Dark Qiviut 22,681 February 13, 2015 Share February 13, 2015 Best: The Best Night Ever. Great characters IN character, three-dimensional, and likeable. A plot that you kinda expected, but the comedy and how badly each of the Mane Six's expectations fell so flatly on their faces worked so brilliantly. On top of it, it's Friendship Is Magic in its purest form. Sure, there's no epic sequence or fighting like the last three finales, but they didn't need to be. Worst: One Bad Apple. The song and A-Team references are classic, but too much went wrong. Babs was excused for her bullying because she was bullied back in Manehattan; no excuse whatsoever. DT, SS, and Pinkie are flanderized. The moral (your bullying ends when you tell a grownup) is terrible, and not just because Applejack did absolutely nothing, even AFTER she told the CMCs in the resolution. Even worse, this episode falls for the disastrous cliché of "If you fight back against the bully, you become the bully." I wrote more about them here. Moonlight 7,291 February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 Best: Pinkie Pride, Cheese Sandwich is best stallion, good songs, alright pacing, and rather nice visuals seeing as how the episode is bright and colorful. And 'Pinkie's Lament' is one of the best songs of the entire show, only tied with 'You'll Play Your Part' for me.
