summer saw blitz giving frosty a hug 'are you trying to steal my frosty or something?' summer with a wink to blitz then she walked out of the room, frosty was clearly tired and she would just let him nap in quiet.

'come, i'll show you my room' summer said blitz and opened the door. summers room was much smaller as the other room but also a lot lighter, three of the walls had windows, and the wall on the front had also a big glass door, leading to a little balcony. it had summers bed below the window on the left and opposite it was a drawer. next to the drawer was a big fluffy armchair. when summer looked at it she smiled a little 'when i was little, i used to watch the start from that chair untill i fell asleep in it' summer smiled again because of the memory 'you also can see ponyville when you stand on it.' summer said and whe walked to the window and stretched as high as she could, she was a lot bigger now and could just see ponyville, even without needing to stand on the chair. i really have grown up, literally summer thought.

As Frosty and Damon made it up to the big bedroom, looking over at Frosty curl up like a cutie. Damon smiled a little at him, "Heh, goodnight mate." It reminded him when Barrel used to curl up next to Damon on most nights. It made him miss him more.

Damon then went over to the window, opened it slightly to let a small breeze in and began logging on his radio once again, "It is said, it is better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all.... I feel differently... Regret can consume a man so deeply, that it will blacken his heart and swallow his soul. For so long I have been fighting, many battles, many wars. I lost... only one... I have seen impossible things, cheated death countless times. I can no longer deny the possibility of an unseen power. A guiding hand, helping me to fulfil my destiny... My path is chosen, my fate is sealed... But the innocent... the children... Those untainted by darkness and chaos. They can find a better tomorrow."

Although Damon was tired, he just wanted to take a nice view over in the forest for a few moments.

@@Damonater,

(Sorry for not replying to your last post, thought I had done it. :/ )

Happy Hour had been about to reply about the accusations that he was working for somepony that was apparently out for this pony, a lie resting on his tongue as so many other times when faced by ideas that he was out to get somepony, when suddenly the strange pony had raised his odd gun and aimed it at something behind him.

He had just about managed to get a brief look at what would appear to be a regular pony from this distance before a shot was heard, and the little bugger fell down whilst confetti for some reason popped up from around where the barrel of the gun had been before he turned around.

"Note to self: don't attempt to overpower this guy."

That was his first thought as he took a few seconds to take in that this guy had literally just shot somepony. Something which was odd enough as he barely saw any guns in this world, but doubly so since usually this sort of violence when meeting somepony didn't happen here in Equestria. Some fighting, sure, but there was a long way between a scuffle and Getting shot in the face!

Granted, his queen could use this sort of violence in a drone at times, and especially if the ability to use that thing survived through the conversion, but considering everything he got the impression that he would have to think this through before attempting to subdue this pony first. His queen liked having strong servants, but not ones that was a danger to her, or could potentially wreck havoc if they escaped their pod/got through the conversion with their higher brain functions intact and seeking a vengeance.

It was a balancing act to get done right, and it had made him pass on easy attempts to get some strong ones back before, but he would not risk her life on a chance. As the pony seemed to want him to follow, he would do like he most of the times did when faced with this kind of situation: Follow and observe.

With some luck, it would turn out that this one wasn't as stubborn and full of will as he seemed now, but just focused more than usually because he was angry. Weak wills was easy prey.

"Heh, quite the aim you got there mate. Not your first time at the rodeo I'd wager?"

He kept the amused tone and smiling demeanour whilst walking besides Barrel, looking between him and the road ahead without an ounce of fear showing on him from the act of violence before.

"And to your question before, I can guarantee you that I don't work for whoever's on your bad side. The only ones I work for is myself, and the thirsty souls who needs a bit of the merry spirits wherever I wander, and I doubt those ponies would run whatever have gotten you in a mood."

He gave a bit larger grin to the pony whilst they wandered and nodded his head slightly in a greeting.

"I'm Happy Hour, travelling salespony of many a wine and other self-made brews. You?"

@@DwhitetheGamer,

Stargazer kept watch on the two ponies as they slowly got through the line, keeping silent as the two of them got through their talk. He hadn't been addressed and it seemed rude to interject something when they were speaking, even if the awkward silence from the pony who identified himself as Flamestreak was thick enough to slice and put on your morning toast.

