Telepathy was a word a few others had slung at her before, so she knew the meaning of it, yet from what they had told her, she should be able to do something more if that was it. Like reading thoughts, or only chose a few to hear her words, and not everypony within regular speaking distance. But what did she know? She just knew what mother had told them about it.

"Not magic. Words without mouths, for us who have no form."

Though she couldn't open a gate this near to the castle for some reason, Omen still tried, which only led to a short fizzle in the air next to her, but nothing beyond that. It wasn't the best, as she had an easier time just showing rather than trying to explain, but the princess seemed like she would have even more questions from seeing that anyway, so would it really answer more than it would make her ask? Something told her no, but she didn't know this one enough to be sure.

"And master chose how I look. Said he liked it like this."

It was at that point that Senlin talked and got through why it was that they were there whilst she had veered away from it for a little. Discord, her master and in some ways creator, gone for over a millennia and rumoured to be near this town, some of the ponies and working with this youngest of the princesses she had met.

A being that was not only the focus of hers for a long time, but also somepony who might be able to do more than being her master and help Senlin. The Longma had said that he helped others now, so could he then not help him too if he were here? But then again, it had sounded like he was not fond of her master a few times before... Perhaps time would tell how things would go there.

"Yes. Have you seen him?"

Blitz would likely have said something to Damon about how things would be okay, and that they would find Barrel soon for sure, but it hadn't taken much time after she looked up at the stars and heard the others before she dozed off. It wasn't like many other times, when she had been awake for so long that her mind shut down and it would take a day or so before she got both conscious and well rested enough, so it should not be a problem to get her woken up eventually after they had taken a little snoozer, provided it was not within the next hour or so.

It wouldn't be much sleep if it was only that, but it was more than she sometimes got through when she was caught in a project that lead to another project etc. etc. until several days had passed by, and much as she tried to keep it at bay she could use a bit more energy. Especially since they were going hunting for Barrel.

"I will just finish up this last tree over here. I think you got most of it already." Syo said as she leap over the trunks and to the branches so that she can find the seeds and wiggle them loose.

"It is times like these that I am glad I have paws." Syo said as she twisted one seed out with ease.

As Syo worked for a little bit, she looked up and saw a flying piece of paper returning to her. She gave it a strange sort of glare and her eyes glowed slightly as the paper teleported to her paws and she read the contents. Syo read it twice and then she folded the letter back into her small bag.

"My friend said he would meet us in the forest later. He is not sure which part though." Syo said as she carried the seeds over to the sack and dumped them into it. Syo then looked up at Seamore. "Can you tell me a little more about the area we are going to? Any landmarks or details that can help him?"

@@~Sole~,

"Ugh.. the 'so-called' genius can't seem to come up with decent names..." Dyr spat as she scanned the beast that was ruffling its feathers in a threatening way. Its wire frame twisted and formed most of its body with a huge jewel in the centre. Its feathers are sharp gemstones of all colours and it has red rubies for eyes.

"Hm... I don't really know if it is... well, one way to find out." Dyr said as she ran forward, dragging the massive scythe behind him. The beast reared its head and spread its wings and it started to conjure up a strong gale by flapping its wings. The wind was strong enough to blow Dyr away and as she was flying in the air, Dyr noticed something and defensively spun her scythe. Her instinct saved her from getting a shave job from sharp diamonds that were conjured in that wind. When Dyr landed on her feet, her scythe fell apart due to the stress of taking the attack.

"For a big chicken... it is not half bad." Dyr said as she picked up the broken shaft and the scythe came back together and was as good as new. "Let's see it take this."

Dyr held out her right paw and a green ball appeared. She then stomp down her hind paw and a strong beam came from the green ball and it pierced a good chunk of its wing. Dyr just observed its next move. The bird did not move, as if it did not feel anything, the hole from Dyr's attack started to close up and soon, it was as if nothing happened.

