Ruby Tuesday 52 March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 (edited) Hello everypony! "Ruby Tuesday" has quickly taken off as my new fandom identity while getting quickly absorbed into the community! I am, by all accounts, "fresh meat" so to speak. While I've really enjoyed MLP:FiM alone, or, on occasion, with family, for a couple of years now, I haven't really interacted with much of the community at large until recent times! Now, I'm eagerly awaiting BABSCon, a mere couple of weeks away, where I'm staffing. If you're attending, you'll be likely to find me running about the BABSCon Rainbow Falls Traders Exchange, trying to help out as much as I can, or partying down at night to the huge BABSCon NEIGHem lineup of awesome musicians! That being said, I wasn't even aware that a "brony con" was a thing until I saw the documentary on Netflix last year. Growing up, I attended and staffed a lot of anime conventions, from the time I was 13, running around Anime Boston, until my last Anime Expo in 2008. While I have always loved anime and video games (not to mention sci-fi and fantasy ANYTHING), I enjoyed the people at the conventions the most. There is something about being in a place where your "weirdness" is completely accepted (or, at the very least, tolerated) by everyone around you, and "geeking out" or just being plain silly is seen as a good thing. The documentary showed me that the MLP fandom is really similar to this community that I've really missed, and I'm so glad that I will be a part of it again. Thanks for reading my introduction! Thanks for the high compliment! I'm actually working on getting someone far more talented than myself to work on a better OC art for me. Worst case scenario, it looks like I could find someone for that easily here! I remember being asked for my fandom name for the first time, and I realized I hadn't put any thought into something like that before!