Still, he had met shy types or those who just didn't do well with a first meeting before, and overwhelming them tended to be a bad idea. It was better to let the pony go at his own pace, and then see how things developed before he said something himself.

Blitz giggled a little when Summer joked about her trying to take her Frosty. Pinkie Pie had made the same kind of comment before about her and Stormy, so she knew that it was something said in jest when it was spoken like that.

As they moved along with Damon they soon after ended in Summer's room and Blitz looked around with big eyes at all the view this place had. The only other place than her shed she could remember ever having lived in was the orphanage briefly, and neither place had this kind of view  as much as just a window or two so a little light and some air could get through the room if needed.

Her eyes soon fell on the chair though, and whilst Summer explained, she jumped up into it and wobbled around for a few seconds while she tried to get some balance before giving up and just laying down.

"The stars are pretty on the right nights."

She was about to say more before Damon started on some rather sad talking, and her focused shifted over to him, though she didn't really know what to say. Sounded a bit like he just wanted to vent something, so perhaps she wasn't supposed to say anything? Hmm... Perhaps wait and see what Summer would say first.

The Waking World:

(Some time after Charlie is taken, but before Last is taken)

An unseeable, unknowable entity made it's way down the hall of the once great castle. It found its way to the door to Celestia's chambers, guarded by changelings. He attempted to get into the room, but was held back by the barrier that Priestess had made. Immediately he gave up, knowing he did not yet have the power to get through. Instead, he settled for cursing one of the guards. He swiped his claw through the Essence of the changeling and fled, back into the Realm Of Dreams. His curse, the changeling being his first real victim, would be much different from that of Last because he had not yet built up his strength. The changeling guard would one by one forget those he knew, and others he had not forgotten would forget him until, when enough couldn't remember him, he would disappear and become one of the Forgotten. The process would be slow, but by late afternoon the next day, he would be gone.

I'll just wait, and see what he says. Maybe he says something I should know, cuz' you never know. Frosty thought by himself, I'll just pretend to sleep until he stops. She had been wandering for a while through the castle in her own thoughts after leaving the library behind, not finding much in particular beyond an old, mostly dusty castle to look through. Some places there were imprints in the dust to show that somepony had walked here within the last few weeks depending on the state of this place, but it was infrequent and never seemed to be gathered with others as much as the signs of a loner on sight-seeing.

Vivid had followed a few trails absently whilst settling her mind, though none of them for long before she followed a new one or took a turn into a darker corner of the castle, looking around for peace of mind as much as any signs that more spirits were here.

The lost ones tended to be drawn towards her, feeling a pull from her connection to death, yet that didn't mean that she was a magnet that drew everypony in. Sometimes she had to find them because they couldn't or wouldn't be led by any draw, and she had been met with hostility and fear at times before from the delusional ones who saw her as a threat more than a being there to help.them

Yet still, somepony had to do it, and it was a good way to both distract herself and potentially fall over something in this castle of interest, even if so far it had been meagre what she had found beyond signs of a past long gone. Not much else Were there really, as so far no spirits had called out or spread their residual energy in any path she had taken, so it had been a bust in many ways as far as she were concerned. Though it were pleasing that this place were not acting like a rift that drew in lost souls really. She had seen such places before and would rather want to hope that it were one of those things that couldn't come to pass again.

Made her wonder a bit why the filly from before were here then though, but it could be that she were either from the period in time that this place flourished, had latched herself unto the book of songs that were then taken here eventually, or a combination of both. The potential for just having wandered and then find something random to cling to were also there, but she doubted that was it considering the reaction of the filly when the song had begun.

She let out a sigh and took a turn again, wandering away from yet another set of shallow tracks that seemed to belong to either some skinny ponies or the lighter drones of the Changeling race, and taking trace of one that looked like a regular pony's steps.

It led her a little here and there for a few minutes before they abruptly ended near a section of wall, seemingly going to a few steps before the stones and then vanishing. A few attempts at blowing some smoke at the wall didn't show any holes that would reveal that there was a hidden path behind, and it took no further than that to make her loose interest and just file it in her mind for now as something to perhaps look into later.

