I don't think Twilight was an idiot, just naive. This was her first thousand year banished. After banishing Discord and then seeing how quickly he reformed afterwards maybe she thought she was so good at it that even Chrysalis would soon be reformed as well. Asking for a book made her at least think she was headed down the right path.

That's why I like the scene so much. She's successfully reformed Trixie, Discord and Sunset, so she'd probably believe that everyone has a good side and deserves a second chance. Like I said earlier, I was hoping a villain would trick her like that eventually. And I'd like to see it in the show, too, with the deception being more fleshed-out.

I kind of hope that they avoid reforming too many characters; Only tirek, chrysalis and sombra weren't reformed, and Sombra is (as far as the show is concerned) dead.

I rather hope they actually keep starlight glimmer evil instead of reforming her, I like some villains to stick to their guns.

 

 

He didn't see through it, he still though Chrysalis loved him when they broke into Trot. It sounds like it was the other citizens who saw through her plans and forced the changelings out.

Man, Fluttershy is piiiissed!

Comic fluttershy actually seems to be alot more passive aggressive and "mean" than the show fluttershy. There's alot more shots of her glaring at others (like her deathglare at pinkie from the Reflections arc)

This was great! I loved how it was more of an anthology story set up with the Mane 6 being the bridging devices for the stories. Reminded me very much of the Tales of the Green Lantern Corp short stories that would appear at the end of 80s Green Lantern books and would have Annuals for.

I don't think history so much forgot about Chrysalis but rather when they went to go check up on her they must of saw the dragon and the charred remains of a minion and assumed she was killed and no longer a threat. Twilight had a very detailed record of Chrysalis's history expect for how she escaped. Maybe they didn't think she manage to escape until she emerged a thousand years later which would explain why there was no record of it.
