thirty-thirty 36 May 22, 2015 Share May 22, 2015 I don't know what happened to me... I saw 2 episodes then I became obsessed. I'm an OOOLLLDD man. This is a kids show.... designed for girls to boot.... what the hell is wrong with me. I have access to a 24 hour kids channel POP. they air it at unearthly hours. I wake up now at those ridiculous hours so I can watch it. I race home from work to catch a 6pm broadcast. I stopped watching the news. I even joined a forum to talk about this. My GF thinks I'm loopy and doesn't really see the fascination... now I'm doing the unthinkable... I'm considering buying MLP merchandise. like a derpy plushie or something. This has all happened in the space of about 3 weeks!!! ...am I losing my mind? Some months later while browsing on Youtube I came across some funny pony videos including a joke about 'The Royal Wii'. I saw the Good Mythical Morning episode on bronies, then I watched two episodes, and thought, "Well, better this squared away," and I joined the forums and ordered all seasons on disc the next day. Then a week later when I got the bravery and time I walked to go get a rainbow dash plush for reasons. Friends had been trying to convince me to watch it but I figured it wouldn't be my cup of tea because I've never liked "girly" things. Then someone showed me a clip with Discord and that sparked my interest. Discord is to blame for me becoming a brony but that's not the only reason I stayed. Once I had a taste of the show I got hooked and couldn't stop watching episode after episode. Sure proved me wrong for judging it beforehand. Now here I am drawing fan art, reading fan fictions, collecting everything from figurines to comics to t-shirts, and posting in a brony community form. Once I did finally watch it, it didn't take very long. I marathoned multiple episodes in that same day and kept marathoning them until I was caught up. From finding out about it and being extremely creeped out. Watched it to laugh at it and then ended up somehow enjoying it. Yep that's it. Took a couple of days I'd say.
