Light spaced out and didn't feel like himself and would just trot beside them, nodding to what they say but not hearing everything they say.

" God's... Yeah..... Hanging around them... Sure breaks their image when you get up and close to some of them...."

" Tractor... Yeah."

"yeah, it's good, Thanks...And thank you for being so accepting and welcoming, it really helps with all the fears that come with being in a new place." Ginger Lightning smiled before yawning again.

"Welp, I should go ahead and get some sleep. I look forward to making new friends and getting in touch with my changeling roots." she said before flopping into her bed.

“Thanks for trying to cheer me up, Rosa, but I don’t want you to relive something embarrassing if you don’t want to. If you’re not comfortable with sharing that story, there’s no need to share. If you insist, however, I won’t stop you. Besides, I’d like to know that I’ve grown up a little from that time, even if it means learning to deal with an embarrassing past.”

“And Lin? Enough with the teasing. Once or twice is fine, but this is getting annoying.”

Lin sighed but conceded. She knew the night could use some more levity, but this may have been a where she could’ve overstepped her boundaries. Though Sen should’ve said something sooner before she spilled the whole story to Rosa. It may have been fine when the family was recounting this story, but among friends… perhaps it was a step too far. Seeing Sen hiding his embarrassment was a bit much.

“Fine, but you make it so easy, brother.”

It was evident in Sen’s tone that he wasn’t enjoying the teasing anymore, given how suddenly came across as serious and firm. He may come off as softie to some, but growing up to be tough left him with some ability to be assertive when necessary. He didn’t like that he had to be firm with his sister, but it had to be done. In the meantime, Sen was a little more relieved now between this and knowing that the so-called dancing game, if there is one, challenges reflexes. That one might be more preferable if could he could see it.

“A game of reflexes might be a nice thing, but I’d be a little cautious if we find one. I’d rather not give Lin more stories to tease me with, even if it’ll be entertaining in the future. But, I’m always up for another game for another game we can all play. This night is for you to enjoy, Rosa. I’m up for doing what you find interesting.”

At the same time, Lin noticed a small group of onlooking dragons watching Omen. In a sense, even Lin couldn’t help but watch Omen and see her downing lots of that special hot sauce. It’s bizarre, to say the least, but she isn’t in a position to say otherwise, and Omen is holding solid conversations with the curious onlookers. Perhaps with the crowd gathering nearby, it may not be such a good idea to disclose more personal stories, at least for now.

A meditation technique? Interesting, and very useful. He had found at times that it really helped him too, to be able to just sit and focus his mind like that. It were good, and in situations like this, could be vital. Panic rarely caused you to make the best of decisions.

He were about to ask something about this, when she had suddenly dragged him into a hug, and his words stopped in his throat.

It wasn't one of those *And then he learned true love* situations, but it were certainly a surprise, which caught him off guard. He hadn't assumed she would have done something like that, right there and then, though he quickly got more focused on how saddened she seemed to be, and would pat her on the back.

"It's okay. Rummaging through old temples, these things are bound to happen every now and again. We just need to tackle the issue, now that it's here."

A story for another time, but he would admit that this were not first time he had been involved in releasing something by accident. Though he would admit, this one were one of the more persistent ones, that much were certain.

At present time though, she seemed to be doing something else. Placing a hoof on her cutie mark, and... Focusing? It were hard for him to say, but it might be what she used as kind of her focus object, when doing the meditation. Fair game if it were. In a pinch he tended to go with the feather in his hat, so it wasn't like he were one to judge on this matter.

And then, as suddenly as it had all started, she would take off, and fast. There weren't time to think on what to do here, beyond trusting that she had some sort of idea, and follow her as quickly as he could. Least the headache were gone now, so that made things simpler though the magical fatigue could be felt in his horn. He weren't gonna be able to do big, flashy things again like cracking stones, before he had time to do some rest. Maybe something smaller though.

Yet that wasn't important. He had to haul flank, before Fuchsia ended up completely on her own.

Fuchsia would, at a later point, remember the tenderness of her companion - not recoiling or brushing her off, as many would in that situation and not abandoning her either.

But for now, she whistled through the jungle with jungle plants ripping at her sleek hide, taken by the manic exhilaration of flight from a predator coupled with an inspiration, focused on her cutie-mark, as to where to go. If Billowing lags behind at all, which is possible given his condition, she will double back and encourage him on - assuring him of relative safety if they only press onward.

Eventually the jungle presses in thickly and she has to brandish her small blade to cut through vines and undergrowth. She is undeterred by the thick canpoy over-head and the fact they are heading deeper into the jungle. The pace slows and she cuts ahead. Moisture streaks her jungly camouflage, which is added to by green pulp of the plants she is cutting through. In the dense jungle, the only noise is their pants and the *thwack* noise of vegetation... until Fuchsia suddenly asks, pantingly:

"Are... you.... ok?"

She wouldn't have to bolt back for him all that much. Physical and magical exhaustion were not the same, though having to deal with both of them later were going to be a taxing endeavor. Or well, annoying at least, as he'd need a long rest, and he liked to not spend too much time on that, so that he could use his days more productively. He had the suspicion that his home's caretaker were sometimes putting sleeping powder, and other things, in his food to halt him from overextending himself like that, but had no real proof of it. Just the occasional extra long sleep, that he hadn't planned to have, even when feeling ill.

That being said, he were carrying all his camping equipment, so things would inevitably cause hi to fall behind here and there. Just couldn't be helped.

As for the here and now, they'd soon enough get to a point where Fuchsia would start to slice and dice away at some vegetation. Why? He didn't know, but as it seemed important, he'd take one of his machete's out, and start cutting away near her, yet at a good enough distance to where they were unlikely to hit one another. It would require one of them to actively try to do it at least, and he for one, saw no reason to do so. Even if the dark force came closer and closer to them.

"Me? I'm an *chop* example of perfect *slash* health. How about *cut* you? Are you *slice* holding up?"

She better be, as her having some sort of breakdown were not well timed, considering what they were facing. But he'd have faith in her, and trust that she knew what she were doing. And that whatever it were, would work, as the dark presence crept ever close, steadily, and clearly without much of a rush. It probably knew that they couldn't run forever.

"I think it's only fair really, considering what have been told of you, that you also get something to remember. Though I will expunge certain details of my story for privacy reasons.

It were back when I were twelve. My father had gotten a commendation from work, and wanted me to be there when he got it. Still being in school, and doing my best to follow in his hoofsteppes, I were enthralled to see this, yet being young and stupid, I also had the - in hindsight - completely, bafflingly idiotic idea, that I wanted to try and impress his bosses at this event.

So the event begins, and my father asks me to seat down with a colt we shall name Sparrow, for the sake if this history, and his mother. We were born around the same date, so from an early age, our parents encouraged us to make friends, and we did well. Though as we were still kids, we were not the smartest, and I had already told him of my plans. Since he too wanted to try and make a good impression, he were sold on the idea, and as soon as his mother left briefly to get refreshments, we would scamper off, and prepare our attempt.

We planned to swoop down with the appropriate tools, easily take my fathers commendation, and then get away unseen. That should prove effective in showing our meddle.

...The details are incriminating, but to summarize: We failed miserably, were deflected by the guards, and I for one, got sent rolling through the air, and landed up head first, in a fish bowl.

So there my father is, embarrassed, and trying to get his son's head out before he drowns, and all the while, the crowd is laughing. In fact, his boss ended up laughing so hard, that he almost passed out. My father still got his commendation, thankfully, but only because even the higher ups, who usually have the humor of a dried up pond, stated smirking themselves, once my head came out of the bowl, and my father had to roughly kick my back to make me spit out the two goldfish that were wriggling down my throat. I were however, barred from ever showing up at an event like that again, until I turned eighteen. And even then, only under constant supervision.

And if you wonder what happened to my friend... Let us just say that there used to be a cake at the event too. Past tense being important here."

By far, not his finest moment, but it had taught him a lesson at least. A few in fact, as there were much of his own idiocy to examine from that, and he could see many things that he should not do again, based off of that. Mainly the part about not showing off at places where it wasn't needed. And especially not at times when it was important that he stayed focused and calm.

"In that case, I say we try something simple, that does not include potential embarrassment. I think we had enough of that for now, yes? The games where you use the water pistols to hit a target seems nice and simple, yes? And not one where I have an initiate, unfair advantage, as the flow of these things tends to vary, so it is a matter of adjusting for me too. It is also not taxing, so you can join without issue Lin. Omen may even too, as there is nothing in that, which can be dangerous, or hurt others. If we can tear her away from her fan club, that is."

He were referring to the group, where the dragon and griffon had seemingly gone over to Omen, and dared her to pour what amounted to a large spoonful of the hot food on her tongue, and then eat it. The griffon bet she wouldn't take the dare, while the dragon had bet she wouldn't be able to do it. Imagine their surprise when she rolled out her tongue, and poured that across it, and then slowly retracted it into her muzzle. And this just showcased further how how it were, as there came a sizzling sound when it hit her tongue, and it began to steam instantly. This was no joke, when it came to hot food.

As neither of the had won that bet, there seemed to be a consensus between them, and the crowd, that that meant that Omen had won, as she had agreed to try. Hence, the poll of bits went to her. That she then ate those bits however, surprised most, but then they started to clap. Acts with folks eating weird things, and even swords, were head of, but not that common anymore, in this day and age, so they thought this were a kind of impromptu street performance, by one of the old school practitioners. Just one that weren't relying on fakeness, as it were hard to fake what she were given by random onlookers, who had never seen or heard of her before. Including actual vendors.

@GingerLightning

"Sleep well, sibling."

Both of them would get in close, and give Ginger a nice, varm hug. This were a close, friendly hive, so they had embraced the equines' lust for hugs, wholeheartedly years ago.

They'd leave her be after that, and go to prepare some things for the next show, while Ginger went to bed. If he were trained to be in the small bed or not, the timberwolf pup would then do his best to jump up on the bed, and would eventually succeed, if not discouraged. If he wasn't, he'd lie down next to Ginger, and lick her on the forehead, before curling up and get ready to rest too. he wasn't much of a guard yet, due to his scrawny looks and age, but he still instinctively wanted to watch out for his friend, who had taken him from the forest, and given him a nicer home, than with the pack that bullied him for his scrawny build.

He'd wake up when she did, and would likely need to go for a walk by then. Standard for taking care of a pup, even though Ginger would get weird looks, for her puppy being of a timberwolf. It were generally not seen as normal to have that.

“What? No! That will be our dumbest decision!” Flinty yelled at Blunt, “If you guys read crime novels then you'll find out how gangs fall to justice. I don't want to be like them so we have to do something in a stealthy manner” she turned to Pop, “Have you seen where the scent goes?” if Pop Rock remember correctly, Windy and Sorrow's scents would lead them into a wall.