"Of course... everything is set against my type." Dyr said then she turned around to Sole. "I think you may have to get creative. Since he made that with me in mind, I think your magic, that is my opposite in principle, will work on it. And like I said, get creative."

The room seems to allow for physical confrontation as it was small and the bird is big. It does not have much ceiling room to fly either so no worries of it running away. Seems like a critical flaw and a good opportunity.

She had heard others say that Fluttershy was visited by Discord sometimes, but this was the first time she had heard that she wrote with him.

She couldn't read or write herself, and even if she could she had no place for it to go, but perhaps she could ask Fluttershy if she would instead, and tell master that somepony were looking for him? Something to think about for a little, though she would have the time for that soon enough. Character bio

It wasn't exactly the most graceful landing he ever had. But then again, grace was never his strong point.

Quinch hit the ground head-first, something that would have snapped his neck in an instant if it weren't for what he was wearing. Instead, the collar went rigid, followed a fraction of an instant by the rest of the suit, and his entire body smashed its weight onto his shoulders as he bounced, literally, like a doll across the dirt

He got to his feet almost immediately, ignoring the protests of his much-abused body. The protests of his brain, on the other hand, got his attention quickly.

He was outside.

That was a problem.

Moments ago he was underground, surrounded by Oranbegan sorcerers. He was towing a load of reprobates on a lead from Azuria about the Seventh Circlet of Hel {in the hands of the Circle of Thorns, but of course}; he couldn't recruit any support, but having half a dozen fire-slinging, gun-toting, wind-bagging idiots and their associated superpowers usually did the job when he could keep their collective attention spans away from anything shiny. This, he thought, is what I did wrong.

He'd stepped into the cavernous hall, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing, still the best way of getting most villains' attention, and prepared himself for the inevitable barrage of fire that usually distracted the wizards from the deranged kindergarten behind him. But this time, it never came.

There was a... blip. Let's call it a blip, the sensations behind magic usually needed adjectives that he never bothered to learn, and then there was this. And also grass. Green, vividly so, none of that junk you'd see around Paragon City that he suspected was probably half-plastic somehow. Teleportation, probably, by his guess he was miles, at the very least, from Paragon. At worst, well, he could hopefully at least speak the language, provided it was English.

The mission was a wash, then. Probably was from the start, at this rate he figured Azuria sent him into a trap. Again. He briefly considered giving her a piece of his mind when he got back to city hall, but she'd probably lose that too.

He refocused on his surroundings. He heard songbirds through the speakers in his helmet. Definitely out of Paragon city limits, and the lack of rock anthills and ambulatory crystal formations charging him meant he wasn't in Hamidon territory either. There was a treeline about half a click ahead, and smoke - zoom in - definitely smoke past that.

His eyes followed invisible lines ahead of him, tracing a pattern of what was basically an eyeball unlock pattern. The HUD on the inside of his visor sprang to life - lifesigns, radar, the usuals. "Adolf," he said, "Run environmental analysis. Activate perimeter alerts."

He started walking toward the trees. Smoke meant people, usually. People meant food, shelter and answers to questions like "where am I?", "is there a bar in town?" and "How much for a ticket to Rhode Island?"

"And play me some music, please."

@@Quinch,

It wouldn't take many seconds after the well-clad Human had started to walk before large puffs of deep-purple smoke would gather a few meters ahead of him, before seemingly imploding into a sphere of sorts.

"Now, what do we have here?"

When the smoke had gathered and settled around 4 seconds after first showing, a pony stepped out of it and looked up at the Human with a curious look in her red eyes whilst around her the smoke dissipated quickly without a trace.

Vivid Loss had wandered around the castle for a bit to find a place to stash the cube before ultimately deciding that there were nowhere there that were a safe enough spot as far as she were concerned. Not when she couldn't cover it with her more demonical magic like she had the other things.

With that in mind, she had instead decided to make a detour and wandered through to the world that clung closely to this and began to wander long enough to reach a place she had found there before that was desolate of even the usual dark denizens that tried to lure her off her path. There she had put this gathered cube of Harmony and set the wards that she could around it, finally letting off some of the excess energy that had been pulsating through her before and warped her form.

