What Will Happen When FIM Ends

Okay so as we all know Friendship is Magic has become a huge commercial success, but all good things come to end and unless we want MLP to become like the Simpsons at some point it WILL have to end.

 

But I was thinking, what are Hasbro's possibility's of how to continue to expand this universe. If you want to know how I think FIM should end, watch Canned Cream's video on it. Which I won't send the link because I'm not sure if I'm allowed to. These are the new cartoons which I think could be great replacements.

 

Option #1: My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: The Story Continues

 

So basically after the mane 6 go their separate ways and the book which opened at the very first episode closes in close homage. A new story is told: this time centering around the new bearers of the elements of harmony. We get a great scene when the mane 6 pass on their elements to:

 

Vinyl Scratch: Element of Laughter

Derpy Hooves: Element of Loyalty

Bon Bon: Element of Generosity

Doctor Hooves: Element of Honesty

Octavia: Element of Kindness

Lyra Heartstrings: Element of Magic

 

As you may have guessed this show will focus on the background ponies. This will play out kind of like Star Trek: The Next Generation with the original characters and cast hardly ever in it. However the CMC will appear with around the same amount of screen time as the do now just the same age as the mane 6 are now. The tone will be very similar to the tone of the classic show, with the return of characters such as Discord and Lord Tirek.

 

Option #2: Equestria Girls: The Animated Series

 

This is a promising option due to the already set up premise and characters. The show will revolve around Sunset Shimmer and her writing to Princess Twilight in the notebook (way to pay homage) about the lessons about friendship she has learned. I would hope that it would take some ideas from The Seven Days Of Sunny June fanfic saga, making Brad a main villain (way to spice up his character) and having a slightly gritty tone MAYBE leaning towards Batman: The Animated Series in the case of the two parters as it is easy to make stuff about humans more realistic. However on a normal basis the tone will be VERY similar to FIM.

 

Option #3: My Little Pony: Legends Of Equestria

 

This will be a prequel series about the adventures of Celestia and Luna, back in the period of all those dark and deep conflicts we here about in FIM. This will definitely be more action, adventure on a day to day basic rather than just occasionally and in 2 parters, and we will learn more about the origins of our favorite villains.

 

So which option do you think is the best.

Simply put, there will be no more episodes. That is all. Pony fans will continue to write stories, make art and fap fap fap away to clop. One day it'll begin to die down, we'll become smaller in numbers; but inevitably I believe we'll be around a long time.

to be honest, i don´t actually care wether it dies or not.

 

i think that the conceptof the show, the ideas that it has sparked in the heads of people( like whatever you like, love and tolerate others, get creative, etc.) will not die out when the show ends.

well considering that the toy line has been around since the mid 80 I doubt that this will go away anytime soon.

 

FIM may go away, but because of it's popularity, I suspect that this story will continue on for a long time

The episodes will end, but the community will always be around. Pumping out new contents, stories, art, music and community conventions will no doubt continue on as long as the interest for the show continues.

Explore(show) the rest of the world(Equestria?) and make a video game or two based on said world? Have a show with more day to day stuff and make a board game? Things like that

Doctor Who, has been running for 50 years, give or take, and is still great! My small hope is that MLP will achieve such status.

 

But coming back on topic, I'm sure there will be a spin off centering around the Mane 6's descendants. Or the background ponies descendants.

Option #4: Get on with life and watch other shows.

 

As much as I like MLP:FIM, it will not devastate me when it comes to an end. It is only a TV show, after all. Each new episode only takes 22 minutes out of my week. I won't be a weeping wreck if I do something else with those 22 minutes a week.

I think Legends of Equestria would be such a good idea to replace FIM. I'd watch that for sure.

Options 1 and 3 I would love, as each one serves a clear purpose. Option 2, Equestria Girls..meh, to me, not so much. I liked the movies, Rainbow Rocks was awesome, but even then, the idea of them making a full show about it doesn't seem like an idea that would work out too well.

 

Given the fact that FiM as it is now apparently is going to last at least another five years, it is hard to tell, but I would be fine with a sequel or prequel series. I feel like Hasbro might try to continue FiM in some way. I guess it depends if it is still bringing in the money at that point, which I assume it would be.

 

The FiM universe is ripe for expanding and anything that could do so canonically would be awesome.

Sadly,there're things that I enjoy wayy more than MLP(Fire Emblem <3),and,if MLP Ends,i'll cry a bit for it,but then I'll follow with my life,and concentrate on my other obsessions.

I'd like to see a show about the children of FiM's characters, under one condition though: It should have Kilala97's characters. I think that'd be real awesome. It would be called My Little Pony: Children of Harmony.

I just don't know....I might go crazy since I'm been resisting suicide for a very long time now ok( I got a minor depression),is like a magical shield that protects me from doing it......if it really ends my heart will broke so yea I might commit suicide shortly afterwards.I got plans on making celestia,luna,cadance,twilight,and my oc name moonlight small statues from sunstone,moonstone,diamond,emerald,and amethyst and I only send it to only most trusted bronies out there, if there is one before is time for me to go and I am serious about it too.I just can't live without loving and kindness ponies....
