Hey Blitz, sorry for the lateness of the post, but posted first thing when I got back into town (Celebrating Easter with family, should have made a status, my bad).

 

Anyway, I hope that the lengthy post is mildly horrifying, showcasing how easily a hive-mind can over-ride personal self-interest and self-identity.  Got the job done, but Bashful's weakness goes into full force here, that fear and want to over come it will set him into a sudo-drone state, in which case that 'Shy Tailor' is gone, and what is left... well, it isnt pretty.

Good post ya did. ^^ Had an hour and made you a reply, though unfortunately I don't have more time to get the rest done until tonight. :/ But in any case, have fun with this, and a minor thing to remember: Likely others like Florence have their wings tied up to prevent them from sneaking out and flying off, so take that into account for the little longer the cultist are a problem.

Sorry to hear that D. Must be pretty bad if ya gotta get out of the RP. Just want ya to know that you are gonna be missed, and I hope when things settle for a bit you will consider returning. Best of luck to you in the future, and keep fighting

I agree with the others. Your health comes before anything else buddy. Just know that when you feel better, this RP will still be here and welcoming you with open hooves.

 

I wish you the best, and hope that eventually you will be able to get past that horrid state you're in. I can't imagine how it must be for you, but I can imagine the word *suck* would need whole new definitions to truly grasp it. :/

I don't have him fully fleshed out, really. I wanted to do a more open-ended character, like an inventor or an explorer, someone who isn't where they're going to be for the rest of their life if you know what I mean.

Fleshing it all out right away is more or less impossible in my mind. Writing with the character can end changing some things that seems minor, but can flesh it out in other ways. It's one of the reasons why I don't require massively long Bios' from the lovely people writing here.

 

To return to your character, why not begin with the simple premise of somepony who tries his hand/hoof/talon/whatever at inventing things, but needs to explore and find relics to sell so he can finance his work? A little of both worlds. :3 And not something he needs to be exceptional at, especially if you want him to have another long term path. THen again, might just not appeal even if he haves a lot of talent for it. Plenty of options. :3

 

But I ramble. Do you have some visuals? Perhaps a race?

It would be a pony. I find that I tend to make "center stage" characters, characters that would be main characters in a story. I'd like to play a more "normal" character, one who isn't super special or anything, a character that could go by unnoticed if you understand what I'm saying.

Yep. Pretty easy one to handle then, as you just need to make sure that he is either one of a million in whatever field he's in, or a failed one. You can also go with the *jack of all trades* route, which is where he haves some talents here and there, but have not found one he masters fully.

I was thinking of doing a jack of all trades, and I think I will do one with adventurous tendencies. Should I make a full character sheet or shall I make a quick bio post?

Your pick. But if you are still fleshing things out, I'd go with a quick bio to begin with, then see if your idea changes as times go by.

 

Also, I have an OC I can meet him with, though there is a small catch: He isn't anywhere near Ponyville. Though I figured that if your OC have adventure tendencies, I can have him meet you somewhere out there.

 

If you Do want in Ponyville though, I have an OC which I haven't written the bios for yet, but have the picture to show and a basic idea of her story I could use. But she's still very much a raw sketch, and frankly I'd want to have a Happy time.

And you don't need him out exploring per se. Just not... At Ponyville for now. He could be for a walk or something.

 

But then again, I can also just use Jelly Drop with you, and then save Happy Hour for another pairing if it is. I just wanted to get to use him. But, it's your place to decide where to start, and then I'll see what I can make fit from there if it is.

Name- Alexander Tinker

 

Age- Mid to late 20s

 

Bio- Alexander was one of many talents from the start, adventurous, smart, and curious. Unfortunately, he could never seem to finish anything, leaving his room littered with half-finished projects, his floor and walls covered with schematics for inventions and maps of places he'd been. Alas, in his many dealings and interests, socializing wasn't one of them, and it always came as a struggle to Alexander, though he's become accustomed to his relative loneliness, hardly noticing it anymore. Perhaps one day he'll finally finish making something.

He's another character, but he is a big part of the overarching story I've been building here. I'm not sure what direction I will take with him yet.