When the deed had been done, she had headed back towards the castle and thinking on when to gather the others and prepare things before returning for this potential final piece. That is, until she felt something tear at the fabric between the worlds.

With the worlds and dimensions laying so close to eachother in general, you could something feel how a ripple came through when a being passed through one and into another, depending on their skill at it. The more layers the being then passed through, the more noticeable were the ripple if the caster were not well enough trained in the process. Yet there were a strong difference between that and a slight tear that, though it would not literally tear through the worlds and break them down, were akin to feeling a small wave brush against your side.

Wondering who it were that had done such a thing she had peered through the thin fabric and seen the creature's last part of very slowly fall towards the ground and then begin to rise up. It was far faster in his own time, that was assured, but in this world time worked differently and a few minutes for him would be an hour for her when she was here.

It had not given her many answers to see the chunk of metal fall though, only more questions, so after pondering things for a good deal of her own time, she decided to hold off tracking down everypony else for a bit and began to pass through to the Equine world once more, shown by the gathering of purple smoke for the being that hadn't so much been walking through worlds or great distances as being hurled through them. At least when you considered it's entrance.

When it were that she had gotten through it had surprised her to find that she had been faced with a Human. And a well geared one at that. Not because she had never seen one of their kind before, but rather because this was Equestria and his kin hadn't threaded there since... Well, Never, as far as she knew. They had their own worlds and dimensions away from the peaceful Equine empire, and seeing one here were honestly both fascinating and slightly alarming.

"And what does it make here, so far from its home?"

"An apology goes a long way in most cases."

Behind the Royal Guard currently getting the mud cleaned from her armour both by herself and one of the ponies that had given an apology just now, Stargazer suddenly loomed and looked between the three others there. He wasn't very loud when he moved, which led to a sort of bad habit where it seemed like he had sneaked up on somepony, when in actuality he had just neglected to say anything because he was observing the situation.

Even when he were flying as he had been for the short road there a little over passing ponies heads, it were unlikely that the other guard at least had taken notice of him before his vaguely gruff voice was heard behind her, spoken as soon as he landed. Not impossible, but unlikely when you considered that she were also currently in the process of getting mud off her armour.

The chances of mud and such were one of the reasons why he didn't wear his but simply the helmet and the belt of medals he had around his waist. Those things weren't something he cared as much about getting dirty, and had he not grown out of the standard issued shoes he got some years past at the Night Guard, it would be the same with them. Besides, he were the only Night Guard in town as far as he had been told, so unless he would have official duties at the castle he saw little reason to drape himself in it as there were none there that technically outranked him outside of Princess Twilight's own guard hierarchy when he was on her turf.

"I hope that all here are okay?"

Keeping his eyes on the three of them he raised the cup the large batpony rose his cup and took a few deep swigs of coffee whilst waiting to see how things would go from here. Usually he introduced himself earlier in things when there wasn't a crime to handle, but he were still somewhat tired even after the caffeine had started to get a little through his system, so it had not reached him yet to go through that. Not even when in the presence of another guard.

He felt the familiar tingle of electricity on his skin without noticing it, byproducts of poor isolation. He thought nothing about all this, a sequence of reflexes borne from a decade of danger and paranoia. Consciously, the only thought he afforded himself was being glad he kept his helmet on as the interloper appeared in front of him.

He was expecting... well, a lot of things. Smoke usually meant magic, so sorcerers or demons ranked high on the list. This, however, was... new.

Quadruped, he thought, checking for weaknesses. He tensed under the bulky suit. My height, so body mass advantage. Clothes, sapient. Horn, possible weapon. Tatoos, spirit magic? Tsoo? No, ridiculous.

"Now, what do we have here?"

Speech. Definitely sapient. Confidence. Over-confidence? A row of lights turned green on his hud, others still red or amber. Stall.