She was about to leave when something caught her eye at the far wall. Something wrapped in cloth, yet had a small corner of something slightly glowing sticking out of the edge. What it was she didn't know, but as she got closer it started to feel... Odd. Like a vague feeling of serenity were flowing through the room, yet one that made the small hair on her neck feel tingly.

As she got to within a meter she used her magic to unwrap the thing- and immediately knew Why she was feeling somewhat more relaxed, though queasy at the same time.

There on the floor, now unwrapped and showing itself in all it's glory, was the cube of Harmonial magic that Missklang had created last night. There was no doubt about it either, as she had been near enough the accursed thing to know how it looked when he had formed it, though it's presence here were not encouraging.

Not because the magic was harmful to her as much as the fact that it carried the suggestion that the one who she had offered to carry it - that being Missklang - were either not here anymore, or had gotten himself into some kind of trouble and left this behind. Neither option were really good for her, but it was even less so for Briar and Charlie, as without Missklang, it would be difficult to get the creation magic needed for them to work right.

"...Difficult, but perhaps not impossible..."

She mumbled to herself whilst looking at the cube. It had been made by Missklang's magic, and contained the raw, now balanced energy of the spider's Chaos magic mixed with his own. Though she were not a fan of this thing or it's existence in general, it could perhaps still be used to achive their end goal. Provided she could find another to channel the energy that were.

Chaos was bad enough to handle, but Harmony? Even if it were not as fatal as Holy magic to her, it was still at the very least weakening and if used right against her, incapacitating. She would need another that were familiar with weaving magic if it were that it turned out that this was all she had to work with, and then pray to every god and ancestor she knew of that things would work right, considering that mixing Demonic and Harmonic magic tended to be a risky business that could very easily backfire if even a small mistake was made.

Packing the cube into the cloth again, she levitated it about a meter in front of her and went on her way again, following a new way that would eventually either lead her outside or near some of the others. Which one they would see as time went on, but it mattered little to her which ones she ran into first. She had things to do around most ponies she could recall from last night, and considering she had to ask around for another magic user now, going through all the options before attempting outside assistance in the matter was a good enough reason to meet with every single one of them.

@@Seamore Sandwich,

Priestess continued her low chanting in front of the door, maintaining strength in the divide that kept the impure and the departed from entering. *gasp* She felt something make contact, trying to enter. "Dio! Haiyaku!" Little Dio the changeling nymph buzzed over to her mother's side. Priestess picked up the nymph and held her to her head, connecting to the hivemind.

"Guards, status."

"Nothing unusual as of yet to report mistress."

"Something attempted to breach the barrier. Only a disembodied entity could make contact like that. Did any of you feel anything strange? Anything at all just now?"

"Hmm. No. Nothing that I could think of. I feel the same as I had for the past several hours. Any of you?" A collection of similar answers followed. "Sorry mistress. But we did not feel anything. Not the half dozen scattered paired out though the hall, and not the five of us at the door."

"Alright. Keep vigilant. There's som-- wait..."

"Mistress?"

"Six in the hall. Five at the door. Is that what you said?"

"Yes Mistress."

"... I ordered six though the hall and six at the door. And I distinctly remember there being six of you when I entered. All changelings on guard duty, sound off!" She got a chous of affrmations for her trouble. A dozen of them. "Someling give me visual confirmation. How many of you are at the door?"

"1,2,3,4,5...6? Wait, soldier, where did you come from?"

"I was here the entire time? Wait, where did you come from?"

"I've been at this end the whole time as well."

"Sir, they was here right next to me, and you were right over there the whole time."

"Soldier identify yourself."

"...May I request you do the same?"

Priestess simultaneously heard and felt the ID confirmation the changelings had. During contact within the hivemind, changelings identify one another though, what could be construed as imprints of their minds. A momentary capture of their thoughts, emotions, memories & personality, all blended together, and given it's own feeling. It was difficult to describe to a non-empath. But every changeling's signature was unique. Like a digit print to any creature with paws, claws or hands, no two are alike. Hence why despite the chatter, any creature born w/ empathic sense, Ex: a queen, could find any drone, and identify all those she has a connection with. Even a non-empath (like Priestess) linked to the hive though a middle medium (her nymph-kits) would have an ID for ligns to identify her with.

