I could say the same. You're only posting it as a link, not as a mention. If you change it to [ member = ' Denim&Venom ' ] without the spaces, that should work. As for mine, I don't know why you're not receiving notifications. I have mine written the same way as everyone else, and I get notifications when their posts mention me in the same format I'm using. If you could check your "ignore preferences" or your notification settings, maybe you accidentally set it to ignore me. Nice post with Queen Allure, though just in case that the Changeling she felt out were meant to be Brittle, she is in a cave in the forest near a river, currently sleeping. I am not ruling out she started tracking when she were in town though, nor that it could be residual energy, just wanting to be sure since it sorta looked like the sort of thing to be certain about

@Seamore Sandwich Looks like it's working now for some reason. 

 

I believe Luna may remember Priestess from the time she and Celestia got punked by the Kitsune while on a diplomatic mission to Neighpon 1000 yrs prior. Among the slew of pranks & tricks among them was Priestess transforming into the moon itself and acting unaccordingly. You can imagine how much that drove Luna nuts. When Priestess unveiled herself, she got called out by an irate Luna and challenged to a duel for her honor. And after getting talked down, the "to the death" stipulation was dropped, and it was instead changed to a hand to hand (or in this case, hoof to paw) physical contest. Shockingly, Luna was bested in that exchange, Priestess proving the smarter tactician and better skilled martial artist. Keeping this under wraps was what helped Neighpon remain a nation state, while still joining Equestria. All the economic benefits. None of the royal pains. 

 

Question, is the dream realm still part of the Everfree forest or retain some of it's magic? Cause I have it planned that Queen Allure's disguises are to be strained by the Everfree's magic. 

 

@Blitz Boom Is that river cave anywhere near Castle Everfree, or the portal to the dream realm?

In the past, one time Missklang was asleep, Luna visited him. As she came through the dream door, she was confused with the crazy dreamland Missklang was dreaming about, so he used the opportunity to sneak out through the door into the hallway. He then found  the door to Celestia's dream and scared her by transforming into a Discord-like creature. He also saw what she was dreaming about. He then found a way to enter Luna's dream and forced himself to wake up. So, it resulted in him in waking up in Luna's body, and her, obviously in Missklang's. He profited it the whole day, learning Alicorn stuff from the super secret royal library (That's how he knows ancient alicorn dialect) and even laid his hoof on Luna's and Celestia's diary. In the evening, Luna in his body made it up to the castle, where she swapped the bodies back. Boy, she was mad at Missklang. But after seeing that Missklang didn't do any harm, she with Celestia let him go without much punishment. They had him promise not to tell anyone of anything concerning their personal secrets. But I think Celestia didn't appreciate that Missklang spent all of his bits later that day to order a thousand cakes to her bedroom. But Luna laughed a lot. They don't hate him or stuff, but Celestia is a bit annoyed by him. Seeing him as a bit less destructive, harmless and less powerful mini-version of Discord. Luna, she is cautious about him and tend to survey him if in sight. She is always trying to confiscate any potential destructive artifacts from him despite him strongly resisting it, justifying it by "I want to have some fun!".

 

She will be more like: "No! Not you again! What trouble did you bring this time?  What are you doing in my dreams! Are you trying to take over my body again?"

Missklang still order a huge number of cakes to Celestia every time he goes to Canterlot...

Briar doesn't know her, but Last and Vivid does in each their capacity.

 

Vivid is small scale. She have seen her dream before, though it is mostly just been a few check ups and general watching in the years where she was trapped in crystal. She haven't seen her since Vivid got loose of there about 2 months prior to this (I make this based on what happened in the dream world, and then a guess that if she rested in Equestria, it would be a dream with a root door there.

 

Last Stand is part of a family, that is part of several families gathered in a clan of sorts that have been guarding a remote shrine since Luna got imprisoned to the moon. I have not specified what was inside the shrine, and none that guarded it ever knew during the thousand years the generations watched. It was basically a harsh area with constant fighting from beings wanting to break in and take what was there, and when Luna was released from Nightmare Moon's influence, she went there to take what was inside (still nopony saw what) and dismiss the ponies there of their duty.

