I has a question.

 

Is this an AU? Because I'm going to be treating my character that way. As though her world sort of went to ruin and this was her only option.

 

Tbh I don't think Amber is suited to be a pirate, and I'll sort if be combining her personality with that of my D&D character...

Is that okay?

Well, the question wasn't for you, but...

AU stands for alternate universe. As in, not the same setting as the show.

I think it would make more sense as an AU.

Just to mention, Reading through your posts, it really helps the people that you are talking to if you tag them in your posts.

I know for me, i get emails whenever someone tags me, so I don't have to constantly refresh the forum to see if I am being talked to.

Damn I forgot he gave us a map. I didn't check it. I will edit my post. As for the tagging, I have asked plenty of times and none knew of a way so Thanks.

Well, since there's no real mention of pirates in the show (Us far as I know. Haven't seen the newer episodes, so maybe.) yeah, it is AU.

We're currently stationed in Canterbury.

As for the Crystal Empire, it's possible that the map was drawn during the time before the crystal empire reappeared. Seeing as how there is only one arctic area in Equestria on this map, I'd say it's safe to assume that the Crystal Empire is there.

Nightlight shifted uneasily. It wouldn't make a good impression if he said he joined because he had nothing left to live for. He hadn't quite given up the hope of meeting Twilight one day, but he knew chances were really slim that he'd ever end up with her. He just watched the other ponies talk; it would be rude to interrupt. He also joined because pirates were amongst the most interesting characters in the plays he'd performed. That, and after catching word that there were pirates about to set sail, he couldn't just let them leave without an adept chef. His few friends back home told him his cooking was really good. Also, he might just make a few friends while on board. That would be nice, but for now Nightlight thought it best to distrust everypony... at least, as far as he could without getting into trouble.

I'm sorry, Captain, but Garnet, the ship's Carpenter, is asleep in the quarters, with instructions posted on a sign nailed to his door to not disturb unless in an emergency. The sign actually looks quite stylish...woodworking is just one of Garnet's many hobbies/pastimes...

I don't mean to add to the negativity, but I kinda desire to resign myself. Every time I check, there's another batch of new posts, and it's rather overwhelming, not to mention a bit confusing with more than one ship. Also, I'm fairly new to roleplaying, so I suppose I'm still learning the ropes. I don't appreciate others using sarcasm against me. It's rather hurtful (granted, it was just that once, but still).

This was an idea that I had at one point, however it would be extremely difficult to follow and we would have a lot of trouble affecting each other from other threads. Don't worry though. I won't let the RP die this easily.

If you're going to resign, I'd prefer you'd do it now. I'm temporarily going to put the RP on hiatus whilst we find replacements, and I would prefer not to do this multiple times. It might seem rude, and if it does I'm very sorry, but I really need to know.
