A caring Mother (Chrysalis Painting)

i finished a new painting

its another snow-themed one, i am kind of a sucker for those.

anyways, i hope you like it^^

 

i would love to get some critique and feedback from you guys

I never realized how cool Changelings are I just realized there power and this picture I love snow themed pictures it looks great also I wonder if the Changelings will make an appearance in season 5

Awwwww. BABY CHANGELINGS ARE LIKE THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER OMG!

 

No but seriously you did make baby changelings look freaking adorable. It's kind of odd they haven't had holes grow in their legs or whatever(they do have holes in their legs normally don't they?) but I guess that's all a development thing, I still think it looks adorable. <3.

 

Especially that one chewing on Chrysalis's tail .

 

As for Chrysalis, she definately looks less sinister, and definitely gives the more motherly vibe.

 

Are Chrysalis's wings that small though? I feel like they were bigger for some reason, but I could be wrong, they just seem kinda small, heck she kinda seems a bit small in general.

 

Something about the hills in the foreground to the right makes them seem less textured than the other hills, idk, i'm not sure how to describe it, something about it, maybe just the smoother snow.

 

That's really just nitpicking though.

 

Overall I really like it, very well done and looks absolutely adorable!

And I'm not really an artist or anything, so take my critique with a grain of salt.

Chrysalis's legs, particularly the back one that is clearly visible look really thick. Other than that it's fantastic. I love the changeling pulling on her tail. XD

i do agree that her legs are too thick

its really hard for me to imagine the anatomy of the ponies in a sitting position,especially for a creature like chrysalis,which has longer and thinner legs than the average equines in the show

regardless,thank you for noticing me.hopefully i wont make the same mistake again in the future

My goshness this is beautiful! Even though I tend to agree with the others on Chrysalis' wing size, but it definitely does not take away from how amazing this drawing is. Gorgeous, great job

aawwwwhhhh, that is adorable I don't think there is anything wrong with Chrystalis's wing size, but that they don't really look like the bug wings chrystalis has, just like this weird boring pair of wings, nothing interesting and no detail happening on them.

I see the problem now.

insect wings are not 100% opaque,while they are in my drawing, sadly.

thats what makes it kinda boring, i think.

 

i cant really fix that anymore since i blended background and characters together into one layer, but i will remember it if im ever gonna draw chrysalis again(which is very likely, cuz she is awesome)