Pop Rock sometimes got genders wrong when speaking about ponies. Though in her defense, some of them were very feminine, and many wore perfume of some kind. It confused her nose, and she wasn't as used to be around ponies as it were, yet. It had only been a few years since she were saved at this point, and she had many things to handle. Learning all inns and outs of pony genders, without getting too personal, were not top of her list.

"Mistress say it bad idea to jump into things, and expose yourself. Not read novels, but mistress teaching me. Can read signs, and small things now.

Cannot find exact place for scent, sadly. Many beings, much food smell too. It mingles. Makes it hard to find. Smells like they went into wall. But that not possible, right? Ponies cannot go through walls... Can they? Not without special entrance. Maybe wall have that?

I could stay and watch inn, see if something happens? Not many look at me. Ignore me most times. Makes it easier to see things. Mistress wants these found badly. Very insistent on that."

Which also meant that she would be greatly displeased if they failed, so they had to try to find out some way to get a hold of the two. One way would be Pop spying on the place. Other maybe to have a new face, rent a room, then see if they heard or saw something strange. Several other options too, though brute forcing it would be very unwise. The boss would not like exposure, and if it came to that, it were simpler to deal with the problem ones, than to risk the operation being scrutinized.

@Monotonality

By the time Magnolia had woken up, two hours after Zeehva, the widow had already returned to the bed. Her salving took about half an hour to complete properly, then she had sat and wept a little for herself for about ten minutes, as she gazed upon herself, and then after that, she finally got dressed, and returned back to bed. She'd have to get her dress washed one of these days, but beyond it being dusty, it were doing okay right now. She'd just like if it could get itself a round of cleaning soon regardless. It made her feel better, when it were fully clean.

She would be tempted to read the file, as she had laid it down next to the dress, when she put on her salve, but she still didn't have the nerve for it. She wished with a burning passion to read it, but she just knew that if she tried, she'd falter. She just wasn't ready to know the truth yet. But at least, knowing she had it with her, brought some comfort. Least she had her answers now, even if she currently hadn't the heart to examine it.

She had been laying in a minor slumber when Magnolia woke up. She had considered going over and shaking up the mare, to see if she were ready for them to get on with the day, but she just looked so peaceful, as she laid there asleep. As if she hadn't a care in the world, as her silky mane just laid sprawled across the pillow. Zeehva had given the tired mare a motherly smile then, and went to her own bed. it were good to see the well groomed mare have her moments of peace like this, and she had no interest in being the one to ruin this for her. The pretty little mare should get her rest.

"Good evening. Did you sleep well? You looked pretty peaceful when I saw you last time at least. It's good to know you're not plagued by nightmares."

Luna and Blue giggled “We aren't great narrators, Molotov and we're both inexperienced when it comes to convincing a 'hard obsidian head filly' from hoping out of her.... contraption,” Luna told him.

"Even mom couldn't really get Blitz to listen. She's a brilliant little thing, but she's as impulsive and curious as any filly, and then some. Usually we have to sorta distract or lure her with something, to get her to listen in. I knew I should've taken some of the candy canes with me... Ergh. Least this seems sorta safe. Long as Cali ain't actually letting her drive anywhere in her like that. I really don't wanna deal with the guards over this, and she might accidentally hurt somepony. It'd devastate her."

Times like this, he wished mom were here. She would know how to fully distract Blitz... Yet, he didn't even know if she were dead, or held alive somewhere, whilst Celestia knows who were doing bad things to her and the others. Of course he'd do anything to have his mom here with him, but if the alternative were that she had been tortured for a few months, he'd hope she were at peace. It were kinder to her.

"Yeah definitely not something you would want to deal with. I'd suggest staying away from that sort you know. Don't know what they could be up to doing. But however, looks can be deceiving. Never judge a book by its cover. I do my best to never do such things." the tractor's grill grinned.

"Eh, if she's been vetted by the princess, that's good enough for me. I trust her judgement. And she were nice enough about things. Just still a bit iffy before I get a greenlight from somepony up high."

He'd poke at the grill, to evaluate how flexible the metal actually were, for her to be able to smile like that, as he gazed upon the tractor.

"Okay, I know you are good at transformations and all, but how did you not even creak when doing that?"

On 2021-04-29 at 3:02 AM, Cali said:

"Sounds like quite the hassle honestly. I might end up going there sometime but I don't plan on it. Sounds dangerous, despite the power I host. But I'll keep it on the to-do list for the future. Thank you for telling me of this. Germane? You mean, Germany. Germany is the most powerful nation where I am from. The Third German Reich. A very...interesting sort they are. Monarchy under a sort of dictatorship but they made up for the bad things they did, they are very active in space and such. I'll have you know."

"Those're your versions. With us, Germane is a thriving economy, mostly focused in agriculture, various sea-related companies, and yada yada. They're highly respectful of their ancient traditions of druidism, and those practicing it, are revered highly. Closest thing they got to taking over things, were a bit of a skirmish they had with Hayden some centuries back, but that was mostly a trade dispute, and they both got their stuff together when a few of 'em on both sides started to get violent. They agreed it had gone way too far at that point."

"I vote tractor. Tractor all the way! Not a train cart!" Cali said rather playfully to that, not minding Blitz's playtime in the least. She'd let her have her fun there. She wasn't doing any harm. Just having fun really.

"Well, I got a partial motor, so that sounds like a good start. A few alterations to sort out when rebuilding it, to make it fit a tractor more, but that shouldn't be much of an issue. Gonna need to find some new fuel lines though, There's are totalled. Let's see if there's something around here we can work with, eh? Gotta be. And keep your eyes out for anything looking like a beat up chassis. Sure it'll need some work, but there's a certain sorta beauty in just bashing out those with a lot of hammering, and see something trashed, returned to its good old self."

While he were talking, Blitz were using her muzzle to loudly honk, and pretend to turn from side to side, to look for something they could use. She couldn't even see above the wheel, so she couldn't actually see something, but it was all a game anyway. One she'd get bored of eventually, but now were not it.

"I'd like to have a go at it straight away, it sounds like a really interesting place to have in my possession. No offense, I'd just like to get a place for my own and get all set up. I'm more of a lone wolf in all honesty. I like doing things on my own but you have all been so gracious to me so I will make an exception. I'm not afraid of no ghosts or monsters, especially when I've battled interdimensional creatures and gods that would make you insane just by looking at them, basically. I am quite jaded to them. I would like to have the mansion re-built depending on it, and have some statues of myself built on it." she laughed. "I can pay for that, too."

"Like I said: If you can clear it out, they'd be grateful. Might mean they'll give you a discount on the purchase. And what you do with it after that, is all your own business, lest you're gonna continue the crazy days. So just don't make monsters in the cellars, and I think you're golden.

And I am not going there. No offense, but I like to stay alive. I got a family legacy to try and carry on, and I can't risk that in a mansion like that. Try and find one of the ghost folks and team up with, then clear it out, top to bottom. or go at it yourself. I dunno, can you handle ghosts? Might be you fought worse, but still, you might not be able to get rid of 'em, even if they can't harm ya.

I'd advise the weird folks. Far as I know, they all have creepy name, like Grim Dawn, Sorrow, Pale Rider, Tomb Maker, Grave Digger, and Veiled Shriek. Or I've been filled with exaggerated stories. It can be hard to tell, ya know?"

“A hidden door connecting the bar and the inn huh? What a canny idea to throw us out of their trail” Flinty stared at the inn towering over the small bar. If their targets are indeed staying in the inn how would they carry out their plan to take their targets to Needle? There's no doubt they will leave Fillydelphia tomorrow. She wanted to get ideas and her group and the diamond dog can provide her “What do you have in your minds?” she asked them.

Blunt smirked “You could woo either the bartender or one of the staff's inn using your hot slender bod-” he suddenly find himself startg nothing but the burning eyes of a mare.

“I'm strongly against that plan!” her expression then softened, “Except if it only involved touching and talking to them"

Upon hearing Pop Rock's suggestion, Flinty voiced her thoughts “Another great advice but while the others will not bat an eye on you, I'm pretty sure our targets are high on alert. What about you, Shackles?”

Shackles shrugged “I dunno. Force ourselves in? I'm bad at this kind of job” Flinty sighed. This is going to take them a while.

“Can you... Turn into some fast flying machine?” Luna certainly had no knowledge with jet aircraft's but hearing anout the high level of technology in Cali's world made her interested if humans already have found a way to travel by air. That would be amazing for a dominant land creatures to invent.

Ginger Was used to receiving weird looks, previously for her being a hybrid, now because of Meiko. She didn’t really mind, she's not normal, and she's fine with that. After their walk she went to her room and brushed her teeth since she had forgotten to brush them earlier. She smiled in the mirror admiring her sharp and flat teeth equally.

"My teeth are all clean, and my mane..." she muttered trying to brush her unruly mane and she broke her hairbrush.

"well my mane has taken the life of yet another hairbrush...I swear it has a mind of its own and needs a trained professional to beat it into submission."she sighed removing the broken hair brush from her hair. Then her stomach growled and she wondered if there was a breakfast.

"Let's go see if there's a breakfast or something, Meiko." she said before leaving her room to find food.

"In the case of me not staying in the homelands, I don't believe I would come back here either, living among prey you're not allowed to hunt is frustrating."  Ruby stated, it was especially annoying when the prey acted annoyingly, anywhere else that wouldn't have been a problem, not that it had stopped her from getting a taste of pony, she just had to be careful who to take "Maybe I'll find a small community somewhere that starts worshiping me as their god and sacrifices things in my name." she was joking, but at the same time the idea of being seen as a god was interesting, it could be worth a try for few centuries or so at some point.

Ruby didn't question Marley about the pools of blood, in fact, from look of her, it had as much effect on her as Marley stating that he was a bird would have, or in other word, she was as uncaring as always.  "Yes, let's go." she said before saying something to Charir, from his reaction one could gather that she most likely told him they would be leaving, as he quickly finished what he had taken and got ready to move. "He's a predator grown to hunt and eat raw meat, anything unnecessary mixed in just ruins the taste." the sense of taste of their kind was weaker than many other creatures, that was because their natural resistance against poisons, illness and such was high, making the need to taste them unnecessary, their sense of smell also worked fine in warning about the few things that were dangerous. Because of that, spices, marinading and other such things only worked to cover the taste of blood and meat under the less enjoyable taste.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scarecrow waited for the ball to lessen in bouncing before putting it forward to make sure it went where he wanted "I have mainly observed the town from outside in, this being the closest to being in the town, so I have not yet been able to form a solid opinion." "But I find few details curious, mainly regarding the forest and its dangers." "The forest is well known for its creatures and plants, yet the town's edge is not only very close to it, but unprotected, lacking a wall or even a fence to keep creatures at bay."

