Which element of harmony do you have the most trouble following?

Historically, it's been charity that I've had trouble with.  Growing up, optimism would be my strong suit, but in the last 5 years or so, not so much.  As I grew older, I became more jaded and my compassion got weaker as well.  FiM is revitalizing all of these for me.  I'm remembering my former kind and optimistic self and I'm learning to be more generous.  It's a work in progress.

Either laughter or kindness. I can be a real jerk at time (But I don't want to. I just don't know what goes wrong in those times) or a real downer. I can be really happy and really kind (sorta), though.

I have loyalty, honesty, and integrity in spades. What I lack? Optimism. I'm really insecure and anxious about the way things go for my future. While I wouldn't say I'm a pessimist, I definitely fret too much to look on the bright side.

- Honesty, because is hard not to lie when i will replay to something i found disturbing. Yes, nopony can always express as he/she wants

 

- Laughter, since i was a kid, other children were always joking me, so i became a person who hardly can stand at jokes.

- Kidness, i often think on negative things and these reflects on my character/ poor social skills.

   Why is magic an element? The whole of the unicorns and alicorns of Equestria possess magic, I usually just thought it was just the horn like rhinos and deer... just part of them. Using them like anchor points to channel their magic like magic wands? Now that's imagination... So Twilight's element is magic...

   Here's my question... Why not just make Twilight The Element of Friendship? She ever since episode one had sent out to learn everything about friendship and even after she did and made friends, she reported every episode to Princess Celestia the things she learned about friendship. So when they revealed her element it was "Magic"... Wouldn't the element and later Princess of Friendship make more sense? Than the Princess of Magic?

 

  On a side note as to what element I most relate to is Rarity's Element of Generosity. I fancy myself very charitable, full of compassion I desire to help people and make a difference in their lives. The fact if I am successful in helping or not is beside the point. The effort is what counts. It's just being there... It's making the time... Sometimes it's just listening... And every so often it's the thought that counts you can't help/satisfy every pony but that can't stop you from trying. Because sometimes a TRY is all anyone can do and some never take the time nor have any to spare. I often ponder if I care too much where some care nothing at all for anything or anyone.

    I like Rarity because she proved people wrong when they thought she was just another vain, uptight, selfish, city mare. She isn't perfect (like who is though?) I bet they never expected she'd be a giver... Because her element "GENEROSITY" is all about giving... Not so much taking. I wager what you could take from it is her good will and she'll go out of her way to help someone. I think of the phrase "Pay it Forward" something our world could use a LOT more of. She's incredible like that. She did something nice for somepony and he or she returned the favor but the thing is to do something nice and unexpected for somepony else it's pass it along that's "pat it forward" then they in turn repeat the process. Unlike some preconceived notions about her. Somepony wrapped up in herself would have difficulty understanding that... Right?

     There's nothing better in this world than seeing the joy and gratitude and light on a person's face when you've done something charitable for them. That sometimes can be better than any amount of money. Rarity is also BEST pony.

Magic as an element is kind of hard to follow considering that Magic is Twilight's element and yet all unicorns and alicorns do magic too. ya know? Friendship would in theory be better for Twilight if you ask me? I honestly thought is said "Which Element do you Relate most with". Sorry every pony. By the way Serenade? is this better? I mean Can you read it now... Just trying to make sure it's good and legible? Also I hope I've corrected my mistake a little? hehe

Well, I'm not a magician, so probably magic.

 

But of the other five, I think honesty is the toughest act to follow. It's next to impossible to be completely honest with yourself and others 100% of the time, and I think honesty is a virtue that is tested on a daily basis whether we realize it or not. I consider myself an honest person in general, in that I'm as honest, if not more so than what would be considered average or expected. By no means am I perfect, and I wish I could be as forthright as Applejack. The fact that she embodies honesty as well as she does shows a lot of strength in her character, and I greatly admire that.

 

Either Kindness or Laughter would be my specialty. Most people will tell you I am sweet-natured and that I have a good sense of humor as well as a silly side. It doesn't take much to get me to chuckle or cackle.

 

Generosity and Loyalty fall in the middle somewhere. It's hard to think of instances in which loyalty is tested, but I know I've always stood by people I care about through thick and thin. Generosity is tricky, because what one considers to be generous might not seem so to the next person. I wouldn't say I'm overly giving, but I have been known to give money to random people who ask for spare change, and I usually toss a small sum in charity donation boxes. With friends and family, I am kinda stingy with things I like.

I think Honesty. I have a tendency to lie to get out of a situation. It's not as bad as it was a few years ago but I still get tempted to lie.

In a sense I think honesty might be the hardest for me to follow; but not in the way you're thinking. The issue stems from me not being honest with myself for various reasons; of which will not be covered here.

I have trouble following Generosity, I am quite a greedy person in general over more important things like money and such. 

I suppose I have trouble following Kindness all the time, if I am in a bad mood it's near impossible to follow it.
But yeah Generosity is the one I have most trouble following in general.

Out of the six elements of harmony (honesty, kindness, loyalty, genorosity, laughter, and magic (or if you prefer (according to Celestia in "Magical Mystery Cure"), integrity compasion devotion, charity, optimism, and leadership)) which one do you most struggle with?  Nobody's perfect and, odds are, there's at least one of these virtues that you don't follow very well.  Which one is it???????  

 

DISCLAIMER: I'd really appreciate if you'd actually explain why you have trouble following (insert element of harmony here) and giving some ideas on how you think you could improve on it.  As apposed to just saying "element of _______" and leaving it at that.

I'd think optimism i often think the worst case scenario so i don't get dissapointed.

Mine's Generosity, I never give money to charity and hardly ever give anything to anyone.

I sometimes even pretend I don't have a spare pen just so that I don't have to give anyone a spare when someone needs one.

I'm not a big giver, but I sometimes try in hope that I'll get better however most attempts to better my generosity usually don't go as well as I hoped.

Silly Cheerilee misunderstood the topic   .  So, without further ado, the Element that I struggle the most with is.. Honesty. I always find it difficult to tell the whole truth. Whether it be to family, friends, or co-workers, I can sometimes bend the truth in order to make me look cool. Also, I find that when honesty and kindness intersect, I always prefer to be kind, even if that means telling white lies, and sometimes, it comes back to bite me in the posterior because it's possible for people to deduce that I am full o' bull.

Not that I am actively a jerk or take pleasure in seeing pain, but something I have some marked trouble with is empathy. I have to try very hard to see things from another's perspective. Oh I welcome all contributions all right, but it's very hard for me to actually place myself in another's hooves.
