Yeah, I'm still a fan of Spyro. After all, the Spyro the Dragon series were my childhood games. I kinda like the Legends series too. Used to write Spyro fanfics and I still do though less regularly. What about you?

Spyro 2 is my favorite Playstation game ever. The worlds were cool/cute/awesome, the main boss Ripto was awesome, the super powerups were a nice touch. Maybe one day I'll go back in and collect all the orbs. Still missing that one where you sneak and spy on the giant.

I was a massive Spyro fan back in the days of the original Playstation games. Playing those games was some of the most fun that I have ever had on a console.

 

However, most of the recent games have left a bad taste in my mouth. The modern Spyro is completely different from the one that I started out with. And, I am very grumpy about the recent changes to the character model.

Definitely a fan of Spyro. Old and Legends Spyro. I haven't played Skylanders yet though.

 

Year of the Dragon is my favorite of the originals and A New Beginning is my favorite of the Legends series (though I haven't played Dawn of the Dragon yet)

Generally that happens to a lot of people. Gotta remember that it's from an era long before the PS2 even came out. But as far as PS1 graphics go they aren't horrible. At least they are smooth enough and don't look grainy or flushed out.

I've played Spyro the Dragon, Spyro: Ripto's Rage, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, and...uh...the DS and GBA ones. The original, Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragon were absolutely amazing, Enter the Dragonfly was still pretty decent I thought, and the portables were...under my expectations. Old Spyro is best Spyro, is what I'm trying to say, I guess. I haven't played Skylanders and don't plan on it. The ads actually made me want to play it less. I don't know how the game itself plays, so I can't say anything about that, but new Spyro doesn't look...like Spyro to me. I dunno. But yeah, the original few games were and still are the shit.

I had a few Spyro games for my gameboy but I never really got into it. I was more of a Pokemon sorta kid.

I used to be. I used to LOVE to play him on the Playstation 1, and one of his games on the Gamecube (it was one of the first Gamecube games I got), but I lost the GC game and my PS1 is broken. So I don't care anymore.

Absolutely. I LOVE the original Spyro trilogy, but I actually also like the new Spyro who was with Cynder and Malefor and such.

 

The PS1 Spyro I loved because of the gameplay. The PS2 Spyro I love because of the story, even though I never actually played through any of those games.

I got a free skylanders figurine on some digi expo thing few months back. It has been sitting on my desk ever since.

Yeah, but the first three games are obviously the best ones. I used to play the first one as a kid and I loved that game.

BTW, Did you know Spyro was originally supposed to be green, but that would have blended in too much with the grass in the homeworld, so they changed it to purple.

Still a fan of Spyro because of its classic series on the PS1. The PS2 games of Spyro didn't hyped me up a lot, and I loved Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage on the PS3, and have beaten it after several years. It was awesome.
