Actually, I would argue not as much... Luna was essentially in stasis for a 1000 years while Celestia continue to rule. There are very likely many tricks the older sister knows that the younger does not, and much in the way of understanding how Equestria works that one would not has time to learn to the same extent.

 

Of any cause my goal will be to have Celestia convince her sister that her fear, while good intended, is largely misplaced. Caution is fair, but extremes are not such as burning all research that has been done and separating the scientists to the far corners of Equestria. As too preventing the humans that come to their world from ever returning home, when at worse all that would be required is an 'oath' spell to be cast wherein it is promised that nothing learned is revealed to others.

 

Shrugs, that least that is how I see the situation. While a 'spy vs spy' could be interesting, I would rather it not become such as I don't want to see the sisters turn against each other. Some arguing and debating is fine, but having each try and force each other's hoof not so much.

Perhaps, at least how I am considering it, Celestia wanted to discuss such things face to face. That and perhaps the royal sisters prevented records involving humans from being made.

...Let's keep things simple and go with the original premise, okay? I only intended this to be a more lighthearted slice of life RP that focuses on the interactions between the two species and less on all the politics, as their physical, cultural and technological differences should provide enough entertainment for everyone involved...

 

I expect some Ponies to be fearful and others to be curious or even anxious to meet the humans, but like Equestran Scholar said, going to the extreme of denying the humans from going home and burning all knowledge of their existence would only prove to be a disastrous move. Not only would knowledge be lost and the general "Love and Tolerate" vibe be thrown out the window, it'd leave the humans' family and friends in despair, wondering what happened to them.

 

And Bronislav, you might want to submit a tech support question to see what's going on...

I would submit that you can't really get one without the other. Those same differences which provide entertainment also give great difficulty.

 

Even so, I am already adjusting my course to suite the rp's more light-hearted nature. (Plus it's not like politics are necessarily all somber and serious. It's just how most people depict it.)

Sorry for the extra long wait, everyone! As always, I'm working on a long post for AJ to make up for my absence. At least the Mane6, the princesses, and Spike are all at the castle, so I'm gonna wait for @Windbreaker and @Derplight Sperkle to post again, so we can FINALLY bring Colette and Alex in!

Yeah, I noticed her title, and I think I got her attention in another OOC thread as she brohoof'd a post of mine (though probably not the attention needed for here, no?). I understand if she's busy~

I was about to mention her myself, but then I noticed she's following this topic, so she should have gotten a notification regardless.

First of all, just as @Love said, being a sectional really keeps you busy!

 

It shouldn't be too hard to join, as I'll always be taking OCs, so just apply when you can! When I get the chance, I'll let you know if your OC's approved or not.

 

I do have staff duties to take scare of on top of real life obligations, but I'll do my best to keep this roleplay as active as possible!

 

In this roleplay, Humans are never before seen creatures, so apart from what the headlines are saying, the vast majority of Equestrians have no clue as to what they look like.

 

And yes, with luck, this roleplay will be centered around the humans' various interactions with the Equestrians.

All four princesses are now on the scene, which brings us that much closer to finally bringing the humans in!

 

The elder princesses Mane5 finally made it to Twilight's castle, where Luna, then Celestia had shown the Mane6 a little of what the human world was like.

 

I'm gonna allow a few more posts for the mane crew before I f-f a bit and have the humans discover that they've won the "contest".

Alright then, I have saved a copy of others posts after my last. I will take that home and type up a reply for tomorrow morning... which I have to do because I am about to be picked up and I don't have WiFi for my laptop where I am staying. If I finish up the post I can maybe ask my grandmother to use her computer. Even then, it may be tricky because she doesn't have any sort of word doc, open office doc, exc on her Mac. I would possibly have to first upload my reply to Google Docs and copy from there onto MLP Forums. Heh, either that or wait until the morning to post it at the library.

 

My situation is complex to say the least.

My situation took a turn for the more complex as well... hopefully, that'll turn around by Thursday at the earliest!

