When did you think this show started?

This seems like a weird question but yes FiM started in 2010. But when you first heard of this show when did you think it started? At first I thought FiM started in 2007 or 2008 for some reason. And I thought the brony fandom was around way longer than that.

I went for 2010 because I knew bronies had been around for a few years when I started watching in 2012. Turns out I was right. (But I never guessed a specific month.)