---------------------------------------------------------------
"Can't say we have heard of places with such names, but our home was quite rural." that went for the whole empire, because besides the capital there wasn't really any settlements that were big enough to be called cities "And we did escape technically speaking, it was by accident and without really trying to do so, but I'm not complaining." "And I wouldn't say parties and laughter were unnatural necessarily, it was more that the reasoning behind them was usually....less positive." Parties were for the successful, or in other word for those in military or those who were otherwise heavily helping with the war, like weapon manufacturers, and laughter....genuine laughter usually meant one of two things, someone had lost their mind, or one of the more brutal soldiers or commanders were around...though one could argue that they weren't fully sane either. "But it's better leave the details untold for now at least, we have lot to think about."

"But we can come to check your store out, though can't buy anything, we don't even know what currency you use here, so we don't exactly have anything to pay with." More they learned about changelings, more they believed what the guard had said about their fate in their Equestria, their illusions, feeding on emotions, jelly capable of storing emotions, all of those were familiar things to them, just in quite different form than a living creature.

“Whoa, that is so amazing” Blue gasped as she started at the amazing 'flying machine'. Luna had taken the time to touch the nose, feeling the smooth texture of it's metallic body “Unbelievable, it feels like I'm touching real metal” she would then walk around Cali, examining her wings to her rear “What are these?" Luna asked about the nozzles.

Sen wouldn’t stop Rosa from recounting his tale, and he’d give a smirk that grew the more he heard Rosa’s story. It had a nice setup, and the longma found himself being engaged in the tale, beginning to see himself in the setting and going along the motions as if he was there himself. The outcome was amusing and unexpected, and Sen found himself giggling at the end of the story. The imagery was hilarious and vivid, though he couldn’t find it in his heart to rub the embarrassment in.

“That is quite a story, Rosa!” Sen had to pause and cover his mouth before he would end up vocalizing his delight at the tale. “I’d say had a way with uh… what do they call it? Thinking big? Though I’d hazard a guess that with you leaving out the details, it leaves room to imagine just how things happened, which makes this tale sound more fun! Shame about the cake, though, but I think your friend may have had a delicious landing, which probably isn’t too bad. Glad to know things still worked out well despite what happened.”

“You nailed it right there. We may be questioning what our younger selves might be thinking back then, but times did feel a lot simpler when we were young.” Lin added, evidently having enjoyed Rosa’s tale just as much as her brother, though also sounding a little wistful. “Hindsight is quite thing to have, but I’m glad things didn’t turn out worse for you, Rosa, though that makes me wonder what happened to your friend after the whole thing.”

Might not be the kind of shenanigans the siblings would find themselves doing, but Lin couldn’t help wonder if Sen would’ve acted just like Rosa in similar situations. He certainly was the type to try and impress back when they were young. Of course, his training would’ve instilled in him some discipline, but there was always the youngling who couldn’t stand back and let things be.

By then, a crowd massed nearby and were taking bets on Omen. Between this and Sen’s little shock performance earlier, some carnival visitors were thinking they might be some kind of traveling performers. Lin could probably join in some time and see what she could do with her smoke-like webbing; she hasn’t exactly gotten much use of them, after all. For now, she was content to see how this one turned out, and she was impressed, though her attention turned back to Sen and Rosa.

“Water pistols sound good, especially when we can all join in. This would be a good time for Sen to earn back some of his dignity after getting his face painted like a clown. A friendly game for this one, though; I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want another wager. But let’s finish up on our meal first. Seems like the crowd gathered here is eagerly watching Omen."

Having to listen to the details presented by the witch of the wilds about how different the two lands was fascinating enough.  Their lack of resources, all hoarded and controlled by a single tyrant that even made their own royalty and government tremble.  Few could probably predict the appearance of one Equestrian detective arriving that day.  They won't be able to offer much, but that just makes planting the seeds all the easier in a developing country having to play catch up with the rest of the world.  Not that the specifics of how harshly the witch of the wilds was treated by her former master made for the best meal conversation, but Dawn was quickly starting to learn this type of talk might be par for the course in Harrowmark.  At least Dawn was able to provide Lily with a better meal than she's had what sounds like a long time.  Depending on her preferences, of course.

"I'm glad to hear you find them preferable.  Eat as much as you want.  Plenty to go around," the younger mare chuckled, slicing into her stack on her continued conquest to devour her own breakfast.  Finally taking a break in her meal to take another sip of her hot sweet flavored coffee.  "No point in letting good skills go to waste," Dawn winked.  Well, good skill not necessarily meaning a polite skill, but a useful one nonetheless.  Ponynapping was more a term of fun, getting Rising to go along with them was more an issue of poking and prodding than actually stuffing him in a sack.

"TLC, Tender Loving Care," Dawn spelled out more fully.  "You my dear, are in dire need of some hoof care and a new wardrobe if you're going to fit in here in Equestria," she twirled her hoof idly as if such a thing were a matter of fact.  "A good massage will also help those tired muscles.  This will also get our Hero of Harrowmark all prepared for his revisit to the land.  Luckily on much better terms than the time before.  Relax, enjoy some luxuries our land has to offer.  Besides, should anything happen on that bauble of yours, it'll be nice to have my brother nearby, no?" Dawn finally brought up that she was indeed aware of the ongoing scry spell, but only noticed much of its importance with Lily's occasional glances at it.

"Me? I'm-" *slash* "Good." *cut* "We just gotta get-" *chop* "to the place!"

Fuchsia grins at him, glad he is going along with her impulse and a little ashamed she thought about abandoning him before.

Eventually the gradient increases and their thighs begin to burn even more. Fuchsia stashes her blade as the vegetation thins out.

Their hooves begin to clatter on hard limestone as the soil thins, and their ears perk at the sound of falling water. As they emerge from above the jungle canopy and onto the foothills of the mountain range they hear an angry bleat ahead and and shortly after see several floofy white horned beings skipping towards them. Goats. ( @Goat-kun )

Fuchsia slows down a bit. Equestrian goats were pretty headstrong but not a problem. The goats on the way to Carthe had been pretty nice, as long as you didn't covet their nanny-goats. Jungle goats? She hadn't a clue, but they were critters she knew to take seriously.

"You want me to take the lead with them?" she asks Billowing, not knowing his experience with jungle goats

"I'm glad to hear you find them preferable.  Eat as much as you want.  Plenty to go around,"

"All in its own time. I haven't made it this far, just to choke on overindulgence."

That would be quite the end for her, wouldn't it? Go through nearly a century, with years of her latter ones being in service to a sadistic tyrant, and then finally seem him fall, while she retained the youth he had bestowed upon her. A whole new world laid out in front of her, filled with progress, and prosperity for her country. And she'd miss that, because she choked to death on a sugary slice of some kind of bread. Not a fate she would want to be her legacy. She had too much to do now. Too many things to return to the kingdom, knowledge to stow away where they may never be found again, and a long life of safeguarding those studies, in case the balance shifted violently to the other side, and Viz'nay would then need to be controlled. Say what you would about Twisted - she certainly had some words - but he had found out how to manipulate the balance if need be. In horrible, atrocious ways, but still. There might come a time when they'd need that again. Which were why she wouldn't simply have it burned, regardless of how much she assumed Thistle would like that.

She'd try and push these thoughts away for now though. There were time for that later on. For now, she were in this unfamiliar country of light, and were under the mercy of thus far, a benevolent, high efficient problem solver. One who played along with her little *joke* about kidnapping. Something which did give the witch a bit of a smirk. Dawn definitely didn't want her to actually do it, that much she were sure of, so she just thought it amusing that she simply toyed along with the idea for fun. The love of siblings never changed, no matter where you came from.

She'd keep on eating the meal as they went on, and covered more things. The only alteration being when she at times took a slurp of water. This meal probably wasn't good for her health, but it were a one time thing, so why not enjoy it? She had plenty of time to get the sugar out of her system later.

"Peculiar shortening, but certainly more agreeable than what I thought, considering my first idea were that the t stood for torture. Something I have doubts are part of things here, but as I said, it were just what came to mind first.

And I'm not certain, what's wrong with my outfit? I will have you know that I've had this for more than ten years, and it's still holding up. Is it the colors? I suppose I could look for something in dark green."

It were also likely the style, and the fact that while it had held up, it were looking a little rough in places, where you could see that it had been stitched to correct some holes and tears that the years had taken from it. Still durable in her mind though, as most things wouldn't last that long, without even more extensive work. The fact that it were horribly outdated didn't even register with her. Most ponies she had seen thus far, didn't wear clothes, and those who did, were generally the ones at the party, where she had met Dawn. And Dawn herself, of course. She just assumed the rich wore weird things because that were how they expressed their wealth in Equestria.

"A massage sounds nice though. Haven't tried that in what... Thirty-five years? It isn't something a lot in my area were all that comfortable trying, but the bone setter at the time had been flexible enough to give it his best. I recall it being fairly relaxing. Rising will need that, if he are to be ready. Which may happen sooner than I thought. I had not expected them to dock in that town, of all places, and pass through here. It is usually too dangerous. Yet..."

She'd hover the ornament up, that Dawn may see for herself, the scene of dozens upon dozens of spirits kneeling before Thistle, as one by one, they would dissipate into clouds of pale moths, that would vanish. And through it all, Thistle seemed only to grow more regal and empowered.

"Seeketh salvation in the speakers presence. Give thyself to her will, that you may find rest.

I think they may well end up in the capitol this evening, with the route they have now taken. I know not how long after that it will take for them to reach out. It's been too long since Thistle resided there, for me to know how long realignment and tradition will take for this. Might be but a few hours. Could be days.

We should make the best of our time until then, and just observe. And speaking of observing, why have I seen your brother so adamant of not wanting to make a big deal of himself? Considering his deeds, he should be boasting with pride. Yet it seems as if he wants this chalked up to a simple day, and move along. What makes him so adverse to well deserved praise and adoration?"

Eventually, he gave up on me, as most others did too, and I did not have the heart to contact him again after I sobered up. It were not just time with my father I lost during those months. It were my friends, whom I pushed away, while father spend his lucid moments desperately calling for me."

A dark cloud seemed to pass over him, as Rosa were again faced with the crushing guilt he felt towards not being there when his father needed him the most. As well as a feeling of longing for the few, yet once upon a time close friends that he had, who had tried to help him get through that, whom he had cast aside.

"I never reached out to them again, before the... Incident. Now, if they saw me, they would not be thrilled with it, to put it mildly. Just another aspect of my past that have been lost, sadly. Yet if you will excuse me, I would prefer to not dwell on that further. I do so often enough as it is."

"Let's see how things unfold there, yes. Might be there is some entertainment to find in her shenanigans, and the reaction of the audience."

It were odd seeing Omen sort of being in her element, but this would mostly be it, yes? A freak perhaps, but one that drew curiosity and impressed looks, from others thinking she were part of the local festivities. Even some of the Macabre clan were drawn in, judging by the varied dark draped clothes, chains, hooks, etc. that were found on them. A peculiar bunch, but so far, generally friendly and helpful. Barring one exception.

