I think that's just an anime style type thing.

Except the eyes aren't drawn over the hair in that picture. Notice the eye on the right (i.e. the character's left). The corner of the eye furthest from her nose. It's a pale grey where it intersects with her hair, and a darker grey where there is no overlap. To me, it's suggesting that her hair is translucent. The hair is over the eye, but you can partly see the eye through the hair.

 

There's the same effect on the other eye too.

When I saw clips from Rainbow Rocks I had a feeling that Sunset Shimmer was gonna be the best thing about it. After seeing the film it's good to know that I was right

Just literally signed up. I have to Say, Sunset Shimmer (and a little bit of Sonata) is what really made Rainbow Rocks one of the best MLP things since season 4. And I think it's thanks to her that we might see the possibility of an Equestria Girls 3.

If that were a series... I would buy every episode, dvd and deleted scene even if im low on cash =P

As anything with sunny in it is priceless
