This is an interesting question, actually.

 

As I've stated a billion times my "OC" is a representation of me. But I'll skip the spiel I usually give about the 'cutie mark' I gave her being a dream instead of reality... I've decided that perhaps my love, passion, and knowledge for wind instruments could perhaps still earn me that cutie mark as a pony, even if I still wasn't incredibly naturally talented at performing them.

 

With that said, take that away... I'm not sure exactly what you'd get... On one hand, the concept of everyone being equal would be appealing, because then the feelings of inferiority would fade, and I/she would feel better about everything BUT if my "OC", by any chance, went through the same/similar adversities in life that I have, then this might be detrimental, because having something to strive for has kept me hanging on the last several years.

 

So... You might end up with my "OC" losing her mind, which I suppose is just kind of standard for ponies in that village to begin with. xD Unless we go darker.... And go somewhere MLP would never touch upon... The result of losing her mind being... "leaving".

Actually to be honest, Wind Chaser doesn't have a special talent and would agree with the ideology at first, but taking away his individuality and controlling his mind would be dangerous. If he was forced to live in Starlight Glimmer's village, he would probably spend every hour of every day trying to subvert her authority and take over.

For Sapphy it would be her Magic would be just... horrible not teleporting or much levitation here and her Speciality for Enchanting would be horrid, Star would be bad with magic too, but not as much and her Caring would die just as Sapphys would fun question

Duster, as an ad designer, would really only be able to work in the color schemes of the town (brown, beige, and gray) and for some reason all of her ads just parrot on about equality. And are covered in equal signs.

 

And if we give a little leeway, she'd probably grow too. She's between the size of a filly and an adult mare.

THAT'S AN INTERESTING QUESTION!

 

When I saw that episode, my band of OCs kind of came to mind right away. Azure is a pony that I've had a lot of fun experimenting with and one of the story arcs I thought of for her is her not liking her talent, her cutie mark. She grew up on the streets travelling and fighting to survive in her younger years with a homeless 'family.' He talent is deception. Bastion meets her at a very young age, and eventually becomes a knight after the two part ways. Azure whose met back up and practically riding on his coat tails, starts doubting herself and hating her special talent of deception as she goes on adventures with this knight. I imagine that she might very willingly give up her cutie mark.

 

Bastion, however, is very dependent on it, I'd nearly go as far as to say that he draws his personal strengths from it. It appeared on him when he first decided to be a knight and since then he's been completely dedicated to fulfilling that vow. Loosing his cutie mark would break him completely. He might just sit in the corner moping about his uselessness while being forced to listen to those equalists messages. 

 

My others I'm not so sure about. Bronze loosing his cutiemark would probably just act very selfish and rude while he tried to get his cutie mark back. Minozette might just loose control of her little tinkerers machine and it'd just go crazy contently. And maybe Caelus would just not be able to control his magic whenever he tried to use it.

If my oc Facade got unmarked, he would lose his acting talent, and his mean behaviour and lies he hides using said acting ability would be more obvious than a bright neon light in a pitch black field.

Gem Sprite: She would loose her glossy coat and mane and tail and would loose her talent

for blowing glass and crafting and also loose her mood swings and deep love for her mate

Zapper and filly Dreamshard.

 

Rune:  She loose her talent for lighting magic and battle in such edge and her sarcasm

and just be rendered to the normal unicorn magic but also her battle planning and bossy

nature but also sense of deep honor.

 

Teal Surge:  She could no longer find water using dowsing or be able to walk

on the surface of any type of water.

 

Dragonblood: He would loose his talent for fire and fire magic and be put into

a more normal range of magic of unicorns but also his flirty ways with the

ladies and cool like nature I think.

Twilight frost is evil incarnate! She is extremely offensive as she can be with her words, sinister, cruel, vindictive and violent. 

 

She is not a pony you want to do something like that with. Especially since her talent is magic and not just any magic, but the most gifted ice magician who ever existed.

 

If she were to be compared to others gifted in ice magic or those gifted in magic in general who knew powerful cold, ice, snow etc spells. The two catagories would be Her and the "ungifted".

 

She would most likely have to stoop to using her seductive, mind control persuasion abilities to fool a bunch of henchponies....I mean, "friends" to help her recover her cutie mark.

3 things would probably happen to him.

 

-He wouldn't care if somepony was hurt, him being very determined to be a protector, this is would be a huge change for him.

-He would lose his touch with nature, so he wouldn't care if his homeland was burnt down, cut down, etc.

-He would lose his rage mode ability. Fighting would be really hard for him, but he'll still attack in similar manner.

Most of my Unicorn OCs, including Rapier Thrust, his brothers and his cousin, are sword users so if they lose their Cutie Marks, they will lose the ability of demonstrating swordsmanship. They will also lose most of the physical strength of their horns, making the horns useless in melee battles since they rely on their horns during combat.