"Yeah, they've been with us for a while sir." Said one as memories from the various lings filtered in. "I was even there during most of these. Why can't I remember you? And why can't you remember me?"

"Be wary. Whatever's here maybe trying to effect your memories. Maintain hive communicae at all times. Especially you. It's apparently starting with you. Actually, the ling in charge. Swap out with one of the hall guards. The more that remember the one on the end, the better."

"Yes, mistress."

"Dismissed."

*Sigh* "I don't like this. I don't like this and I don't like what power this thing may be holding. The sooner everyone is rested up and ready to evacuate, the sooner I can exorcise this place of it's demons. The morning light can't come soon enough."

Omen didn't answer right away but instead just opened her mouth and let her tongue slide out, fall to the floor, and slide under the door. When it had gotten so far, she would feel upwards in case there were any handles on the inside that had to be pulled, or if not that,d raw the attention of somepony that would think it rather strange to see a large, black tongue fumbling around about a meter up the middle of the door on their side.

"...The door tastes strange."

It wasn't normal for her to do things like this. usually, she would just make a gate that would let her through, but since something was preventing that here, she had resorted to something she had once seen master do in a case of boredom when somepony had locked a door to him. Unlike him, she couldn't pull with a hand, but her tongue was flexible and strong, so in a pinch she could pull on a handle just as she sometimes lifted things with it. Or a pony, though it had sounded like that was frowned upon the last time she had done that to somepony some town away a week's time ago.

That being said, she had tasted doors before in one of her moods of curiosity, and normally the taste was just sweat, earth and wood, though a few times soap. This one was different, but she couldn't tell what it was she was tasting. It was somewhat flowery and it tingled slightly, but that was the extend of words she had to describe this with.

Whilst the rambling went on, Omen just stood and tried to listen to what the fast-talking princess was saying whilst her tongue rolled back into her head and she could close her mouth again. From what she understood of what the pony was saying, it sounded like she thought that Omen and Senlin had an issue like warring, stealing, or loosing things going between them and had sought her out for help regarding that. Something which sounded weird to her, as they hadn't said anything was wrong yet, though perhaps this was just how this princess were? She had seen it once before whilst following her from the shadows, so perhaps it was a quirk of sorts, which would perhaps explain what master saw in her. He tended to like quirks when she knew him.

"Luna looked at books for help too."

She tilted her head a little as the whispering voice with the slight echo would enter the minds of Twilight and Spike, though not for more than a few seconds before taking a step forward and sniffing the air around the princess.

Omen wasn't the greatest sniffer out there by a long shot, but it wasn't the faint trace of regular smell she went by either, as much as the vague trail of magic that was sometimes left behind by Discord. She couldn't find the scent on this one right now, but it didn't mean he wasn't here/had been here. Twilight was a magic user of some renown after all, and using magic would quickly get the trace of any foreign one off you unless it was something special, or a scent of a kind she couldn't pick up on. And that is If he had left a trail behind at all, which wasn't guaranteed to happen.

Twilight seemed confused. Staring at Omen she asks, "How did you...?" The telepathy was totally new to her, and completely unexpected seeing as Omen didn't have a horn. If she did have a horn, Twilight would have been asking her to teach her the spell she used, but that seemed impossible.

Doctor Miles awoke the next morning, just before sunrise like he did every morning. He brodcast to one of the guards, "Call me when they wake up, I'd like to get to work treating them as soon as they're ready." It turns out however, that the particular guard he was talking to were the same one that was attacked by the entity from the night before.

"I am fine. I am just.... having my moments I guess. Just miss him a lot." Damon answered. "Or it could that I am tired." Damon then turned back and layed down on the tiny bed. His legs were hanging off the side, he looked to the others, "Night guys... Thank you for the... hospitality. I thought you might have freaked out naturally the first time you guys saw me." Damon explained.

Barrel looked to the other pony with his blank expression, "You sell vodka? Would be nice to have some now eh...?" Barrel explained to Happy Hour.

