I'm actually extremely surprised Rarity is surpassing Luna, considering she's almost the least popular Mane Six alongside Applejack.

I think I would humbly disagree. Rarity has gotten more fame and fan base build-up since Season 3. I think it's fair to say that she is now one of the most popular of Mane Six. Just look at her fan club, more posts than any other pony that's for sure! But yes, I think most of us are quite surprised with the amount of Rarity's votes. But true Rarinators didn't doubt her for a second!

Good grief this is still incredibly close. But I don't think I've ever seen Luna lead. This is still way closer than I thought it'd be.

She did earlier, but it seems Luna is always 8 votes behind.

Luna will always be a great opponent seeing it this close, I think any one will remember such a great battle between the two.  This dragon will always remember Luna as an honorable opponent against Rarity, but this round just wasn't the one for Luna to win in.

Here's what happens on this thread:

 

1. Rarity gets ahead of Luna for a while.

 

2. Rarity fans think they've got the win in the bag.

 

3. Rarity fans aren't paying attention as Luna's votes go up.

 

4. Luna gets ahead of Rarity just a little bit.

 

5. Rarity fans freak out.

 

6. Somehow Rarity rapidly gains more votes.

 

7. Repeat cycle.


Anyways, apart from that, GO LUNA!

The second Luna gets ahead, just watch.

Rarity will then gain a ton of votes then stop when she gains ten above Luna.