 

But in the meantime, either Google Docs or Google Drive are your best bets!

 

And whilst it's not ideal for many, I also use my phone more often than not. It's not a computer, but it's better than nothing!

I've been chatting with @Windbreaker for a bit, and I wanted to give Alex and Colette a chance to collaborate on a video, given that they're both YouTubers -- I was thinking of calling it something along the lines of "Shit Aliens Say"; I was inspired by this video:

I was thinking that they can both make the video in an attempt to record what they normally record, only to be interrupted by a pony or two... I was thinking that maybe even for Colette, somehow inadvertently and unknowingly do something inappropriate in front of a princess! First princess roleplayer to brohoof this post get to have the honor!

 

And whilst I'm on the subject of YouTubing, I also plan on having Colette make a video along with her friends detailing how she's gonna prepare for going to Equestria. This will be right after she finds out she has been chosen, so expect to see that post in the (hopefully) near future!

Young adult, around 20. Can be older if wanted, won't be a problem.

Height (Feet and inches):

If the average pony (e.g.) mane six are around 4 feet tall, then North would be around 4'8'' or something* (should be around Big Mac height, if not just a wee bit taller). Tall, but no alicorn.

*I'm more used with metric

 

Weight (in pounds):

I'm not sure what would be good here...

If we go by the logic that pegasi weigh less than the other races to help them stay airborne better, then he'd be light for his size, but not as a pegasus (he's physically a bit dense)

 

Eye color:

Sky blue

 

Mane color:

Dark blonde

 

Physical Description:

Visibly taller than most ponies. He is of an all around average build.

His mane is on the half-long side, and is on the most part never tended to, so a bit ruffled. The same goes with his tail.

His wings are a bit big, even for his size.

In a crowd he might bend down a bit to not stick out much.

My profile picture is a chibi-version of him, so you might be able to visualize him a little bit better from that.

 

Occupation (Optional):

Bard, or "skald" as he prefers to call it. he's often on the move because of this.

 

Other distinctive features (if any):

If seen in daylight, he might be seen wearing a pair of round shades.

Him being heavy for his size and for a pegasus can make quick flight a bit more tiring for him than most, so he can't keep at a high pace for long.

 

Backstory (A little more about your character):

He grew up with his parents and his twin sister in a village at the border of Equestria; a short way north-west from the Crystal Empire.

 

Growing up, he spent a lot of time on his own, and with his sister. Him being the smaller of the two, his sister often stepped up for him when he needed it. On his own, he was somewhat quiet, though with his sister by his side, he had more confidence.

As time went by, he begun growing fond of the night and the night sky, often sneaking out at night to have a peek up at it. He enjoyed the overall peace, quiet and beauty.

 

During the daytime, often sleepy from the long nights, he often went out of the village with his sister to explore and play. This sometimes had them come in contact with other inhabitants of the surrounding areas, such as other ponies and the rare yak.

 

As more time went by he stumbled upon new interests; he noticed some travelling ponies playing music, and he felt some eagerness to try it out himself. With some help, he managed to try out a few instruments, striking gold with fiddle, modified so it would be easier for pegasi to play it. He acquired one, and begun practising.

 

One night, while playing outside under the stars, his cutie mark appeared; a golden eight-note with strings from the tail to the pole.

 

It was also around this time that North caught up to his sister at the growing department, having grown at a rapid rate for a while. Fully grown, and taller than most, he had grown into a slightly more confident, still a bit quiet, bard who were often on the move, playing soothing tunes wherever he goes.

 

Cutie Mark: 

A golden eight-note, with strings from the tail to the pole.

It symbolises his talent for playing soothing tunes on his fiddle, often described as sounding like an audible version of the northern lights.

Now, I have another question... Now, knock me out if you've already answered this, but do the ponies stalk tag along as they encounter the humans, or is it like "They are in my city now, now I get to interact with them!"?

Also, tell me if there's anything you want changed - I also have another character (mentioned in his backstory) that I could try and apply with if North is not to your taste!