As they walked through the middle of the town, Barrel noticed a chalk drawing on the wall... It was a weapon. He went up to it and inspected it... Where have I seen this before...? I know I have somewhere... He thought to himself. Barrel then put his hooves to it and the weapon became real.

"What the-...? A drawing becomes real? I must be imagining this..." Barrel said. It was the PPSH-41 sub machine gun.

It was then, the ground shook slightly. Something was rising from the ground... Zombies yet again. They were rising up from all over the place. Coming from the left and center of them. "Uh oh... We better get moving." And then, some music began to play in the background. ((Play the spoiler))

It looked like there were only 10 of them slowly walking towards them.

@,

@@DwhitetheGamer,

@@Officer Strike,

Stargazer turned his head at Cooper's words and looked out the window in time to see the mare galloping away to places unknown, which in and by itself wasn't anything strange. What was a bit strange however, were that he could have sworn that he got a short glimpse of something that didn't look like a full set of armour, but more like a part of a guard ensemble. Not a Night Guard, as she didn't carry enough resemblance to a batpony, but perhaps a few pieces of another kin? Perhaps it was one of Princess Twilight's?

That were still dependant on whatever or not he had seen right though, and that the short glimpse of some part of armour/medals or the like was real instead of just his brain playing tricks on him because he was getting tired. Yet, there would only be one way to be sure.

"If you will excuse me for a bit, I need to check up on something."

Though he were near the front of the line now, Stargazer broke off and went for the exit, then walked down the street in the direction that he had seen the mare run before. He had been determined to make this a short trip with little distractions, but as he had gone down and towards wherever she had went, the smell of coffee had made him pause his step and lead him briefly to a stand where, amongst other things, they sold cups of coffee from a wagon.

The line wasn't long there, and within a minute of stopping he would be able to walk down towards the mare again if she had not turned around, though now with a cup the size of a regular tankard in his hoof and flying slowly near the ground, though high enough so that he didn't hit anypony.

Omen tilted her head at Twilight, puzzled over what she had meant.

"How did I what?"

Omen wasn't an idiot, but she were a bit oblivious to what other might not find normal and had questions about. Like in this case, the one way telepathy that happened when she was speaking. Though, you could consider it more akin to *projecting* as she was just sending her words, not poking around or getting any feedback from who was near her.

@@Damonater,

Happy Hour chuckled when the unidentified pony mentioned vodka.

"I tend to have a bottle or two handy. They don't sell that well compared to most of the other things - especially the wine - so the bottles tend to last a while. When we reach a more friendly place I can have a look and see if there's anything left,a nd you can see that the road's no obstacle for a good brewer."

To say that they didn't sell well was frankly an understatement. The popularity of that particular one was so scarce that the two bottles he kept in the wagon tended to last 4 months or more, and he was constantly forgetting if he had any in stock before he was faced with having run out of it in front of a customer.

Not that it mattered much to him. Even if he had broadened his horizon and made other stuff like vodka, brandy and so forth, wine was his speciality, and it was what most asked for when he came around places where they'd heard about him before. In new places it tended to take a bit longer, but leaving a few samples out tended to be a great way to get the word to spread and convert a few of the cider lovers.

He was about to go into a longer internal debate with himself over how anypony could actually drink that when the other pony quite literally pulled a gun out of a wall, and his focus turned to that entirely.

Asking what exactly was going on would have been his next action, but the risen dead - this place was getting more and more bizarre - was a great way to make him re-evaluate his priorities, and seeing as the other pony was armed and he couldn't see him judging over fighting, it was pretty easy to see where this was best lead to as far as he was concerned.

"Heh, seems like the scene's set for a dance."

Shrugging off the wagon from his back, Happy Hour took hold of his sickles and placed one in each hoof, looking between the approaching zombies backed by the strange music, and his current companion with a carefree grin on his face.

"Shall we?"

It was an option per se to run, sure, but there were few of them and they were slow. It seemed a pity to run from that, and especially one like him that was from a hive where battle was seen as something only cowards and traitors ran away from, both which were not accepted amongst them.