He'd take his own food and observe, as folks started to bring up other things they wanted her to try and eat. Dirt, rocks, metal, shards of glass - the latter two which caused a gasp to erupt, as they assumed her throat might get torn, and that the suggestions would be treated with a decline - varied rotten things, a corndog with stick, and a bug. The last of which were the first thing she denied to eat, since as she put it, she did not eat living things. After that, the bug would be released again, and she went back to trying various other things that were suggested her. Including plastic bottles, and a lit candle. Honestly, they may tip into a bowl on the ground, that someone had put, but they were sort of making her act as a living trash can.

It'd be about thirty minutes in total that would go with this, before Omen let out a loud, reverberating burp, and said that she were full. At that point, she had just finished eating a toxic mushroom, garnished with some of her hot sauce, and folks would give her a last session of claps, before they started to dissipate. Omen would then pick up the bowl with her tongue, and wander over towards the rest, to show there being around sixty bits or so there, all in all.

"I do not understand. Why are they celebrating lunch, and throwing bits?"

"I think most of those places are on smaller islands these days, far off the maps. But if you can find one, it can't hurt to try, I suppose. And there's much to hunt underground you know, beyond dragon eating wyrms. Dig far enough down, and some things starts to rummage around the crust. Seen my fair share of centipedes that'd dwarf you, for example. Not bad once they're thoroughly roasted, but that is what that is. We'll find out where to find your place when we get to that point in time, right?"

On 2021-05-01 at 11:32 AM, Catpone Cerberus said:

"Yes, let's go." she said before saying something to Charir, from his reaction one could gather that she most likely told him they would be leaving, as he quickly finished what he had taken and got ready to move. "He's a predator grown to hunt and eat raw meat, anything unnecessary mixed in just ruins the taste."

"That's a shame. Fish raw are fine, but thoroughly marinated, and then cooked to perfection with a little wine and hasselnut-roasted potatoes- Ah, it's quite divine. But to each their own. If you prefer it raw, then such if your choice, and this means I still have quite the treat to present for my next date."

"You sure that one doesn't only eat things raw?"

"She's a huntress, not a savage. She can enjoy a meal like this, much as anyone else can. But she wanted for us to hunt and eat this time, to see if we were compatible, or if I were too high strung. And what the lady wants, is what she gets. I fully intend to treat my potential mate, and her suggestions, with the respect she deserves. And I must admit, that it were quite fun to simply let loose a little. A rare, yet delightful treat that is.

But be that as it is, we should proceed. We have quite a walk ahead of us."

He'd lead them through the halls, and towards  the foyer again. From there, they'd exit, and take a right through the garden, where currently, a gardener seemed to be working hard on ensuring that it were maintained right. The pony didn't even register they were there, as he were working on the rose bushes. A good, focused worker, that one were, in Marley's opinion. And wise enough to not ask questions, but rather just stick to his.

They'd soon after be at a garage, and upon opening it, would find the wagon that were used to transport the gold in, near the door, whereas the others sat further back. it were not the fanciest of the bunch, but it were nice and sturdy, without standing out all that much. And with all the gold within, there were a greater need for being sturdy, rather than anything else. The perfect transport for that purpose, in his opinion.

They could look around a bit, while Marley got strapped in, and ready to wander. Yet if they didn't care to, he'd be ready within the next few minutes.

"I assume you would wish for us to leave from the exit that is least guarded again, yes?"

=======================================================================

@Catpone Cerberus

"Most of the time, the forest keeps to itself. It's rare it goes beyond that, unless we go in there, and cause trouble, so we just put up warning signs."

"Honestly, with the attacks that have been in recent years, and not just from animals, we maybe should speak with the princess about upping the towns defenses. She doesn't even have a guard of her own yet."

"Are you sure? I've seen the forepony wander around her, wearing armor, and with that sword of his. Looks like a guard to me."

"No official guard then. Might change, but in any case, we should still bring it up. I know it's not tradition, because you don't want to make the place seem dangerous to newcomers and tourists, but it's a little late for that now. Don't you think mom?"

The elderly mare would nod slowly in agreement, and kick the ball, though it went at an angle, and ended over with Bunny Rancher, who were still busy pampering her new little friend with pets and praises about how pretty his soft fur were. She'd push it towards her brother, who'd then kick it back towards Scarecrow. A little high this time, so it might hit him on the chest, but that was about as bad as it could go.

"Times are changing it seems. I still don't think it's too bad yet. We haven't seen timberwolves in town yet at least."

"They don't think it worth it, to get this close, though their matriarch still think you fair game, if you wander into her territory."

============================================================================

@Catpone Cerberus

"Ooof, sounds rough. I'm not gonna poke at that then, no worries.

And you don't have to worry about paying. Pinkie will want to know what to serve at your party, so whatever samples I find, I'll just put on her tab. You won't believe how depressed she can get, if everything isn't perfect at her parties. It can make her a little... Crazy."

She had seen it once, and that once, had been more than she ever wished to experience again. It were like seeing the party pony having an actual, mental breakdown, and considering the things she could do, nopony wanted that to escalate. Who knew how bad things could go, if she went fully down the rabbit hole? Nopony, and she sure wasn't gonna be the one to poke at that particular hive of crazy bees.

"She sounds unstable."

"A little, but she have saved this town many times, so  we try to just think of it as Pinkie being Pinkie. It's nice and simple that way. Now come on, follow me."

If they did, she would lead them down two streets, before at the end, seeing the place they were going for. A fair sized store, painted up to look like it were actually made out of candy, with the sign *Circle Pop's Candies and Konfekture* above the door.

Going inside, they'd be able to see rows upon rows of various candies everywhere. Boxes of mix it yourself candy, with bags and shovels on the ready. Small bags in glittering, see through paper, with beautiful looking chocolate, gummies, liquorish, etc. within then. Gift baskets big and small, filled with delicious looking, inviting delicacies, and some of the larger ones, wine too. had to have the basket for any occasion, right? And each and every thing, had a label on them, describing what were in it. Health code basically, since she didn't want folks with allergies to have a bad time here.

There were a lot of local things here, but also foreign ingredients. Things made from for example, Saddle Arabian Butter Milk, and Neighpon Lotus Sugar. Stuff that had to be imported from fairly far away.

"Welcome to my less than humble store. When I'm not travelling the world looking for ingredients, this is where I spend most of my time. A pricey investment, but I have ambitions to really make my mark, and it's getting better and better. Especially with the chocolate. You can't just order Saddle Arabian Butter Milk you know. You have to know somepony, and get their respect, before they'll even consider dealing with you. And they only do this with private creatures. If they hear anything about you reselling, it's not gonna be pretty.

Anyway, what sort of things do Kobolds eat? Meat, veggies, rocks, gems, emotions, etc. ? The better I know what flavors you might go for, the easier it is for me to pick some things out. Consistency too. Some have an urge for gems, and so I have that. Others are only interested in really soft, caramel stuff, and that's here too. Candy rocks, sugar fluffs, chocolate, gummies, so on and so forth. Anything you can tell me to start off with?"

While she were on about this, Onache's eyes were more drawn to a the counter. Not because of the old timey cash register there, but more due to a picture sitting on it, in a lovely, silver frame, of two beings. Circle Pop, and a dragon, kissing the blushing pony on her forehead. As the talk were on the kobolds for now, she figured looking around were not the worst use of her time, and this was a bizarre sight, which drew her eyes to it.

@GingerLightning

Meiko were springing around her barking joyfully when they returned fromt he walk. He didn't mind them that much anymore, and had gotten used to the leash, but he had walked close to her. There were a lot of new smells and beings here, that weren't like those he were used to, and a good deal of eyes were on him as well, from the ones that passed by, so he got nervous. It had gone well though, and soon enough they had come back, without him causing really any trouble. He had been roping a bit to try and chase a bird sitting on a box next to a pegasus, as it weren't all pets he had yet understood weren't prey, but he were weak, so it shouldn't do much to hold him back, and derail him down another path.

Now that they were back though, he were riled up, and full of energy, as Ginger went back to her room, got through her morning rituals, and eventually started to look towards getting some breakfast.

If she went back to the room they had been gathered around yesterday, she'd find that there were a single changeling there, wearing an apron and a large chef's hat, stirring a small cauldron of emotion jelly. On the table, would be some bread, jelly, cheese, and butter too, but the main dish for them, were after all emotions. Didn't mean they wouldn't try anything else though.

A small bark from Meiko would get her to turn around, confused at the sound, and then greet them both with a pleased smile.

"Goodmorning you two. Up bright and early, huh? Anything I can do for you?"

Pop looked at Flinty suddenly getting a lot less nice towards the others for a brief moment, as she put herself in respect. She liked this mare most of the three already. She could be nice, but when needed, would be tough. Just like mistress were. It were nice to meet a pony that were relatable like that. Plus, she seemed like the leader of this little group, judging by how they caved to her, and she brought up the idea to ask them. Pop should remember this, so she'd know who to defer to.

On 2021-05-01 at 6:01 AM, Windy Breeze said:

Upon hearing Pop Rock's suggestion, Flinty voiced her thoughts “Another great advice but while the others will not bat an eye on you, I'm pretty sure our targets are high on alert. What about you, Shackles?”

Shackles shrugged “I dunno. Force ourselves in? I'm bad at this kind of job” Flinty sighed. This is going to take them a while.

"Miss? Maybe we do many things, and be ready? Been here long time now. I know escape ways out of town. Flying ponies can just fly, but you have someone in air, that can see them, yes? And if they walk, they will try and escape. We find where they want to go, we can catch them, yes? Can also try and make inside talk, but force is bad. Mistress says it brings bad eyes on you. Bad bad, above her. Do not want to anger that.

Miss knows where ponies want to go?"

Pop looked at Flinty for answers, clearly acknowledging her as the de facto leader currently, and awaited her orders.

It looked like you needed the rest. Can't blame you, if you're used to sleeping outside like that. A nice, comfy bed after that, I don't think I'd let go off that easily either. I promise you though, that there will be more of these nights. You shouldn't have to just lay on the ground, or in trees, like that. It's not good for your health.

*yawn* So, it's evening, but if we're both awake, we could try and do something with our time. Should we try and look around in town? Probably not a lot awake now, but it's a large city. Some things are open if it is, and if nothing else, it could just be nice to look around too. Maybe some fresh night air will do us good, yes?"

She'd rise up from her bed, and even out the wrinkles on her dress, that came from her sleeping in it. Nothing major, as this was a good dress, but she still had a tendency to do that regardless of how little there were, out of princip. This were her wedding dress after all. Her husband would have wanted her to take good care of it, and she had a bit of vanity about it as it were regardless. She considered herself flawed enough as it were, due to all the scars, so she did what she could to look as well as she could, to compliment the dress. Nothing like what Magnolia were able to pull off, but she were also one whom seemed to have a permanent stunning look going over her. Like a model from a commercial, but without the fakeness that made it seem as if they carried themselves with complete grace everywhere. Something to envy a little, yet that would be extremely petty to do in her mind, and she'd prefer not to go that route. They all had their pros and cons. Looks were just one of Magnolia's, though she could perhaps do somethong to work it for her a little more. Maybe a nice dress? Zeehva may be biased here though.

