanks mommy." Shooting said. She hugged Addie's leg and then continued walking. When they went inside Shooting lied on the carpet and decided to take a nap. As she was sleeping she was sucking on her hoof again, shivering a bit.

Addie used her magic and made a blanket appear over Shooting. "Mommy's gonna fix some dinner. I'll let you know when it's ready." Addie stated as she went to the kitchen and started to cook some dinner. She was cooking some noodles and veggies to keep it easy for the night.

Shooting fell asleep quite quickly when the blanket was on her. "Thanks mamma." Shooting said right before she was fully asleep. She was making a noise from her sucking her hoof as she slept. The dream was a happy one. She was smiling and sometimes giggling in her sleep.

Addie smiled when she heard Shooting giggling in her sleep as she continued to cook. She finished up the noodles and then the veggies. She then poured the juices and dinner was ready. It took twenty minutes for dinner to be fixed. She then went and gave Shooting a gentle pat. "Dinner's ready." She said softly.

Shooting smiled when she smelt the food. When she was woken up she got up slowly, stretching. She went over to a chair and sat down. Once again, she wasn't using magic when she was eating, which could be surprising to most others. Shooting took a bite and decided she liked it alright. "Thanks mommy." Shooting thanked as she was eating.

"You're welcome!" Addie said as she started to eat her food. Addie noticed Shooting wasn't using her magic. "Honey...you should really practice using your magic..." Addie suggested as she gathered some of her energy and made her fork levitate. She then continued to eat using her magic.

"No pony has taught me how to use my magic quite yet." Shooting said, still eating her dinner. Shooting could tell the difference between this food and the food at the place they went to earlier. She was liking this better so far, it wasn't making her stomach hurt.

"Well...it's easy. Try focusing and lighting your horn." Addie stated as she gathered some magic and made her hoof light up. It was surrounded by a reddish brown aura. She then made it fade as she continued to levitate her fork and eat her food with it. "Try it!" Addie said.

Shooting tried doing it on a fork and focused too hard, making it hit the ceiling. She looked up at the fork and it dropped, she lost her focus. She tried again, the fork almost hit the ceiling. Shooting brought it down a bit slowly, it was fast still but better than her first try.

"I think you're trying just a little too hard. The harder you focus...the more magic you'll build." Addie stated as she gathered some magic and made a spoon levitate. "See? You really don't have to try so hard, unless you're levitating something big...like a tree." Addie stated.

Shooting tried again. It went a few inches up but she didn't want to move it. She was watching the fork levitating itself technically. The aura surrounding the fork was a lighter blue than her coat's color. She tried to move it to eat but it dropped. She decided to eat using her hooves again.

"Don't worry Shooting. You'll get it. It just takes practice. Mommy struggled really hard to get her magic to work. But after a lot of practice and hard work...she got it!" Addie said with a giggle as she continued to use her magic and levitate the fork. She continued to eat.

"Mommy, how come other earth ponies can't do magic but you can?" Shooting asked as she ate. She was nearly finished with her food. She finished one of the last few bites and waited for Addie to finish so Shooting could find out what to do next. And what to ask next.

"Well...it's because they don't know they can. Everypony is capable of doing magic...they just never do it in their life time because they spend their time moaning and groaning that they don't have a horn...when they don't really need one." Addie stated as she finished up. Her belly was a little rounder than usual.

"Is that why the pegasi can walk on clouds and do the weather?" Shooting asked. She hopped off the chair and went over to Addie, crawling onto her lap. She was facing inwards so she was warm and was comfortable. Shooting was getting tired again, she was trying her best to stay awake so she could be by Addie more.

Addie got off her chair and went to the living room. She laid on her back so that Shooting was on her belly again. "Yep. Pegasai use their magic to control clouds." Addie stated. She then gathered some magic and made her pegasus wings appear on her sides. She then wrapped them around Shooting.

Shooting was hugging Addie as she was on her belly. She giggled a bit at the feeling of the wings wrapped around her. She was surrounded by warmth. She started to fall asleep from the feeling. Shooting tried to fight against falling asleep but she was really tired from playing, getting hurt, and the food digesting. She fell asleep on Addie, drooling a little as she slept.

Addie's belly started to make the noises loudly again as the food digested. "Oh!" Addie said with a silly giggle. "There they go again!" She added as she continued to giggle and cuddle Shooting in her nice and warm pegasus wings. She started to stroke Shooting's mane lovingly.
