I would go with the assumption that she's a fictional character and that somewhere out there, there's an actrice who plays as Daring Do in movies. (You know, just like Indie.)

Truth is, that it's much like a particle with an uncollapsed state.

 

We can make all the assumptions we want, but we won't really know until the show actually releases canon on it, and the canon won't even exist until they release an episode that mentions it
