MLP Forums Banner Contest IV - Baby It's Cold Outside

It’s that time to launch yet a new banner contest, and this month we are going to change up a few things.

 

To say that the staff has been impressed with the quality of the banners that you guys have been making is an understatement. We wrestled with a way to showcase more of the banners which is why we have decided to rotate them weekly. Keep it up.

There will be no voting for this round of banners. All entries will be reviewed by staff and selected for overall quality and adherence to the theme.

Submit your entry via PM to Aquila by the deadline listed below. The four winning banners will be displayed for all to see and rotated weekly. 

If you're new to the banner-making scene, check out this thread and this FAQ. In short, banners should be around 1000x255 pixels and saved as a .png file.

Due Date: Sunday, November 30th 11:59 PM (EDT)
 

 

General Rules

-One entry per member

-All entries must adhere to the current theme

-Anyone who wishes to edit an entry that has already been sent may due so, so long as the revised version is submitted before the due date.

-All entries must have the name of the forums, MLP Forums, as well as being pony-centric and related to the show in some way. That being said, feel free to be creative!

-All forum rules still apply. Any entries that do not adhere to these rules will not be accepted.

-Please do not post your entries anywhere else on the forums until after the winners have been announce. While I can understand your excitement to show others your hard work, it is important that your banner remains wrapped under the tree. 

 

This month's theme - Hearth's Warming Eve with the CMC

 

-Must showcase an aspect of Hearth's Warming Eve or Winter

 

-Must highlight at least one member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Scootaloo, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle)

I'm working on one right now with GIMP. It's going to be hard to do some of the CMC, as I don't really know how I could feature them.

These banners are about Hearth's Warming Eve, not Christmas We're entering the holiday season for quite a few cultures, including Equestrian culture! Since we're a pony-oriented community, we're just putting a pony spin on things. Still, great to know you'll be participating. Good luck!

You didn't let me ask all of my wonderful questions

 

1. Is the size for the banner standard or is their a flexibility on it, e.g. will lose marks for not being recomended.

 

2. Does it allow OC which are close to the theme?

 

3. Can it still be used for the site if submitted after this date?

 

4. Will they all be allowed on the site at some point?

 

5. Whos going to be rating them all

 

6. When will yo uget back to us if you chose a winner

 

7. is their a reward even if you lose?

Um I'm sorry @Jeric , but I think you've forgotten that Babs is apart of the CMC now. It wouldn't be fair not to add her in the banners, after all I feel she doesn't get that much attention. So with that being said, it should be okay for everyone to do so. Thank you

YEAH I did a Christmas theme last week took me 2 hours to work on it so yeah it will probably get disqualified because I'm sorry I'm not redoing my work that doesn't show the cutie mark crusaders instead in my fan art section it's The power ponies FOR CHRISTMAS enjoy!

@SimplyRarity, You are right and if someone does add Babs Seed to a banner it will be accepted as she is in fact a Cutie Mark Crusader.