"And what does it make here, so far from its home?"

This was less expected. Does it know me? No, "it". General recognition. Distance? Where the hell did I land? I swear, if I have to swim off an island.... That. Or mind games.

Voice modulator on. Template, downsample, drop pitch. The music kept playing.

Breathe in, steady voice.

"Identify yourself."

"Thank you, Princess. It might not exactly be the thing that I need to find my sister but I can rest a little easier."

Senlin thought about finding a place to stay in Ponyville for the meantime but he realized he came without any bits. The inns wouldn't accommodate him. It would unlikely bother him considering he already lived along the borders of towns where he could stay out of sight and rest under the night sky. He was ready to go but he looked towards Omen and considered staying for a while longer to accompany his friend to Fluttershy's.

@@Quinch,

"I am Vivid Loss."

The voice or the tone the Human's order was said in didn't faze Vivid. She had been faced with horrors that somepony like this could not even begin to comprehend, and served under masters that would make mortals scream with even a glare. Yet somepony like this? Though he seemed well armoured and he might possess quite the power in his interesting ensemble, she could not find any fear or intimidation affecting her, though it wasn't certain that that was his want either as much as him simply being cautious and protective, whilst she simply looked too much on previous experiences of why beings faced her with weaponry.

She would see what was what soon enough. For now, she had entertained his question and given her name to him. What would follow from here they would see. It would depend a lot on what way the Human would react to things.

"But who might you be, Human? And what brings you from your world into the Equine domain?"

Though Vivid's voice were calm, and indeed carried a noticeable degree of confidence in the sly tone, she were not as much etching for a fight at this point in time as wanting to know more, so she did hers to not appear more threatening than she were. There was little she could do about the flaming ears and the scaled, demonic tail waving ever so slowly a few inches right and left behind her, but she would hold on to her magic for the time being at least.

It were what did most of her work for her really when intimidation was needed. To suddenly be entangled by tentacles, bony fists that reeked of polluted magic or be approached by a screeching amalgamation of a soul, did much of the job for her with little issues, though she hadn't always the need to threaten like that. Or well, not anymore. Not since her employee shifted.

She wouldn't move away from the spot though. Whatever would happen with this Human, it was best to not let him get anywhere near civilisation until she had learned a few things. Namely if he were a threat to the locals, as she knew that Cadence would frown much upon her simply letting a threat of that kind pass without being certain first.

The words of Nemo was the only thing that stopped Last from outright going over and make a necklace out of Mall's teeth when he had attacked the odd forgotten pony.

"Grrrr... Get control over him Crescent, one way or another. We have actual evil to deal with somewhere instead of this second-rate fruitbat. Deal with it, and let's go."

She wanted to crush Mall. She wanted to do it with a passion that she usually didn't hold back. But it was like she had said: They had an actual source of evil that ripped ponies from memory and reality to deal with somewhere in here, and not just a dark side to Crescent that thought that threatening them with being lost in his better side's dreams were actually something that would make them tremble.

Considering what she had experienced and heard of being forgotten so far, being lost in a dream or vanishing from existence entirely frankly sounded like paradise over the current fate. Especially if like Nemo here, it would last forever and your self would start to vanish a little by little, which sounded like a fate that made death an valid alternative.

Omen was about to turn around but instead bent down and looked Spike in the eyes, taking a deep sniff of his energy, though not moving any closer.

"I can find you now. Just not in here. Something stops the gates. Something... Powerful."

The more she had spoken whilst getting back up again, the more it had shown that she were not just talking to Spike, but to Twilight as well. She had their 'scent* now and could track them back if it were, though she wasn't sure if she could when they were here. If her gates didn't work there, other things might as well.

Time would tell she guessed. It usually did.

Dark clouds started to form on the horizon, approaching steadily. They would seem as though they were just another part of the dream. Lightning could be seen in the distance. On the ship, none had noticed who was at the helm. It was the bartender, still wearing the same outfit he had on earlier, still grey. "He can't be stopped, there's no point in trying. We'll be stuck like this forever, there is no escaping this fate," Nemo said, this time showing no emotion at all, saying it all as though it were simply the facts.

