Funny story about this game is that I remember one time in Kindergarten, I was playing this game before school and was about to unlock the turbo nozzle and my mom told me it was time for school and I yelled, "But mommy I'm trying to unlock the turbo nozzle!" And she yelled, "Well you can unlock the turbo nozzle after school!"

Mine is a bit of an odd one.

Age of Mythology.

That was my first game and my only game for the longest time. I didn't grow up on nintendo stuff, I grew up on my dad's old PC and whatever games he had lying around.

Unreal Tournament came in a bit later too when I was older, but still relatively 'child'.

Then years later we got an xbox and I played halo CE

Halo CE also makes the hall of fame of 'childhood game' since it was my first console game, and the first game to give me nightmares. So that was a huge influence on me too.

Mine has to do with Super Mario 3 for the NES. At the time, I loved Super Mario and watched the cartoon, ate mushrooms, and wore overalls because of him. My favorite animal at the time was the raccoon so when this game was released and it showed my idol with raccoon powers, I remember going nuts! I also really wanted my mom to make me a Tanooki Suit. I never got one. :(

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

I was 6 when I got the game. It was my very first video game. I just loved it. The cars, the music, the atmosphere. I literally played that game until it broke.

Resident Evil 4, watching my brother play it for ages.

My older brother played it when he was 8, and he still does and he is now 15.

There are so many games I loved when I was little. From Super Mario Galaxy to Zelda Ocarina of Time. I quit doing my homework because of Mario Galaxy. I played Ocarina of time over and over and even beat it once without dying. The game that took me the longest to beat was Zelda Majoras Mask, it took me two years. Mario kart was fun to play with my brothers. I'm gonna stop now because as I said above, there are just too many games to list.

This thing:

(For the record, it doesn't resemble regular Tetris in any way, shape or form.)

I was an absolute wizard at this game! I could flatten absolutely anyone who challenged me, and eventually my parents and brother just gave up trying. I still have it and my SNES, and occasionally I'll boot it up just to blitz through the little Player vs PC campaign. So much love for this game.  :rarity:

Bet no one knows mine:

Der Langrisser.

My second favorite one is World of Warcraft, played it first time when i was 4.

i think i've got more than 5000 hours on the first one, and about 3000 on the second.

(those 2 games helped me a lot in learning english, as just playing them i've got almost fluent on it)

i'm Sorry if i've made mistakes, english isn't my main Language, but i'm trying to get better at it (if you see an error and wants to tell me, i'll correct and learn from it :yay: )

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Mega Drive, my cousin and I played it for hours. Ms Pac Man 2 is another fond memory on the same console, my dad was obsessed and we used to see who could get the furthest (he was the only one to actually complete it XD )

You know those moves in every fighter game that require you to press (if you're on the left) right, down, then diagonal?  It's the ones like Ken and Ryu's uppercut, or Tiger Uppercut.  When I was little, I could never get those work.  I would try and try and try.  Nothing.  Then one day I figured it out.  Just tap right and then perform the regular quarter circle.  It's like an extra tap right, then a hadouken.  From that day on I could perform any special move in any fighter game almost without fail.  That's one of my standout childhood gaming memories.

But my best childhood memories are from Final Fantasy 6.  Fighting 256 battled to turn the Cursed Shield into the Paladin Shield.  Stuff like that.  Great times.

My best childhood memories? Beating Link's Awakening for the first time, 100% clearing Sonic 3 & Knuckles as Tails, and watching my brother defeat the true final boss of Star Fox 64.

The best childhood gaming memory would have to be whenever I was at the dirt track with my family, playing Pokemon Red on my gameboy color w/ the gameboy flashlight.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky

They nailed the tearjerkers so perfectly in that series. Even now, years after I last played them, the sad scenes still twist a knife in my heart. The new 3DS one was pretty lackluster in that regard, though it would've been pretty hard to top Special Episode 5.

Anyway, on-topic:

Freddie Fish, RollerCoaster Tycoon, SimCity 2000, SimCopter, Claw, Pokemon Blue, probably others I've spaced out on. It's been quite a few years.