 

They, and in essence then Last, is fiercely loyal to Luna, and though some have gone to try for jobs at the castle since the dismissal, most have gone to try and find other purposes. Last is one of the second group, though her sister have gone towards the castle. in any case, they were once assembled to guard something unknown, and I am not sure if this is a group loyal to Luna that tasked themselves with guarding it when she was sent to the moon or if Celestia began this, but I will let that be up to you., it means little to the grand scheme of things how it started.

 

For the record, Last did stand amongst the others near the front when Luna told them that their duty was done, though i can't say if Luna took much notice of her personally, or just the crowd. Also, not sure if she have visited Last in dreams since then. I let that be up to her controller. AKA, you.

I never specified, but we can say it is, no problem. I just said it was some time away from where they started, and they are not there anymore, so sure, we can run with this. ^^ She would currently be sleeping in the cave with Briar sleeping outside of it on a rock nearly covering the entrance. It's his way of guarding her and giving her some privacy. Though something tells me he won't wake up easy considering his consciousness is currently deep in the dream realm. He will have instinctual reactions though, so I would advice not to touch him.

In my headcanon, the Everwood trees are the main source of magic in the Everfree. Since they brought three huge logs with them, it should definitely be a problem for her, that is if you accept Everwood as the source of the specific magic that disrupts her disguises. This could also give another use for Everwood. By my logic, I believe touching a piece of Everwood could possibly force her out of a disguise entirely. It's all up to you though, you can still claim the disruptive magic comes from something else.

On a side note, did you forget about the idea that the Anansi put the Diamond Spider there to guard something? I think it could make for an interesting story. If you want to add that to the story, Priestess can find a mark on the spider later that indicates this. Just let me know.

I never actually said it was Luna's dream. It may appear that way, but it's actually a separate place created by Luna as a path between portals. She would have to be asleep to be able to pass through her own portal if it were her dream. Will post shortly.

I'm good with the Anansi being involved. Could add a unique twist to the story, as the Spider was never meant to be in the Everfree, and the party can solve why it was there to begin with. Btu that can wait till we actually get to the castle. 

 

I'm also cool with it not being the dream world. Supports my idea that's it's actually the Umbra that Priestess keeps referencing, the opposite of the shadowlands, in that everything is uber-alive and supercharged by the forces of nature & ethereal chaos that made the universe.

It's still part of the dream world, but it's not Luna's dream. If you think she based some of this world on the Umbra, then you can go with that. This world is based loosely on what we saw in Luna's dream in "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep."

It could be both. Maybe our dreams are really a reconnecting with the realm of ethereal reality. I guess it just depends on how each character came into contact with it first.

ok for in terms of cresent and Luna they have met but not often. mostly as when cresent was growing up he'd have dreams of his brother, (post death) she'd help him deal with that whole mess telling him not to take revenge on the killer. the said instance still dosent happen much.

 

Then there was a time when she showed up during cresents failing of the night guard tryouts, he became pretty depressed on which Luna again told him "things will get better, cresent something tells me your destiny lies else where" 

 

that's about as much as they've run into each other. I don't tend to have cresent interact with the mane six or the like of them in rps but this is a cool idea we have going on lets see what happens

I must've forgotten to mention it, but Vivid, Omen and Stargazer doesn't have pages because i essentially just made them as NPC's. I've had to use them here and there to make things go on now and again, and Last Stand used to be one as well to begin with, but the rest I have considered elevating from NPC status and to OC I haven't made a bios for yet.

 

If you want a rough outline until the time comes when I can get a real set of Bios' out for at least Vivid and Omen (we'll see about Stargazer eventually), PM me and I can feed you some extra intel not RP'ed out yet. If it's specific things you want to know, include that too.

 

When I have made a Bios, they always go into my signature. So look there as time goes by. ^^