"I am Vivid Loss."

He hesitated, still trying to assess the situation. Name. With a name like that, the Tsoo somehow managed to climb back on the table, but she had neither the deranged kung-fu or spirity look the Tsoo usually went for. Also, y'know, still quadruped.

"But who might you be, Human? And what brings you from your world into the Equine domain?"

Quinch made a face. Information was fine coming in, but giving it out to an unknown - or even a known - was rarely a good idea. He certainly wasn't going to give it his name, be it birth name or the FBSA registration - he might as well be painting a big bullseye on his forehead. So what was he? Hero? Mercenary? Public servant? Hah. Definitely not that one.

"I'm.... a worker," he said. That much was true at least. But everything it said raised more questions. Which, again, still raised the possibility of mind games. Demons were, as a rule, as truthful as they were dishonest, so it was worth paying attention to the fine print. "Magical transportation," he added. Still true. He had no idea how or where or who or even when, but magic was... well, after experiencing it so many times, the sensations were unmistakable. And what did it mean by your world? Metaphorically? Equine domain.... equine. Horses. It did look horse-like.... ish. Minus the long muzzle or long hair. Magic eugenics might explain that. But first....

"Vivid Loss," he considered out loud. "Is that a name, or a title? A descriptor?"

Strike sighed and nodded.

"I accept your apology, it's fine. The mud is coming off anyway. The reason why I am so desperate to get off this mud? That in fact is none of your business. Have a good day." Strike answered.

She had spotted a night guard, whom she saw as an elder guard and saluted the guard. She was used to this as normally Senior Officers gave younger Junior Officers like her orders, and she would have thought that he was there to order her. Until she remembered that she was not a night guard, but a day guard, as her golden armor indicated.

"Sir of course. Everything is okay, just a mishap between me and two other ponies. I was....patrolling." Strike replied.

She then went back to her work and continued patrolling, and watching for signs of danger.

As she began to get over the mud. Strike wondered when her shift would be over. Not because she was too complain about her job but because she was feeling a little hot. She took off her helmet and ruffled down her mane to give it some air and she grinned.

"Thank goodness I can take that off without being scolded by the Senior Officers." she thought.

Strike had been in the royal guard for sometime now, and she had ranked to quite a high rank within the ranks for a Junior Officer. Of course her prime aim was to become a Senior Officer and be promoted in her job. Her wages were fair and the job, although mostly just standing there and patrolling, was quite interesting for Strike.

Strike was one of the youngest officers of the royal guard and she was still learning. She was on one of her training shifts yet again as the rest from her troop were because recently they had failed a task that they had been given.

She was a ceremonial guard perhaps, had guarded the wedding at Canterlot sometime ago. But she was also a guard in Pony Ville. her home village, as of course it was better to place guards that were local and knew many of the ponies in Pony Ville.

She was still thinking about the night guard. She supposed she had heard his name in one of the training drills that she had been through when the night guards had done a drill with the day guards.

"Hmm........Starglider right?....." she thought to herself.

Then she remembered.

"Nope. It was Stargazer." she said to herself and smiled.

Stargazer was the name. Strike could see the night guard still roaming around on his patrol and Strike wondered why the guard ahd been placed there. It was the daytime and he was a night guard.

"Is he from Luna's regiment?" Strike asked herself.

She decided to agree that for now, he was part of Princess Luna's regiment. After all he certainly looked like one of her royal guard officers.

"Yeah.... he's a batpony..."  Strike said observing the guard in the distance.

With that she had approached Stargazer.

"Sir. Can I ask why you are here? I was ordered and assigned here because we heard that there were some nearby disturbances, so rather than my regular job back at guarding the castle, I am here. But a night guard?  Surely sir. Did Princess Luna send you?" Strike asked curiously.
