Sadistic Ponies in MLP?

Okay i know what you're thinking, i'm crazy for asking this in a family forum; but hear me out. There are evil ponies we know of: Sombra, NM, and many others that we have yet to see. But i've always wondered:

 

Could it be that they would have ponies that are sadistic in nature? Not in the show, but if we could see what their world really was like? NM seemed arrogant, and so full of herself that it was kind of dark. So why wouldn't there be one of these in their world? Dark Mist isn't canon, but she's sadistic in nature; but this is due to multi-personality.

 

If you saw this, would it ever turn you away from the show? There have been creepy moments in the show where pinkie seems to be out of it and talking to inanimate objects and does that creepy eye thing. Sure its funny, but i believe this could happen and exist; mostly a pony being born with it.

And if we ever got the MLP equivalent of Azula, I don't see why I'd stop watching.

I think you could say that Starlight Glimmer (S5 premiere villain) is sadistic in the sense that she brainwashes ponies to believe they're all equal and that it's a better life without a cutie mark.

I think the closest thing to a sadistic character we've had so far is RoH-era Discord - he seemed to actively enjoy inflicting psychological if not physical harm on ponies, and tearing apart the M6's friendship. Hard to tell with Nightmare Moon or Sombra - we didn't really see enough of them to judge, but their primary motivation just seemed to be ruling/taking over Equestria (which would have caused harm to ponies, but I don't think that was their main motivation for doing so).

 

I don't think Starlight Glimmer qualifies personally, although maybe we need to see more of her motivations, but she seems to genuinely believe she's helping/doing what's best for ponies with the whole crazy equalist schtick, not trying to hurt them (and I hope that's the case, because it makes her more interesting than if she doesn't really believe it and it's just a con to get power or whatever). Diamond Tiara, maybe? She definitely seems to enjoy making the CMC miserable...

A sadistic person is someone who takes pleasure in inflicting pain on others, which is not what Starlight is. She believes that everything she does is in everyone's best interest.

The show wouldn't show actual sadistic-sociopathic ponies as they are in real life, but I wouldn't doubt they exist in Equestria

Taking into account the definition, I'd say DT is sadistic.

She's also a bully.

 

I'm sure more sadistic ponies would exist, in a real Equestria, but, as Steve Piranha stated, they are not likely to include them in the actual show.

I guess DT can be categorized as a mild sadist  . They are kids after all and therefore don't have the same understanding from right and wrong (but this of course happens in a magical world so, one can't really apply logic here).