"Have the rest helped clear things a little by the way, if its okay to ask? Things got a little hectic from meeting to rest."

"It's a little thing I like to call *Life*, patent pending. Full of potential, but have a bad habit of derailing you with all sorts of things. We're still trying to clear out the bugs in this extended beta test."

Molotov maaaay be making a little fun of Light here, but in fairness, it were fairly easy, and fun. Didn't those two count for something? Sides, it was a light jab, pun intended. It wasn't like he wanted to be a mean pony about this. He just saw a situation where he could have a little fun, and capitalized on it, by pointing out that life tended to derail you from your intended target. Though he could've been less obnoxious about it, even if he were smiling and clearly joking. Though that would've been less fun, so... Yeah, can't have that.

His hoof slid right through the grill, but he could feel it though. It felt almost like a Spider's web if anything. "I shapeshift using molecular magic. I change my mass, shape, density, etc at will. It is effiecent most of the time to keep most of my body as low of a mass or weight as possible, so that means I don't take up a lot of my magic or focus and I can keep other forms for longer. There is no creaking here at all you know due to that."

"Well cover me in sprinkles and call me a cake, this here's something special. Reminds me of some of the empty cocoons in the biology lab's experimental wing. Minus the threat of one of their monsters actually lurking nearby."

This was a special feeling for sure. A spiderweb like feeling, from touching metal. It were almost like a well strung together illusion, in a way. Fascinating explanation that came around with it too. It brought Cali's powers into perspective, to hear them explained, and presented, in this context as well. Mighty strong powers she had, if she could do this, and meant you never knew what you were against. Could look like a mammoth, and yet be made of toxic swamp gas. That was one hay of a surprise lying in wait right there.

"Well, looking at your globe, I think it's maybe the one you call... Sweating? Swahden? Swayden? Not entirely sure how you pronounce it. Nice place from what I hear. Bit of a troll issue though, what with them starting to gain some political sway on things there too. I'm sure they're about missing the good old days when those folks would just live under bridges, and make a living handling tollbooths.

Fun that you folks have druids too, though I cant connect any of those words you hear, to any I know of. Maybe the Grauttish? Grautland is a hardy place, though that's basically all I know. I'm not a geography student really. I just pick up a few things here and there, and go on a bit about some places that sounds funny."

"There you go, there is your chassis." she laughed somewhat.

"Why helloooo gorgeous."

Was it pretty? Hay no. It was rusty, beat up, the wrong size all together, and looked like a minotaur had used it for hitting practice. But was it a good starting skeleton that could be fixed and adjust? Oh hay yeah. Like any project car, it just needed some love, and he were willing to give it his all. Soon as he found a way to get this, and the motor home, but ergh. He'd sort that with the others. Something told him that Cali could be a real peach and help sort him out on this. First they had some more things to look for, though he'd first tgive this a real good once over.

"Amazed the stack you yanked it from didn't collapse out the sides there, Cali. Real nice precision work there. Got a gentler touch than I gave ya credit for in that form.

Hmm... A little with a Mog-Lock Grinder Mach 5 should do well in correcting this bending... Maybe a 6, actually. Need to adjust for the lower part being halfway shredded here."

He'd be so engulfed in this, that he wouldn't bite note in what else were going on for a time. Though Blitz would be all over it. Right after she got down from the top, as the slide were presented to her. It was simply too tempting for her, and she'd jump on it in a heartbeat, sliding down with a loud *Wheeee!*, and hooves raised above her head. To her, this was a great day that just got better every second.

And when Cali turned into a flying machine? Her jaw would start slacking, and she'd look at the machine like she were faced with the spirit of gifts and candy itself.

"So, pretty..."

She'd wander over and look around it, running her hoof down the metal here and there, and jumping up to reach points she couldn't normally otherwise. Or try to at least, as she were still rather short, so a few places she couldn't reach, regardless of her best attempts.

The both of them would be occupied with their things, and not get in the way of conversation for a bit, unless they were addressed directly. Even Blitz, who were too busy admiring the flying machine/approach it like a cat with its tower, to start asking questions.

@abrony-mouse

"Please do. I do not have negative experiences with goats per se, but I find the jungle variants to be... Deceptively varied in their approaches to meeting outsiders."

It were much the same with deer. Sometimes you ran into some that were very open and talkative, long as you treated them with respect, and sometimes you ended up in a cage, and had to escape during the dark hours when there were less guards watching you. With goats it could be even worse, which he could attest to from personal experience. As well as via some files from the hospital he still had, which pointed out several injuries that needed time to heal. Which were not much of an issue, considering the size of the cast they had him in for those two months after. Dear Celestia, had he dreaded those almost as much as his bad encounter. The constant itching were near torturous.

In the time they had been chopping away at the foliage, the dark entity would have gotten even closer too. It were only about five minutes from them in fact, at its current pace, so they best get a move on, and sort this soon, or they could well be doomed.

"I shall provide backup, and look out for signs of our stalker. Please be careful when making contact, okay Fuchsia?"

He were concerned for her, but he trusted her, if she judged herself able to do this. It were more the goats whom he had less confidence in, but there were no choice but to see where this would lead, and what her plans may be.

“That's the problem. We don't know where our targets are going” Flinty moaned, “That's why I went them tonight. We can't chase them all over Equestria” Flinty has to become choosing, one plan can lead them to their failures or even downfall. Talking to staff can make clues, and forcing through them can catch the wrath of the authorities.

“Well...I guess we could find a better chance when they're stuck in a place where they have limits to go like a ship but the problem is we don't know if they're going to ride a ship and where will we hide them from the public, a cabin? Or we could just get some coffee and wait for the inn staff to leave”

@Blitz Boom @Kujamih @Monotonality

“Wait if this machine can fly-” Luna began looking for something. Spotting the cockpit, seeing the 'steering wheel' which reminded of the one's she saw from ships, she began climbing, “Does that mean it can fly like Blue?”

Behind them, Blue sneezed.

KARMIC & ATZY

"I really hope so," Atzy sighed softly. She spotted the line the elderly stallion had pointed to and breathed out. "From what I remember, we need bits to actually pay for things," she told Enzo before she spread her wings and glided down to the ground to stand next to Karmic.

"What are you looking at me for? I've got no bits of my own. They were taken when I was thrown into the drunk tank before meeting you," Karmic said with a quick shake of her head.

TWILIGHT SPARKLE

"It's plenty fine for you to say, Sherish," Twilight told the ghostly pony with a small wave of her hoof. She didn't realise she was tired enough from the day's activities to start slurring her words. She shook her head and blinked a couple of times before yawning widely. "S-Sorry. If you must, Lasht, uh, then you can guard me while I sleep. If you don't mind staying in one place all the time and keeping this wonderful Manetid at pay. They've done nothing but help and we know where to go for the third ingredient so I'll worry about that when I wake. Good? Good. That sounds good to me."

AURORA LIGHTS

"At least it's only giggling," Aurora mumbled, the skittish Changeling queen watching it get batted around by Flaxx. "But ... I uh ... I don't think we're meant to be waiting around for some wayward predator to snatch us up. A-Are we?"

DAWN STREAK

"You have two different mothers?" Dawn asked in surprise, glancing over her shoulder at him. She took note of how he walked and decided to keep pace beside the dragon. "Mmm, well, this pony-dragon couple is one of each so I guess we ask for both locations if they know them. Sound fair?"

“Oh, I… I’m so sorry. I didn’t think the conversation would go to a delicate topic."

“Let’s change the subject, yes? To something lighter."

The siblings were unaware of thing getting a lot more serious and heavy, especially considering where the topic of conversation initially started. The two were scrambling for a way to move the conversation along, and were quick to accommodate Rosa’s request to stop talking about the current subject. Fortunately enough, seeing Omen and the crowd asking her to eat a variety of strange items was distraction enough, though not exactly for the right reasons. Some of the things she ate brought even more concern over the siblings.

Rosa directing the siblings’ attention toward the crowd and Omen was a sight to behold. They seemed to be entertained enough with Omen eating things that aren’t safe for consumption, but this was Omen they were watching. Eating bits may be fine, but the two were still unsure if eating poisonous mushrooms, melted candle wax, and broken glass would lead to nasty side effects down the line. Once the crowds began to leave, Lin approached the Ki’Nathar with a worried look on her, though she’d try her best to answer Omen’s query.

“Seems like they thought you could eat anything after seeing you eat food covered in that dragon hot sauce. They might have thought you were some kind of performer who could do things no pony, or creature, could do. Throwing bits your way was likely payment of some kind, like how street musicians got some if a passerby was impressed with the performance.”

“That aside, I am getting worried about some of things you ate. Broken glass, poisonous mushrooms, a burning candle… Are you feeling well? Any odd feelings like discomfort? You could cough up those things like you did with the bag of bits, right?”

It was odd for Lin to ask the last question, as she was aware of Omen’s strange way of using her stomach. However, she wasn’t quite sure if edible food was digested, and if they were, if it would lead to sickness. A poisonous mushroom is already concerning, and so was a piece of broken glass. Stomach storage is one thing, but rupturing internal organs or suddenly falling ill would very likely cause unintended complications.

Ruby just shrugged, giant bugs as food didn't sound too appealing, roasted or not, but that wasn't the only reason why she didn't necessarily want to live too deep underground, she liked to be able to fly freely, and travelling ridiculous lengths in tunnels to do that sounded annoyingly inconvenient.

Having nothing more to say regarding the food conversation, she stayed quiet as Marley spoke about his date, though if she listened was another thing altogether. Charir ignored the conversation since he didn't understand a word that was said, not that there was any indication that they were talking to him anyway.

Charir glanced curiously towards the gardener when they passed him, mostly to see what the pony was doing, since gardens and taking care of them wasn't really something to be concerned about in the homelands, the plants either grew or didn't grow, because as an area it was both great and awful for plants since there was lot of nutrients in the ground, but also lot of fire, it had interesting effects for the evolution of things living there.

Ruby glanced around while Marley got ready, but other than that she didn't really care to do anything besides wait, and Charir, while curious, stayed near the two dragonesses.

"Yes, and if possible, avoid the busiest routes in general, I don't want to have to stop because a pony tries to get too friendly with Charir." "As much as I would enjoy seeing someone getting full dose of dragon fire to their face, that would most likely cause a delay."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scarecrow positioned his head in a way that the ball would go downwards instead of any other direction when it hit his chest, and would again stop it before putting it forward, it didn't really matter where the ball went when it came at him, he didn't feel pain so getting hit didn't matter, and if it looked like he couldn't physically catch it for reason or another, he could always use his magic to stop it.
"That is other thing I have wondered about, why do so many ponies like to come in the forest to risk themselves."  "There are those who have equipped themselves for the worst case scenario, but that's the minority of those who stroll in."