Besides, this would be a good opportunity to learn a little about how his company fought, as well as a nice change from the surprising lack of anything requiring violence since he got to Equestria. A little fight against an inferior opponent wasn't much, but it would be good for both things, and the chance of them loosing against things like this were minimal at worst. He likely didn't even have to use any magic against them.

@@Seamore Sandwich,

The guard by the door wasn't having the best of nights. Those that were next to them seemed surprised by their presence, beofre being reminded by the other guards that they'd been there the whole time.  It was becoming clear to those that could remember that this one changeling was fading from their ranks. They wondered what was happening, what could be done, and were they next to receive this curse?

"Call me when they wake up, I'd like to get to work treating them as soon as they're ready."

It seemed like so long since they'd been addressed formally and not out of shock or surprise.  They may not know who the fellow guards were, but they knew their job, and that's being a guard to the Queen, her mistress and their children. Who could forget them? He scanned the room inside, seeing if any of the queens brood were conscious. It seemed though, they were not. The Queen herself as also still asleep. And there was no way of telling if her mistress was awake do to the barrier she put around herself to protect form otherworldly threats, like the one that's probably doing all this.

It was most likely that they were all resting, and they dare not be disturbed. The guard focused back to their post, unknowing that Priestess was still very much awake and maintaining her shield. They looked down to the floor. They took their wrist blade and began etching into the stone.

"How are you using a telepathy spell if you don't have a horn. I mean, that's not something you see every day. That's not even possible, I should know, I've been studying magic as long as I could read, which was early I might add. Oh! Maybe you used a spell to make your horn invisible! I should try to learn that spell, I don't know what kind of use that would have, but hay, you never know right? Might I ask what book you learned it from, because if I don't have it I should definitely get a copy. Also, the way your mane is moving is quite interesting. Is that another spell? Would I find it in the same book or is it in another book, and what book would that be? Right! I forgot to ask about the telepathy spell, I'd love to know where you learned that one. I should start writing a list. Spike will you get me a quill and some paper?" Twilight rambled on again, not even stopping to take a breath.

Two small, identical sea green Pegasi with grey hair were leaving Quills and Sofas with more than a few white feathers floating out the door and gumballs rolling on the floor behind them. One seemed irritated while the other seemed happy. Ink, the happy one, spoke first saying, "I have an INKling that he's not too happy, Quill." He was of course speaking about the owner of Quills and Sofas, after having caused a chain reaction of events that led to a ceiling fan falling onto a sofa while it was still spinning, sending the feather stuffing flying everywhere. "Will you stop with these he puns, Ink? We came here to buy one sofa for our new place but now we have to pay for two sofas, a ceiling fan, and a gumball machine!" Quill said, clearly unamused. "Do you mean 'Quill you stop'?" Ink retorted. Just then with the most imperfect timing he could have had, he tripped over his own hooves, falling hard into a puddle of mud, spladhing it straight toward Strike as she was passing by.

Doctor Xeno decided he would explore the castle a bit. It was still pretty early, so the others wouldn't be up yet. He started by heading down the ramp through the safe room, which Luna had left open the night before. He found his way to the portal room, were the trees were both still in the cart, waiting to be deseeded.

(OOC: this takes place before Seamore and the others get to the portal room in the morning. Just thought I would specify in case I didn't make it clear enough.)

@@Seamore Sandwich,

"Done." The guard had finished his etchings onto the floor.  He may not last, but his presence was now, literally, carved into stone. An 'X' where he stood, along w/ his number, 4859th changeling born to this hive out of 7734.

*slurp* Back inside the room, Priestess was still chanting low, maintaining the incantations that fuel her barrier. *slurp* And drinking shots of her personal energy concoction known as Mountain Yeti. *slurp* She's gonna be up for a while.

Senlin couldn't have imagined that he would one day be in the presence of royalty, even if that royalty happened to be the seemingly more casual Princess Twilight. Though there was some things to reconsider when it comes to decorum, the princess didn't seem to demand such things, at least at the moment.

"Apologies for butting in, princess, but would you happen to know if Discord is around? I brought my friend here to see him."

The rambling princess might hold it against him but Senlin didn't have magic of his own; there was no way to read another mind.
