They still do, just not for current sockets. Would be somewhat redundant, I suppose, considering all most modern CPUs tend to have those IGPUs attached to them.

Higher-end AMDs like the 8xxx line don't, I guess that's because they assume people are going to be pairing them with a dedicated GPU for gaming and its worth taking up space on the chip for it.

Skyrim is really pretty, even without mods and not quite maxed out(I have the shadow and distant object qaulity on high instead of Ultra and no AA)

That cooler looks pretty nice.

Worked on my cabling a bit, I can now say that I'm much less ashamed with how it looks.

Those velcro straps come in handy so much, I'm pretty glad to see other case manufacturers starting to adopt them  :adorkable:

You think your cable management is shameful, my computer is pre built, so yeah, I haven't even bothered to touch(Partially because I don't know if i could really do better tbh without messing it up) but yeah, it's quite a mess to say the least.

I actually have an APU myself, and it's ok I guess, It's not like total crap, but it won't run a lot of games as smooth as I like (Most notably Skyrim, which it runs at like 20-30 or so frames average depending on what's going on(medium settings). I can run less demanding stuff at more stable framerates usually, but I definitely would like to have a more powerful card, and am in the process of getting one.  I know I could've done better, but my computer is a prebuilt, and yes I know, I should've built it myself, and I almost did, so close to deciding to, but I got lazy and went with the prebuilt partly because I also knew like hardly anything when it came to computers when I bought this computer, I was just tired of the piece of crap I had to use for probably 6 months after my Laptop died(Which was a pretty good computer, for a laptop I guess.) You would be too if you couldn't play half of anything at any kind of resonable framerate, did I mention said computer had 2 gigs of ram? 2!... >_>.

So yeah, at the time my computer looked like my shinning reward of an amazing beast computer, and while I do like it, I realize I could have done better, oh well.

Jezz, I got really long winded there, sorry ;p.

Skyrim looks pretty darn even on medium settings just because of the scenery to it. I like it especially so with mods like pure weather for example(pure weather doesn't even take a hit on your FPS either, so a plus.)

Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig!

Skyrim looks pretty glorious with an ENB mod installed.

That one is the Grim and Somber ENB, which I would have kept if it didn't make my game have such terrible rendering issues.

I'm up to level 6 and 3500 coins in Skyrim, hopefully I'll get the rest saved up and get my house in Whiterun tonight.

Well, I figured out what was wrong with my ENB. I had to disable anti-aliasing. Still getting around 41FPS with it installed, but I kinda grew used to playing Skyrim with that frame rate xP

Honestly, the first thing I've been doing with newer games I can't quite max out is turning all AA off and going from there(because I really haven't noticed it affecting to much on most new games besides killing the FPS)

Shadow of Mordor's high textures work on a 2GB GPU.

Most I've seen is 2043MB, but it tends to hover around 1970MB. Seeing no negative performance impacts on my 760 either.

So, the recommended specs are full of bullshit, then?

Pretty much, yeah. Both Medium and High work on 2GB GPUs while Ultra works on 4GB ones. I'd still recommend Low if you have a 1GB GPU tho.

What would you recommend on a 750ti with a FX-8320 and 8GB or RAM?

Those must be some crazy textures. I never thought 3 gigs would be saturated at only 1080p. Heck, I remember back in the day the high end cards had 512 MB, and anything above that was ludicrous.

Oh cool! My calculator should be able to run that game!

Was that sarcasm?

I can't tell if it was or you've mistaken the 780 for something that's NOT a $500 card.

My calculator is better than a 780. It has a 33 MHz processor, 128 kbits of ram, and a 240x160 px screen. That's plenty good enough.sT1K6xS.png

I'm kidding of course.

Got my 970 in today. Threw on a quick OC (+120 core/+500 mem) and broke 10,000 in Fire Strike. Obligatory GPU-Z shot below running Unigine Valley.

post-26071-0-64469900-1417833885.png

Not the best ASIC quality, ~63% but still happy with it overall. No coil whine and this is all using the stock fan curve. I believe the new EVGA ACX 2.0 firmware keeps the fans off until about 65 C.

33% fan speed at load, 73 C. Heh, 30% was my idle fan speed on the old 670. :P

Getting about 3.6 GB of memory used in FC4, which is now playable on the "NVIDIA" setting. Looks amazing even if there is kind of a dream-like haze painted over the scene.

I'm having this issue where Afterburner's overlay only seems to work in Skyrim when it feels like it(I got it working ONCE but it stopped again after the game hiccuped and alt-tabbed itself)

Hey guys, a forum I know of is giving away FREE copies of The Crew. Now, whether you're into racing games or not is another subject, but you cannot deny a free 60 dollar game is something that can't be passed up. I'll put the URL below.

How do we go about getting it?

Register and make a post advertising it, then provide proof on the giveaway thread. Here's the giveaway thread itself.

Seems a little convoluted, especially the "signing up for a forum probably never use" part.
