As a member of the "core" Mane Six in the TV series?  No interest.  The Mane Six are Fire Forged Friends from Episode 1 onward, and have four seasons of development and bonding between them.  Adding a new character at this point would just feel shoehorned in.  Besides which that would mean abandoning her friends in CHS to go back to Equestria, which not only doesn't make sense, but it would violate the bonds she developed in the human world.

 

However, as a member of the EQG Mane Six, or "Humane Six"?  I can be down with that.  She earned her place with them in Rainbow Rocks.

As much as  I love Sunset Shimmer, I do not think she--or any other pony for that matter--should be added to the Mane 6.

 

Think about it... the Mane 6 all got their cutie marks at the same time (thanks to Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom), and they represent the elements of harmony (there are only six elements).

Nope, I favour keeping the universes of the Equestria Girls AU and regular show AU as far away from each other as possible. That way, people who hate the EQG concept can safely ignore it without it intruding on their enjoyment of the show... ahem... more than it does just simply daring to exist, y'know?

Not the the mane six. But make her a needed character like Apple Bloom or Celestia.

 

Well, now that I think about it... It would actually make sense to put her with the mane six. For one, the point of the mane six was equality and balance in power. Which is why there were two of each race. And like Twilight in the beginning of the series, Sunset Shimmer needs to learn more about friendship. And is sent somewhere she is unfamiliar with anypony. And it would be interesting to see how the mane six (excluding Twilight) would react to her. Maybe they'd be overly friendly and hit it off more than Twilight had originally interpreted. And she may feel like she's being replaced. If they made that the premiere of season 5, it could be while some kind of dark magic is flooding throughout Equestria. Which is also a reason that Sunset Shimmer is there. Celestia might have called her there to help fight it. And when Sunset shimmer gets into Twilight's head and she becomes jealous or hurt, the darkness finds a weak spot and takes control of her. Like with Rarity in Inspiration Manifestation.     Does that make any sense or am I just rambling?

Also, I wouldn't want her to be apart of the mane six permanently. Just have her for a premiere or something and bring her back every now and then like they did with Discord.

i don´t think she would add a lot to the show( since her character is basically just "hey, i am one of the good guys now,look at me!"),but i like her design, so why not.

Hands down yes. Sunset Shimmer has finally seen the light of friendship and said herself that she's in a much better place. Plus they say that in season 5 there will be a 7th Element of Harmony...Could it be?

I love Sunset Shimmer, but she was made specifically for the Equestria Girls universe. I do hope they bring her through the portal a couple of times as I reckon the endeavor to resolve her issues with Celestia and what not would be a sweet story for an episode. Largely because it would further convey the importance of humility and integrity to seek forgiveness, which is definitely prevalent in Rainbow Rocks. Maybe she's the Element of Forgiveness, having learned first hoof of its importance. Ah dunno.

 

But otherwise, she's pretty much the face and integral part of the HuMane 6 (nice to see that someone else in this thread had addressed them as such, heh). Plus toys. S'all about new toys.

No, not without some time to slowly, and officially, gain the trust of other ponies and slowly grow as a character in the show (since Equestria Girls in noncanon). Also only as a recurring side character, not as another member of the mane cast.

I will admit this is partly bias because I did not like how they tried to convince me of Sunset Shimmer's growth in a single movie or the fact the writers had to push Twilight and her human friends down just to raise Sunset up. Twilight has had 4 season to grown and develop yet it was Sunset who saved the day in the second movie. You really want me to buy that Hasbro?

Of course, I have similar yet also very different feelings on Discord but that is for another thread.