-------------------------------------------------------------
The kobolds didn't comment on the topic of Pinkie's mental stability, but they did make some mental notes for themselves to remember to watch their words around her, it seemed that the mare was well known and liked, so they didn't want to ruin everything by making someone like that upset. They may have not know if they trusted this place yet, but it was good to at least try to stay on their good side for now.

They looked around as they followed the pony, both to know what was around and to be aware of any and all escape routes in case things went south.

When they arrived to the shop, the difference between the two kobolds showed itself, as while Trox stayed calm and just glanced around him, Sheska's reaction was stronger, you could say she was like a kid in a candy shop, as she went around looking at everything. The labels didn't really do anything for them, since they didn't know what half the ingredients were, luckily they weren't allergic to anything.

As Sheska was busy seeing everything, Trox would be the only one speaking "We certainly haven't seen something like this before...." or smelled "...and while I don't know anything about things here, it's clear you have done lot of work." "We can eat anything that's organic, meat, plants, mushrooms....and while we don't eat rocks, it wouldn't be the first time we put one in our mouth to suck it clean from moss and such." desperate times call for desperate means, though it wasn't as bad as it sounded, at least it tasted like something "For the taste, it's bit more challenging to say, we aren't used to having the choice, having always eaten anything that may have been available, so there isn't really any big favorites, there's also likely many flavors here we have never heard of." "But seeing how small most options are, something that doesn't need to be chewed would most likely work the best." they were omnivores, but their teeth were bit closer to that of a carnivore than a herbivore, so while they could chew, it was only down to certain size.

While both of them noticed the picture, neither of the kobolds paid much mind to it, sure it wasn't exactly common in their world either that a dragon and a pony got together, but nobody really had the time to judge anyone for such things since it didn't effect them, and most were just glad that someone was happy. The only reaction to the picture was Sheska going "aww" quietly when she saw it from closer.

"I know not what these *bits* are, that you speak of."

He'd observe the goings on between the others shopping there, and took note of the tiny specks of shiny metal they were giving as payment for the various things that were getting passed along between the equines.

"These bits you speak of, are made of gold? Suits me well. Means I can get rid of this atrocious thing."

He'd reach inside the bone neck adornment that he wore, and pulled out a golden disk. Tiny to him, but it were about the thickness of a small hoof, and the diameter of Atzy. He'd put that to the ground, where it made a noticeable clonk, from hitting the pavement. It had engravings in old runes, and in the center, were the mark of a dragon's head, staring right at you with empty sockets. And just below it, as if the head had been brandished on another designs, were a circle of other runes. These though, were likely familiar to some ponies, as they represented arcane symbols.

"I kept this, as a reminder of my hatred. I have found I do not need it to remember."

"How fascinating. And valuable too, but less so here."

A pony would wander out from the group, and approach them, as she looked over the golden disk with fascination. Others did too of course, but she seemed to know something, judging by the looks in her eyes.

"And you claim to know?"

She did not flinch under Enzo's look. Not even in the slightest, regardless of him leaning in closer.

"Indeed. As an antique dealer, I know my fair share of olden things, and this is quite interesting. Surely you could melt it down to bits, but it is troubling, long business, with little gain. I would be pleased to purchase this from you. Less hassle, and a better profit. Would you like to negotiate? As a sign of good faith, maybe I can cover the meal of your friends first, so that you do not need to feel there is a pressure, hm? You two, feel free to order what you wish. It is my treat."

"Very well, little one, but I wish to know who you are. I am Enzo."

"Ancients smile upon you, Enzo. You can call me Scarcity."

"I'll keep guard then, Twilight. Could uhm... You two maybe go and find the flower? I mean, Last, you can keep check on her, and uh.,..."

"Krrrttxhhx. Looking for a name, spirit? Drones don't just get names. It is earned."

"...Okay. So, you can watch Drone, and keep her away from Twilight, whilst helping her too. That's good, right?"

"Hmph. Fine, but do not try something, insect."

"Xthhlzr. I remember my place, maiden. Remember yours."

The two of them would wander off, whilst keep a suspicious look on each other all the while. They were likely not going to have an overly fun trip, but at least this would give Twilight some time to sleep. Hopefully. Unless somepony came running to the castle, screaming emergency about a large bug creature invading them. Cherish would have to try and keep them away if that were. Twilight needed to recharge her batteries.

@Sekel

"Hehe, now what fun would it be if you got taken by a predator? Nonono, I have more fun plans than that."

At this point, the next bash from Flaxxy, caused the creature to implode upon itself, and vanish, with a cackling, childish laughter wafting through the air.

"Might I suggest that we get out of this forest, post hate? I have little urge to find what games that one have in mind."

"I second that. Ain't keen on figuring out what next she'll be whomping at my noggin."

Flaxxy nodded too, and would take charge as they moved forward, further into the forest. Since at this point, they couldn't go back where they came from. Literally, the path behind them had vanished, and there were only thick brush left. Seemed like the draconequus had done a few tricks while they had been distracted, and left them with no choice, but to move forward. They'd either reach Ponyville, or they'd be trapped in whatever game she had planned for an untold amount of time.

"Stay close, aight Aurora? We'll get through this easier if we don't lose track of one another here. Thinking *divide and conquer* ain't a term that's exactly unknown to those wonky creatures. And try to keep cool, best you can. They thrive on causing confusion and mess with your head. The more you can keep level, the better. Might mean she'll get bored eventually, if we're lucky."

@EQ_Theta

Omen did not answer at first, but just stood and seemingly played statue. Then suddenly, she'd open her maw up like a trash can, and expand her tongue with a few of the things she had eaten wrapped up. Including some half digested glass, before it went down her gullet again.

"Master Discord said things about food. *It is easier to have you able to eat everything, than teach you what is and is not food*.

He also said *Eat this* many times, and gave me things. Tried bugs and things too, but Mother says no. Eating creatures are not allowed."

"What about previously living things, such as ground beef?"

"Master Discord said he wanted me to be act like a pony. Ponies do not eat meat."

So she did have a certain degree of choice in the matter, though she could eat meat. Rosa suspected that it were not just because ponies did not eat meat, that she didn't do it though. It might also be so that she knew for sure, that Mother's words on not eating creatures, were followed in full. If you didn't eat meat, there were no chance of it happening, so it must have seemed logical to Omen to go that route. Which were something that Rosa would agree on, as it were more fitting for an equine, and nuances were a troublesome thing for Omen, in her current state. Simpler to just go for this, than having to evaluate a lot of various factors.

"How do you decide what gets digested, if I may ask?"

"One stomach is for hiding things. Others are for eating."

"Well, at least it seems well designed, all things considered."

Rosa would crumble up the paper from his burrito, and toss it in a nearby trash can. His meal were finished for now, and as such, he'd scan around them, and look for the potential game he had in mind. Which wouldn't take long, as it were but a short walk from them. There were a line of course, but if they braved that one, and waited their turn, they'd be able to be faced with the simplistic, yet fun little game.

It was very simple too: There were a ling of clown mouths, where they'd open and close at a slow pace, and there were the squirt guns, formed like large carrots, to be more foal friendly. Next tot he clown heads, would come a balloon on, and if they saw how others were playing, it seemed that the more water got into the mouth of the clown you were aiming at, the more it grew, until finally, one of them blew. That were how you determined the winner, and then subsequent second, third, etc. place.

There were no prizes here. It were just all fun and competition.

@Catpone Cerberus

"Yes, I think it would indeed draw less attention our way, if we avoid setting others on fire in public."

Marley's delivery on that were so dry, that the words itself might well catch on fire, though it did get a small smirk out of Leviathan. It were an amusing little interaction between the two dragons in her mind, though it were true. They were best in not causing potential issues, such as setting someone on fire. It would draw in the guard, then they had to fight them off- It'd just be a giant waste of time. Plus, she enjoyed being in this country, without having her picture on Equestria's Most Wanted. She had better things to do, than hide from the law. She wasn't the Hide Hunter, or other crazies like him.

Marley would set the course, and pull the wagon along well. Seemed like he had some muscle after all, though it did also help that the wagon were enchanted to make it lighter. Never worth it to get back injuries, and they often had heavy loads. Best to make it simple, and possible to carry more things.

Their route would be mostly the same as the one to get here, though he'd take them down some larger roads too, that had a surprising lac of beings there as well. As he explained it, this time of day, there weren't a whole lot to do in that district, so it made for a solid thing to be on, to get out of the eye of most.

They would not run into any that took contact with them either. Except for one inebriated stallion, that wobbled closer, and seemed like he wanted to go and pet Charir. He'd get picked up by a guard first though, that talked to him about needing to get back in the drunk tank again.

They'd soon be back at the gate they had entered from, where the same guards stood there, and took care of the station. Though they had to wait a bit, as a pair of griffons were riding into town. One of them sitting on a huge stack of animal hides, while the other one were talking with the head guard. The other two were poking about in the stack, just to check if there were contrabands. They did not seem pleased by needing to touch the hides.

Their wagon were drawn by a bored looking ox, currently enjoying itself a small bag of oaths, while this were going on.

"Oh, hey, you again. Please wait a little more, we're just inspecting this, and then we'll be right with you."

@Catpone Cerberus

"There's a lot reasons really. Some are there because they need some of the herbs. Others go there to visit some of the loners we have that lives out there, or Zecora, or to buy firework from that weird filly."

"I like Blitz. She makes the best fireworks."

"Maybe, but she's too dangerous to be alone. Best that that other one picked her up."

The colt seemed vey briefly sad about that, as he did like the fireworks, but perked up quickly. There were other places to get it from, and she had promised she'd still come around with stuff now and again, so that everypony could still smile.

"Anyway, there are also just those who likes a walk in the forest, and don't think it will be so bad. It's not constant that there's attacks, if you stay on the path, and mostly we can outrun the predators. Except for the bears, but they tend to just try and scare others away, and there's not enough that's dumb enough to stay after that sort of warning roar."

The ball game would go on a little more, until the mother would pick up the ball, and look around at the family, and their three guests.

"I hate to cut it short, but we do need to get home and prepare for later. It's been lovely to meet you three. Hopefully another time."

She'd reach a hoof forth, and Lyriel would tentatively take the hoof shake. She weren't familiar with this gesture entirely yet, so at times, it did not look smoothly. It were helping though, a little by little.

"Likewise. Earth Mother smile upon you all."

The filly looked the saddest that this were ending, but would reluctantly wander closer, and then reach the satisfied looking bunny up towards Lyriel. Though her eyes seemed to radiate *Do you have to take him?*.

Lyriel would whisper her grassy tone to the bunny, that squeaked back here and there, until she could nod her head.

"Locust likes your company. If your parents agree, he wouldn't mind staying with you, long as he can still roam. He is still of the wilds, and cages does not suit him well."

There'd be a bit of back and forth between the excited filly and the parents, but they had a hard time arguing against basically everypony being on the side of the filly. Including her brother and grandmother, so they'd give in. Though Rancher had to take care of him.

