Comic collections?

Have collected books been released or are they being planned? I haven't bought any of the comics yet, and if collected books are coming down the line, I'll wait before grabbing back issues.

I own several volumes of the MLP comics; I believe there are generally four issues to a volume.  And now there are also larger omnibus volumes being released.

I own several volumes of the MLP comics; I believe there are generally four issues to a volume.  And now there are also larger omnibus volumes being released.

Sadly, the first omnibus doesn't include any of the "side stories"... And Pony Tales Volume 1 doesn't include the Rarity microcomic's side story.

 

Collected editions can lose you content, by the looks of it.

 

If you're up for buying digital editions instead of physical comics, it might be worth buying the individual issues digitally (comiXology.com seems pretty good for that).

 

Volume 1 (the first four issues of the main series) does seem to include an exclusive side story, though, that isn't included in the individual issues.

 

So... Suggestion in summary:

 

Buy digital via comiXology; Get Volume 1 for the first four issues of the main series, but for everything else, buy individual issues.