So he'd go up and ride on her back as they moved along, with Rancher looking as if she were floating on a cloud, and her brother going over to pet the bunny too.

They'd start to pack up then. If Scarecrow had more to say or do, now would be a good time.

@Catpone Cerberus

"So nothing too solid, and if it is small pieces, prioritize things that doesn't need to be chewed? That helps some. Dragon candy can be taken away, same with some flavor rocks, and toffee. If chewing is an issue, it can be a mess. Hmm... Never hurts to try though... I'll go grab a few things here and there, and you can try that out."

She'd go whistling towards the mixing cabinet, and fill a small box with a few things here and then. Then go towards the back, where she could take a few loose items and try that out. Though before she went far, she'd note the attention given towards the picture, and take into consideration as well, what Sheska had said at the sight of it. Something which gave her a happier smile, on her already pleased face.

"He's lovely right? His name is Benny. We met when he picked up a letter in a flask I had tossed into the sea, to try and get some pen pals from far away. It landed in the Dragon Isles, and things just took off from there. He might be around later, if you're lucky. He just had to go and salve his hands. He had an accident with a blade. Mean looking cut, but he says he saved somepony by grabbing it, so I'm just happy the story wasn't worse."

"And you are coupling?"

"I know the stigma, and that I'll be dead long, long before he is, but love doesn't really care about things like that, and he's the sweetest creature I've ever known. I could talk about him for days... *sigh* But I should get the samples first. Be right back."

As she turned around and left for the back room, Onache's horn would glow briefly, though the actions of the pony did not seem to change at all.

"...Peculiar, she seems sincere. Very odd, but I suppose it is none of my business."

She did not approve, but she did not see a reason to try and interfere. Not that anything she did could work either. Changelings could do many things with emotions, but as the Canterlot attack had proven, true love were not something they could control. They could work around it, and siphon of it, but when it came down to it, true love could break through any control they might briefly attain.

Though mostly, she did not think of this as not doing it because she couldn't make it last, as much as simply not having a reason to do something about it. It were none of her business, and she gained nothing by touching it, so why not simply let them live their life in peace?

it would not be long before she returned with a platter, showing off various candies in many a shape. Most were not large, wit the biggest being some cubes of hard toffee. One being black, the other brown, and then one striped, with the middle stripe being milky looking.

"We got a little of everything. Toffee, chocolate, gummies, pop rocks, bars, licorice, and so on. Try it out, see what you think. I also have this one for changelings. I dunno why, but I felt like that one were worth taking in too."

She'd point at one formed like a swirly droplet, in a pretty, scarlet red color. It appeared to be chocolate, though none would get a chance to try that, before Onache lifted that up with her magic.

"I will test that. It seems fitting."

"Oh, you're a changeling? Huh... Usually they're not that tall. Oh well, means it can be tested. Lemme know how it tastes."

Onache would do so soon, but for now, it were time for Sheska and Trox to try out some things.

(Get creative if you like. All sorts of weird things)

@Monotonality

"It sounds like the nap helped you a lot. You're a lot more positive and happy when you're well rested."

It might be more than that too, but she'd try and keep it simple, instead of starting to guess on things. Best in her mind, to just take note of his much brighter, figuratively speaking, Magnolia were now, compared to how it had been thus far. She looked like she were ready to take on the night, and bask in the light of the lamppost, and longing looks of every stallion that laid their eyes upon her. Maybe she'd meet someone already tonight, who knew? Perhaps not something that lasted, but she wouldn't judge Magnolia on it, if it were. Sometimes, things simply just didn't work, for a variety of reasons.

Though she were probably thinking a silly bit far ahead here. Best to think of this as having a nice walk in town, and then see what the night would bring them.

She'd walk over to the window, and look out on the town, as the moon rose high, and the lamps started to light up. It cast a beautiful glow on the streets, as they started to lessen in traffic from the various inhabitants, and passer-throughs. Sure it wouldn't exactly be peaceful, but it were a good deal more that, than in the day hours, once they got closer.

"A whole town full of possibilities... Don't know if finding a trinket like you say is going to be easy, but it's a big place. I'm sure we can find a friendship medallion of some kind, somewhere out there. I best take on my saddlebag then. Is there something you need to do before we leave? I suppose, a shower isn't needed, considering what you can, but I'm not sure if you have any sort of rituals to do when you wake up. Stretches perhaps? I have done what I needed to do, so I'm ready when you are.

...Would it be okay if we found a late night cafe of some kind later too? I'd like to try and get a nice herbal tea. It's been a long time."

====================================================

@Windy Breeze

"It not work, miss. Inn always have staff there. Maybe can catch one leaving later, and ask things? But then they talk. If they not come back, others come looking. Maybe if we had bug pony? They go poof, and look like others. They can go see and hear things. Many, many things, everywhere.

If they try go with boat, only ferry. Wonderbolt famous, not enough to just buy boat, no? Can track times, see when it might go. Only cover that though. If ponies try to fly out, it not help at all.

...Should I go ask mistress if she knows something?"

It would likely not look good on the team if Pop had to go and do that, and might have some backlash, as she'd then know they had lost track of them to some degree, but Pop weren't one who made decisions. She were a follower, and needed direction, and if Flinty couldn't provide that, she may have to go and ask it from one that at least wouldn't have bad things happen to her. The rest... Maybe not so much.

Everything can be manipulated and altered you just have to have the means and methods to do it. But as you see I am a jet since your friends here wanted me to be." a wide grin appeared on the jet's nose cone, grinning at Molotov. If he would look closely, it was just the paint shifting.

"It's fancy alright, but honestly, more impressed with the way your shifting works, than what you turned into. I mean, flying machine? Obviously cool, but molecular transformation, to a point where you can even edit what your biological mass is made off? Now That is what I can a fancy sight. Even the changelings can't get that far. If they go turn into something metal, it's actual metal, not some sorta fleshy version, or made of webbing. I could mention a dozen or so professors that would've loved to study you, just off the top of my head."

Sweden, yes. Sweden is a Nordic country. They are very similar in language, culture, and geographical location to Finland, Iceland, Greenland, Norway, and Denmark. From what your saying there, Grautland? Closest thing to that in my world would be Scotland, but if you talk of druids, that's more similar to the Celtics. The Celtic nations are Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, as well as Brittany. While they don't use druids anymore, they had prominent druids in their long histories that extend back thousands of years in years past."

"Harromark sounds a bit like that Denmark one, and they're close, so might be that's the equivalent? We'll check the map later on, eh? Get ourselves sorted on this whole shebang. Will say though, that your place have some weird names for their countries. Ireland sounds funny though. Like the whole place got a real temper issue. Hah!"

Cali laughed at the reaction she got. "I mean hey, if you want me to find something else I suppose I can. If you wanna work on that you can go right ahead. I could turn myself into an excavator or something and find everything you need for your...project there." she laughed rather heartedly at that.

Molotov waived dismissively, and started to look around the piles, taking out a few pieces here and there, and gather them up in a pile.

"Nono, I'm perfectly fine here. You folks just do... Whatever. I gotta be able to do some things by myself here, right? Can't end up relying on you for for everything, Cali, or I'll just look like a poser.."

And he were doing pretty well just far. He had just about scavenged the parts he'd nee for a new fuel system for example, and he had just started. Sure sure, he'd need to reforge some of these things, but y'know. Details. It were up to him to smack all the things together, and get them to work in the long run. And when that were done, probably donate it to the train station in Canterlot. He could probably write it off his taxes that way, and they'd have a new one to tinker with. All good for 'em all, right?

Hmm... Maybe he could even try and make it solar powered? Interesting. He'd have to toy with a prototype there, but if he could make it at least partially run by sunlight, it could well be cutting at least half of its biodiesel need. That's be pretty nice.

To Blitz she'd look to the excited filly. The metal was how you'd expect a jet to be. Cold, smooth, and almost perfectly well formed. "What you are seeing here is a Jet. These are machines people of the world travel about in. Well this here is a military style jet. Used in wars. These things can go multiple times the speed of sound and fly to the edge of the atmosphere for all intense of purposes. Extremely manurable, fast, and deadly. Have at it, Blitz! Look at anything on this jet you want, I don't mind!" Cali said in a rather cheerful manner, enjoying the reactions she was getting.

Blitz listened in to some extend, as she battered around, and ran her hooves over the shiny, shiny exterior of the jet. Though she did have some big eyes, and even a bit of a frown when she heard what this sort of thing were used for.

"They made a pretty shiny thing that flies, and uses it to hurt others? That's dumb. You should make things to help, and make lots of smiles. Whoever made this is a dumb smart thingie."

Sure she loved the machine itself, and the tech were amazing - Hay, looking at the jet engines were making her heart flutter, and her head start to spin some ideas - but she did not like war. She believed firmly that advancing technology, should be used to help others, not hurt them, unless they were really, really bad. Sure she made bombs, and yes, some of them could blow straight up caves into mountains, but they were meant to make tunnels, or clear areas out where they needed the space for other things. Maybe mining too, but war? Nuhuh. If anypony asked her to make things that were designed specifically to do that, she would. Stuff to defend others... maybe? The sound thingie she had accidentally made, when she tried to fix the music box she found some months ago, did work like that. Big blastwave, knocking stuff away. That sorta self defense seemed okay, right?

Few hours on this, so we get to know one another better, and sort out what to expect from one another, and then we're better prepared to tackle the big thing. I'm learning tons already, and getting some ideas how that could help us when we got to Center Zero.

Now, are you gonna be a real sourpuss, or are you gonna come over here, and help me get that broken furnace out over there? Could use a hoof to pull it out, while I keep the stack flowing up, and then sink it properly, without it all crashing down on us. A little tender loving, and that furnace there could prove a good energy container. That round form's just perfect for what I got in mind."

@Blitz Boom

“Discord probably had his bases covered. One for storage sounds good, but I’m not so sure about the others. Going by what you just ate, are you sure you aren’t feeling sick?”

“Probably might not notice, especially if eating fire and rocks doesn’t lead to anything. The glass here doesn’t look too pretty, though. Either way, Omen, if you start feeling uneasy or sick, let us know and we’ll take a look at you, okay?”

Eating living creatures, or once living creatures, is forbidden to Omen, which is already a good enough sign for the siblings. No one will need to worry about cannibalism. It might come into conflict with the longma diet, especially because it includes freshwater fish, but there is plenty of edible vegetation in the forest that it wouldn’t be an issue. The longma very likely knew more about the plants they could and couldn’t eat compared to fish. Only thing certain is that they couldn’t take more than they needed.

By then, the siblings returned to their meals, finishing what they were eating and disposing of the garbage before following Rosa. Not too far away was the water pistol game booth, and a line that didn’t seem too long. It was a good time to observe the other visitors and see how the game is played. All things considered, this one seemed simple enough, and it didn’t involve moving around a lot.

“This game looks fun. Keep aiming straight at the mouth and fill a balloon until it pops. You ready to win this one, brother? Doesn’t look like there are prizes here.”

“A win here and we’ll all be even. One win each from various games this evening! If anything, I have win back my dignity, which means I gotta work for my victory!”

“Hear that, Rosa? Omen? Sounds like Sen’s craving some competition! No going easy on this one.”

Light pulled his face from frustration.

"....fine.....why use a furnace for energy? It waste more energy than other sources..."

Light took the furnace up with one swing, flinging everything near or around.

" Ahmm.... Sorry about that." Light said as the debris crash down on them.

Light only placed a force field on Blitz.

Molotov dropped the work he were doing soon as he heard Cali flare up. He should've known somepony as unstable of nature would have some sort of trigger, and this one? He should've seen coming. Though this violently, told him that there were a certain degree of familiarity with the notion of tests, and being studied. He wasn't the first to say it, and something told him, that others had not kept it at words alone. Not with a reaction this strong.

As she were flaring up too now - thankfully after she had let Blitz go away first, who were now watching things unfold curiously - he had to man up, and take a stab at sorting this out. Cause either he'd do something here, or she'd probably end up melting the scrap around them, and getting them all killed. Since he'd prefer to stay alive, he'd try and sort this little misunderstanding out, and do so with a straight face and serious tone. Might be it'd still get him killed though, but he had to try and get this lady to calm herself.

"Hey! Calm down, would you, Cali? I'm saying I know some who Would have liked to do it. And they're all probably dead already. And even if they weren't, we're not savages here. We'd never put anypony though any sorts of tests without full permission. You don't want it? Means that nopony is gonna try. And if they even try to speak up about wanting to still give it a bash, or Celestia forbids, tries to keep somepony trapped to experiment on them, they'd be banished from any scientific community in this, and most other countries, and lose their license.

Want proof? Look at my wings. Know how they got there? Because I made them, and so I took the risks in testing them out, on myself. After a half year of psychological evaluations, and twenty written consent forms to the surgeon who helped me implant everything. I did this to myself, instead of trying it on anypony else. Mostly because we have standards, and won't tolerate consent being broken, and because I'm a real scientist. And as one, I won't let another take the risks this involves, or get hurt by my desire to tinker. Just like any scientist worth their salt wouldn't. One single no from you against any request, and nopony would try anything on so much as a hair of yours, or there'd be strict consequences. And that's if you don't just handle 'em yourself, since clearly, you're powerful enough to bat away a excited dork with a syringe."

He'd take a step closer, and look at her with a softer look, than the determined one he had used thus far, as he kept talking, and silently prayed that he wasn't gonna be set on fire.

"I didn't call you friend before for nothing, Cali. I think of you as one, and I wouldn't tell you tall tales, or cause you harm. That ain't what friends do to one another, right?

If you feel like you have to go, that's up to you. Even if I could stop you, I wouldn't try. But please, understand that nopony here's gonna try something funny with you. Especially not me. I'm your pal after all. I'm on your side, 100%.

Maybe you wanna check the mansion for a little break here, and think about things? If that is, it's about 340 kilometers to the north west. You'll see the barricade around it, before the mansion itself."

"Shiny lady is my friend too."

Blitz would jump over and try to hug the irate creature, but Light currently had her in a protective bubble, and she didn't know how to break it, so she were more or less just running against it, like a bug to a lightbulb.

The debris going around due to Light's inability to keep things from falling down here and there, combined with Molotov not being able to keep it all under control, as he had something to do here, would also cause a few smaller pieces to fall down. Including a bolt that hit him right on the noggin, and made him go "Tartarus that hurt. Aaaauw. So not the right time for that."

he'd be rubbing his head, were a bump were already forming. That one were gonna be felt for a while, he'd wager. Urgh... Of all the times for this to happen, why now? He could ask the same about the other things about to fall, as his focus had wavered a bit there, but he hadn't noticed the few dozen minor things about to descend upon them in a few seconds. Thankfully nothing big had fallen down, but that may change, if he got hit much more, and lost consciousness. They'd be a bit in trouble then. Except for Blitz, seemingly.

"What does sick feel like?"

"Think of it like this: If you feel like throwing up what you ate, because it isn't sitting well with you, or your stomachs start to.... Actually, just focus on the former. I forgot your pain tolerance for a moment."

That meaning mostly that it were so abnormally high, that it were questionable of Omen even could feel pain. At least in the traditional sense of the word. Sure she seemed able to eat and digest basically anything she wished to, but it could not be simple to take shards of glass, or pure fire down your throat, and not feel something, lest something were wrong with her pain sensors. Likely another one of Discord's *design benefits*, though it did deprive her of much of what were needed, to understand feelings too. Discord had likely not done this with any kind of malice in mind, but had more likely not thought of it, or deemed it unimportant. Certainly something Rosa would like to have words with him about, yet it'd be some time before he had the chance. Sen and Lin had likely done so at that point, if they did not already.

"Food stays down, so I am not sick. I understand."

There were a lot more to it, but ergh... One step at a time here, considering there were tomes upon tomes of symptoms, related to being sick. If they tried to feed her all of it, he'd wager they would get through about three pages, before she shut down for a month.

"That will do for now though. But if you feel like it does not sit well, just dispose of it.

...Though if I might ask, have you eaten glass before?"

"Yes. Broken building, long time ago, ponies said they needed to get the glass away. Broken pieces. Dangerous they said. So I ate it. I eat it, it can not hurt the ponies, yes? What I thought. They got scared. Ran away, while I ate. I found them later, when I was done. They said thank you, and asked me to leave, with shaking voices. Very strange."

Omen had no concept oof her own emotions, yet that was not the bad part really. It were that she didn't understand others, and especially, when it came to being afraid of her. Sure if you got to know her, you'd realize that she were utterly harmless, and just an eternally curious being, but the way many did meet her, creeped them out, and at times, even caused them to be terrified of her. Yet she didn't understand that. She just thought they were acting weird, and the many ways ponies could be weird to her, were not a short list, so it were hard for her to classify a reaction to a specific emotion.

"Yes, very... Oh look, the line is ending soon. How fortuitous."

Not his best segway, but he'd take it, as they finally got to the front of the line, after a gangly stallion had given a week toot and hoof raise, after winning the game against his companions. They had to wait a bit for new balloons to be added after that, but it wouldn't take long, and the pink and green-dressed thestral mare running it would soon spin around, and look at them with a big grin plastered on her face. Just before giving her own clown nose a little honk. Seemed like she were living into this. Complete with makeup, and a puffy, blue wig.

"Hello hello, what can I do for you? Feeling like a good game?"

"Yes, that is the meaning of our arrival indeed."

"Fancy talker, aren't you? Well, we got it all set. The squirters are set in place, and shoots water when you press the big button. Angle the gun right, press the right amount to get the right pressure, and see who first fills up their balloon. May the best creature win."

Omen would pay the few bits this cost, and they could stand in place. The rules were simple, and so were the game, but it came down to who would adjust their aim correctly first, more than likely. Which would not be Omen, as she were slow to adapt correctly, but she'd try at least. Rosa were the competition, but they may find they still had a chance, as he would need a bit of trial and error. Sen would have a fair chance, if he adapted fast.

"Well we have a good reason to go for this in that case. May the best thestral win, Sen."

He'd give the longma a little smirk, and get set at his station. Ten seconds after this, they'd start. As for the best setting, it usually came down to about two thirds of a push down, and a fair angle, to make the water go into the mouth like a rainbow. Going straight on at full power, tended to make a lot of it not actually go in, but splash back out. A lot of eager beings fell for this part, sadly.

"I don't need to shower. I have never gotten my body wet in well, a very long time. Perhaps years considering what I can do but I might as well 'get clean' if you will..." she'd smirk sly. Her horn glowed with a pink-ish glow as her body took the form of that of a flowing mist. The mist swirled and rose through the air. Almost as if doing stretches of its own before swirling around Zeehva's hooves in a vaguely snake ish shape. It was a cool, almost soothing manner of touch. A bit too cold though. Magnolia then re-assumed her form across her. She opened up the door and took a few steps out.

"Reminds me of the cold, winter wind where I grew up."

Zeehva would have run her hoof over the cold wind, as it ran her over. A slight chill spreading on her hooves from the feeling. Nothing that looked like something she had seen, prior to meeting Magnolia, but the feeling of cold wind brushing by her hooves, were very familiar. Even down to how it seemed to almost cling to her. Like snow brushing against her fur... It had been a while since she had felt this, but it were oddly comforting, for a brief moment.

Yet as it began, so would it end, and Magnolia would manifest herself again, all *stretched* out, she could imagine. Must be hard having strained muscles, when you could dissipate, and gather yourself up again, just how it should be. A peculiar power, the more she saw of it, but she could see the benefits. Hopefully it wouldn't have nasty side effects though.

On 2021-05-07 at 1:27 AM, Magnolia said:

"I was always one for the night, I would have welcomed Nightmare Moon. I know that's probably not a 'good' thing to say, but I truly love the night." she spoke more quietly there, so nobody would overhear. When Zeehva stepped forward, she'd follow her outside the hotel.

"Sounds like we have a plan for tonight then."

Zeehva would open the window, and draw in a deep breath of the crisp, autumn air. Not that cold yet, but she could feel it being on the fresher side certainly, compared to the humid summer nights.

"It's not easy to appreciate something, that is always there. had Nightmare Moon won, there would be only the night, and it would lose its charm. I like it best that there are something to look forward to. Just as I do this trip we shall depart upon. Let's see what the night brings us, shall we?"

Zeehva would close the window again, and turn towards Magnolia with a smile on her face, before she began the exit. They'd find the inn rather silent up here, yet as they got downstairs, would find that there were a fair bit of life in the bar, with the burly bartender too busy to really even notice them. Though someone else did, who'd hang down like a bat pony as they went towards the exit, and nearly made Zeehva jump up into the roof.

"Good evening, night birds. Off for a stroll I take it? Make sure to watch your room key, okay? Especially if you're going to be out late for your little... Trip. We close down after 1, so if you lose it, and get back late, you'll need to sleep outside until the morning. As well as pay a fine for losing it. But I'm sure you'll make sure to take good care of it. As well as each other. Won't you? Hmhm. I hope you'll have a good night, ladies."

Truth be told, Fishbone didn't just lurk near the ceiling because she liked to spook others. Sure, that were a factor too, but she were a wind aligned dragon. It felt unsettling to her, if she could not look down upon others for an extended period of time. This helped soothe her mind, though she still had to go and fly around at times, during the day. Her variation were not meant to linger near the ground for too long. Much like pegasi really. Which were why she tended to get along best with those. They had a kinship of sorts.

As for these two though, she'd just give a wink, and a little pull of the tongue towards Magnolia, as a goodbye, lest they had something else to say, and they could freely wander into the edge of town.

(Feel free to make up environments in town. I do the same)
